3 out of 5 eggsStock fans are loud!

Pros: Used for about a month now, and I have to say that given I bought the H80i Refurbished for much cheaper It's a fair deal for the overall performance I suppose.

Cons: The fans are loud, and the primary reason I gave this a 3 star rating is the noise factor. The stock fans are just plain unacceptable in terms of noise.

Normally I'd let it go when it comes to air cooling, but because this is water cooling I was expecting It to be a silent solution, but It's far from it..

Yes you could easily buy better fans, but imagine spending full price for this cooler which is $99.99 currently, at that stage I would say it's a complete rip off. You're better off with the highest end Noctua heatsink priced at $99.99..

The Corsair Link software is terrible, and NOT correctly supported for Windows 8 and up. And as of today there is no support, you have to literally use a Registery Edit method to make it work.. =/ Disappointment from Corsair.

Other Thoughts: Final thoughts? Well If you buy it Refurbished I'd say It's good deal, however forget spending the retail price for this product as there are far better quiet solutions out there that perform the same If not better.

If you're looking for silence you WILL have to replace those fans with something better. The will be apparent If you have your desktop on a desk, even at low RPM's.. And even more so on load..

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Bought this for a new gaming build. Using an AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz. Haven't had any problems, the pump isn't too loud at all. Overall a great experience. The highest temps I've recorded were between 22 & 30 degrees celsius under some pretty heavy loads.

Cons: The only con I really have with this, is that installation is a bit rough. It's quite big and hoses aren't too flexible. It's very close to my ram which makes me a bit uncomfortable. Also, the program that comes with it (corsair link) is a little iffy. It's not entirely needed though, but is good for seeing how hot you're running.

Other Thoughts: It didn't say it was compatible with AM3+ sockets, but it is. I only really knocked off 1 egg because installation was really a hassle and would be better if you had an extra pair of hands. If I had to, I would definitely buy this again or recommend it to a friend!

5 out of 5 eggsGood buy

Pros: For the price it is an excellent buy...unfortunately my Corsair pump is upside down otherwise it wouldn't clear my RAM with the hoses. With it running in quiet mode it keeps my temps the same as my former air cooler and is quieter. Right now it is 10 degrees Celcius idle...haven't seen it go above 35 gaming.

Cons: With a side window case the logo upside down bugs me..but that is trivial and the fact that it won't clear my RAM.

4 out of 5 eggsHardware is awesome, software sucks

Pros: Corsair is awesome about refurbs and you wouldn't even know it wasn't brand new unless you bought it. Keeps my CPU (i5 4690K at stock speeds) nice and cool.

Idles around 25°C and never goes above 50°C even after playing Battlefield 4 multiplayer and Far Cry 4 on ultra for 10 hours straight, all while on the minimum fan speeds, so I'll be more than confident when I do decide to overclock it.

The back-lit logo looks nice in my windowed case, and the fan speeds and LED color are all adjustable, but...

Cons: You have to use Corsair Link, which is just a buggy, awful piece of software. The most recent version from Corsair's website wouldn't even detect my H80i so I had to find a download of version 2.4 and edit my registry, which no software should ever make you do just to provide basic functionality. v2.4 now detects my H80i but that's it. Luckily I use MSI Afterburner to monitor temps, and use a separate fan controller for my case fans, so it's not a big deal.

I purchased this for a new build and initially thought I got a bad GPU because the fans would be so loud during gameplay, but it just turned out that the H80i's fans were set on "Performance Mode" out of the box, so I put them on "Quiet" mode and haven't looked back. The installation instructions could've been a bit more clear at certain points (you have to remove the protective covering on the 3-pin fan splitter, which it makes no indication of in the instructions, making me think they added the wrong part), and it almost requires another pair of hands to install.

Other Thoughts: I know I went on a bit of rant about Corsair Link, but I bought this for almost half the price of a brand new H80i and at that price this is a great buy, but if I was paying full price I might look at other water cooling units.

4 out of 5 eggsIts great!

Pros: -Easy to install
-basically looked brand new
-Material feels solid
-quiet pump

Cons: Fans are loud. On quiet mode you'll hear a slight hum (it helps if you use closed headphones) but as soon as the fans go over 1000 rpms it gets louder. Not a big issue though b/c for the price ($45 on sale) it's a great value.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, once you make some changes...

