5 out of 5 eggsSo Far So good! instructions could be better

This review is from: Corsair Hydro Series™ H80i GT High Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler. 120mm

Pros: -This is soooooo much more quite than the stock CPU I had. So much so i had to check if it was on
-My CPU is now running about 20C less than before on idle speed.

Cons: The main thing that was frustrating was the instructions. The biggest issue was the mounting bracket step and wiring up the two fans. I had to go online and watch several different videos to get the answer for these peices. most of the videos were for Intel. As for the two fans, you plug them into the 2nd set of 'random' wires.

Other Thoughts: -When i first turned on my machine it would not turn on! I unscrewed the mounting screws just a little. that solved that issue.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

This review is from: Corsair Hydro Series™ H80i GT High Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler. 120mm

Pros: Keeps my AMD-FX at near room temperature even under heavy use.
I replaced the grey fans it came with, with a pair of Green LED Corsair 120 mm fans (just because I wanted to, the grey ones it came with were fine but I like green) and it looks and performs awesome in my build. The software is also pretty nice, it lets you customize the led's on the 'Corsair' Logo and track the temperature of your different components.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: The hose's are a bit long for my mid-size atx case, it would probably look better in a full-size setup.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat product

This review is from: Corsair Hydro Series™ H80i GT High Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler. 120mm

Pros: SILENT. This thing really makes next to no noise even with both fans installed. Keeps my i7 6700k running at about 30C under heavy loads. I haven't seen it go over 37 even during long game sessions.

Cons: Kind of tricky to install. The radiator is very large so you must have a FULL SIZE case to store this thing or be prepared to modify your mid size one heavily. The fans can be mounted inside or outside the case though. Poor documentation for installation. Fortunately the Corsair web site has a detailed video for installing this thing.

Other Thoughts: If you like a quiet gaming rig then I would definitely recommend this product. It really is great. If it wasn't so large and had better instillation instructions, it would have received five stars. Newegg deliver gets five stars. It was well packaged and arrived within 4 days from purchase with free shipping. AWESOME

4 out of 5 eggsCool Yet Loud

This review is from: Corsair Hydro Series™ H80i GT High Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler. 120mm

Pros: Having an AMD 8350 makes water cooling pretty much an essential. This is my first Corsair water cooler and it does the trick. Keeps my CPU around the mid 60's with heavy usage and low 30's when idle. Best part is that when the FX-8350 is outdated I can use this water cooler for Intel processors because I refuse to buy an AMD APU. What the hell AMD...

Cons: My CPU has never hit 100% load, but at 40% it sounds like the fans are working over time. It's almost as if it's trying to simulate a refrigerator in my tower.

Other Thoughts: It's very loud, but works very well.

1 out of 5 eggsCorsair Hydro Series H80i

This review is from: Corsair Hydro Series™ H80i GT High Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler. 120mm

Pros: What I love about this item is that the fans are fairly quiet. The LED light is a neat feature. If I had a case that had a side window it would add a nice touch, but I do not have a side window. The neat thing about the LED logo is that you can control it and tell it how to react to certain temperatures. Blue for cool, red for hot, and so on. I also found this cooler a lot easier to set up versus a previous Corsair cooler that I had (H60??? 3 years ago I forgot). The fans have a place to plug in. Considering my last build did so well with this item, I decided why not go with them again...

Cons: The pipes are very stiff. So stiff you can not really do a lot with this cooler as far as placement goes. One of the tubes is just pushing on my video card which makes me wonder how safe that is. I like that the tubes will not become loose or leak, but way too stiff.

One of the fans died after having it for a week. I noticed my CPU was getting warmer than usual under not so heavy load at all, look at the back of the case and there it is, one fan not spinning. Tried plugging it in different areas, and no luck. I have plenty of corsair case fans, so I was able to plug one of those in, and get it working correctly. Not too happy with one fan failing though. I worry about the other.

Other Thoughts: Sure I could RMA the unit, but what's the point? Be left without cooling on my computer would not work considering I can't put this Intel on air, because no fan or heatsink included on some of the new ones. Hopefully this faulty fan is just that one bad lemon of the bunch, but because of that I can not give it more than 2 stars. One of my Corsair power supplies died 2 weeks ago, and now this fan, kind of leaves a sour taste behind.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING liquid cooler

This review is from: Corsair Hydro Series™ H80i GT High Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler. 120mm

Pros: Super awesome liquid cooler. Easy to install. Really low temps, great software.
I run an AMD FX-9590 and idle is around 5-9 Celsius, full load is around 25c.
I love the LED in the heat sink. Can be changed to whatever color you desire.
Pump and fan speeds are controlled through the software.

Cons: None, a little big I guess. Be ready to move fans around inside if u have a mid-tower. Full tower would be no issue

5 out of 5 eggsBest Liquid Cooler Under $100 - Fxware

This review is from: Corsair Hydro Series™ H80i GT High Performance Water / Liquid CPU Cooler. 120mm

Pros: High Quality, Fat Radiator, and Two 120mm Fans

Cons: Getting it to fit AMD Am3+ motherboards. Instructions below.

Other Thoughts: ATTENTION: If you are having trouble fitting (will not tighten) the supplied standoff screws to the existing bracket of your AM3+/FM2+ motherboard then follow these instructions:

1. Find the included plastic intel backplate.
2. Remove the 4 metal bolts that are sticking out.
3. Glue 4 thin pieces of rubber to the two thicker sides and let it dry.
4. On the back, put the plastic intel bracket in between your motherboard and your old AMD bracket with the glued on rubber touching the motherboard.
5. Now screw the black standoff screws into the backplate from inside the PC and you are good to go!
