5 out of 5 eggsQuiet as can be and lasts forever

Pros: I ordered 3 of these in august of 2010. I've used them in several builds, transferring them from one case to another. Almost 5 years later, they are now silently cooling my htpc in an antec isk-600m case.

Thanks to the low rpm's, they are dead silent. So long as you have a good air flow strategy for your build, these will push enough air to keep you happy with your thermals.

Cons: They are pricey (but worth it).

They may not fit your needs if you are in a situation where pushing lots of air is more important than the noise levels.

Other Thoughts: If you are purchasing several of these and plan to use a fan controller, be aware that these fans already run at very low rpm's. Turning down those rpm's with a controller can actually cause the fan to stop. I have noticed this behavior with 2 different fan controllers. The same may be possible using pwm controls through the bios, but I have never turned them below 100%, so I can't say for sure.

But really, they are so quiet, turning the rpm down is rather pointless.

5 out of 5 eggsWhisper quiet with decent airflow

Pros: There is the never ending battle to find the perfect fan. One usually has to pick 2 out of 3 with fans: Quiet, Airflow, and Price, but I'll dare say with these you can come darn close.

+ Whisper Quiet
+ Decent air flow
+ Good price considering how quiet they are!
+ The S-FDB is sexy quiet + no wear and tear

Cons: - Hard to find a decent replacement when these are out of stock :-/

Other Thoughts: You'll want to spend the few extra minutes to make sure your case airflow pulls in cold from the bottom and pushes out hot air at the top.
e.g.
Rig setup -- Phenom 955 BE, 5770 XFire, port-side fan in pull config, blow-hole fan in push config, keeps everything cool.

Only pseudo con is that NewEgg no longer stocks them, nor lists the last-known-stocking price! C'mon NewEgg, let readers "vote" on what a good replacement would be, and link to something in stock.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat quite fan, but less airflow than advertised.

Pros: -very quiet, almost inaudible. Definetly not going to be the loudest component in your case
-Solid construction
-comes with 4pin to Molex adaptor

Cons: - Marginal amount of airflow. I dont think this has 33.4CFM

3 out of 5 eggsReplaced very quickly

Pros: Large
Its a fan; it moves air

Cons: Loud
Expensive

Other Thoughts: Very quickly replaced with a Cooler Master fan that had a larger CFM and made less noise. Not a bad fan per say, but for the price, you can definitely get a better option

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect. Two years running.

Pros: Running just as well as new, after more than two years. There's been no change in speed or noise.

I love the fluid dynamic bearings, and the fan speed is ideal for decent air flow and whisper quiet operation.

This is my top pick for a low RPM 120mm.

Cons: This fan won't be for everyone. It is extremely quiet, but it's not much good for a rig with a 1000 watt power supply!

Other Thoughts: This fan is used daily for hours, with multiple stop/start cycles each day when entering sleep mode. It's a case fan in a very low powered ultra quiet AMD rig; initially a 5050e, now a quad core 610e system. Users rave that it never gets hot, and they can't hear it!

Second review. See my first review 2jun09.

4 out of 5 eggsExactly what I wanted

Pros: Very Quiet - These have noticeably lowered the audible noise of my case. This means less noise pollution while I listen to my music or enjoy my movies.

Cons: My setup does run warmer now, as I expected it would.

Other Thoughts: They dont move as much as as previous fans, but they are a great deal quieter and since I had some room to give on cooling and don't overclock, I'm happy with the trade-off. All 4 fans were fully functional

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fan!

Pros: Virtually quiet. Fits perfect for the rear 120 mm opening on an Antec 300 case.

Cons: Absolutely none so far after 1 month of full-time use.

Other Thoughts: I was looking to replace the default Antec 120 mm fan that came with my 300 case. This unit can be controlled by the motherboard and will let you track fan speed. Excellent!