Pros: >Keeps my overclocked FX-8320 @ 4.5 Ghz with great temps.
>Fairly easy to install.
>High quality radiator and pipes. I am not afraid of leaks.
> Only $45, great value.

Cons: > Stock fans unacceptably loud.
> Software to control fans is very buggy (Corsair Link)
> I have had problems with LOUD pump noise.

Other Thoughts: I was quite disappointed with this unit when I first got it because not only were the fans extremely loud, but the pump would make a loud noise at a frequency of 1-2 hz every once in a while and I couldnt figure out how to get it to go away. I bought some cougar CF-T12S4 fans and put those on instead. Fan noise went WAY down and for some reason the pump no longer makes noise either!

The software however is a pain to use. I have had to reinstall many times because it wouldn't save my settings upon reboot...

For anyone who is wondering about temps, I have overclocked my FX-8320 1000 Mhz from stock and I idle around 25 celcius and while in games hover around 35-40. A prime 95 stress test for 15 minutes will cap at about 58 celcius. This is with well applied Arctic MX-4 themal paste. These are great temperatures considering AMD cpus run hot and I am running a pretty high overclock.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the money.

Pros: CPU: i7-4790k

- Easy to install
- Looks great through the see-through side panel
- Cools fairly okay
- CHEAP! ($45 on sale)

Cons: - LOUD! Oh boy, if you keep your case near your head, I REALLY SUGGEST you not buy this. 2200 RPM pump will make entire table vibrate. However, if it is below, then you can live with the noise. The fans also are like really loud unless put in silent mode.
- I see some people got theirs like practically new, mine however, can see that there is some sort of damage.
- There was green liquid residue on the side when I took it off.
- Had to remount because of horrible temperatures

Other Thoughts: I went from the xigmatek to the h80i thinking it would be better, but my temperatures were a lot worse. I remounted and saw that my temperatures idled around 35-37 and gaming/cpu full usage would take the temps to mid 70's. It's winter time here, so ambient temperature in my house wasn't that hot either, Maybe I had a defective system? not too sure. BUT CORSAIR customer service is amazing. I had a bad fan, and I thought that might have been the reason for the bad temps, so I changed the fan they provided (Free) but I think my entire unit was just not up to par. If you are looking for a AIO cooler and only have space for one, then this is good. However, if dual rad available, please get that instead of this. Only reason this is a 4 star instead of 3 is b/c I believe customer service was really good.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost perfect

Pros: Completely quiet during normal use but extremely efficient and capable of considerable cooling.
Extremely sturdy parts and components.
Looks brand new, no sign of "refurbishing".
Keeps my CPU (i7-4790) around 26°C at idle and never hotter than 40°C after 20 minutes at 100% on all cores (fan is running at 50% speed at that point, 1200rpm of a max of 2479). Same with a Xeon E3-1230v2, 30°C at idle and 41°C at full load (case isn't as free-flowing).

Cons: Does get noisy at max speed but max speed is never required.
Knocked one egg off due to three very minor installation issues:
- The fan that goes between the radiator and the case is a handful to align during installation. It would be better if it was possible to fix the fan to the radiator (or case) before finally assembling them all together.
- The Y connector that connects the supplied fans to the cooling block comes with little plastic covers to protect the pins (good) but the instructions don't mention removing the protective cover and it looks like it's just part of the connector, leading to confusion until you realize that you can actually take it off to reveal the pins.
- The Corsair Link software is a little buggy on Windows 8.1. The instructions posted in got it working for me though.

Other Thoughts: Excellent value, especially when the refurbished version is on sale.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst part of my build by far

Pros: Does what it's supposed to do eventually.

Cons: Corsair Link is the buggiest most frustrating piece of software I have ever had the displeasure of using, the software takes practically hours to work (exaggerating) and even when it does work it's so choppy and unmanageable it takes nearly 10 minutes to do ANYTHING with it. None of the functions are clear, and I've had to manually change the same settings multiple times as even "Saving" the profile does not actually save the settings for some reason, and has frozen more times than windows vista. my computer is fantastic, it can run any high end program I ask it to with no difficulty, but it can't run corsair link apparently.

Other Thoughts: I got it at a severely reduced price, and I would've returned it had it not been so cheap. got what I paid for, but would never pay full price.
