3 out of 5 eggsOn the fence for this rating

Pros: It really is a good fan. It moves a lot of air, but still remains fairly quiet. It isn't dead silent, but its not something that overwhelms or even hinders normal conversation while near it.

Cons: The only problem I have with this fan is that it seems you will be taking chances on whether you get a good fan or not. I bought two of these and while the first one works perfectly, the other one did not. It was very loud and died on me after just two and a half months. One thing that was nice is that even so, both of the fans pushed about the same amount of air.

Other Thoughts: As usual, newegg's customer service is good. I complained about it to newegg just after receiving the purchase and asked for an exchange. While they did not give me an exchange (the total cost in shipping made it not worthwhile apparently), they did refund me the cost of the fan. Its not what I wanted, I'd rather have the fan, but it is way better than what some other places have done for me.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Fan

Pros: This is an amazing fan! It pushes so much air!

Cons: Its VERY loud. Get a fan controller if you do not have one!

Other Thoughts: It says its a 140mm fan, it is a 140mm fan, but it can only screw into a 120mm fan screwing hole thingies.

5 out of 5 eggsScythe Standards.

Pros: - BIG 140mm. Still may fit on 120.
- REVOLUTIONARY DESIGN in every aspect of functionality, STRONG, BIG MOTOR and round so you don't get bored.
- For its speed it is quite quiet at full 1900rpm but it will make your computer sound like hovercraft craft at full speed due to the aerodynamic of the CASE just keep it at 1000rpm.
- Very good Screws included, NO issues to install.

Cons: - No LEDs, but come on it is all about the performance here.
- If you only have 140 mounting holes there is little you can do, but that is the System Case fault.

Other Thoughts: (120mm mounting holes) I don't know if this is a CON or not I think it depends on you but it is truly not if you know you are getting a different fan that is round to begin with.

Get the @ 1000rpm model if you don't need that much air anyways and want to have a low noise profile PC without a fan controller.

And remember every fan has its application. You have to do the math to get exactly what you want.
I did replace this fan later with LEDs fans but I feel no regrets for this I will keep them around maybe for a special setup in the future. Now I have a PC my mom calls "LasVegas".

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent value if it fits

Pros: 1. high cfm;
2. inexpensive;
3. not too loud when used as exhaust - I took mine off the controller after a few days;
4. works great to replace 140mm exhaust in Coolermaster HAF case so prob replaces other 140's too;

Cons: 1. loud enough some will wish controller particularly if close to the ear or not in the back of the case;
2. often out of stock at Newegg so had buy by the bay for a little more $ and ? support - glad it worked;
3. others have described fitting a 140mm fan with 120mm fan size screw hole template, so I won't bother;

Other Thoughts: 1. thin rubber washers really help dampen vibration and are easy to use - especially with a dot of glue
2. the only noise I hear is air whooshing out
3. wish Scythe made a 140mm S-FLEX
4. can usually replace a 140 with a 120 but this fan is unique so it's fun to check one out

5 out of 5 eggsJust couldn't wait any longer...

Pros: I purchased this to sit on top of my Thermalright AXP-140. I specifically chose this one for it's airflow. It was no mistake. My temps at idle are 33-35C, and seldom more than 42C under load. Although, I've not yet fully stressed my system yet. For what I'm doing with it, this combination is more than adequate.

Cons: The sound is like a low hum, or more of a woosh. And I'm running this fan at full speed constantly. So I don't think this is a con. I like my temps too much to think so.

Other Thoughts: If you need a fan that really puts out, get this one.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Price!!! large fan for small change.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Some claim its loud but, I use headphones alot. And when not using headphones I really dont notice the sound. Note I do have hearing loss due to being around turbine engines and other loud noises like BOMBs blowing up in South West Asia Countries.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge CFM

Pros: This fan moves air!!!! I mean I can actually feel air being forced around gaps in case!!! It's not loud at all. It will mount in 120mm fan screw holes, but you better make sure you have at least 1/2" on all sides beyond case edge of 120mm fan or it won't fit.

Cons: No cons, just wish they made these in clear plastic.

5 out of 5 eggsLoud but good.

Pros: So far, this brought my typical temps down 10 total degrees celcius in combination with a new CPU fan and a Scythe S-Flex 120 MM fan, plus the 2 stock 120 mm fans that come with your Nvidia Cooler Master case.

Cons: LOUD! It is as loud as my box fan I use during the summer.

Other Thoughts: All things considered, you need to move a lot of air if you want to keep your pc cool. The noise is livable considering the amount of heat reduction the fans provide.

5 out of 5 eggsGood fan

Pros: This is a killer fan, runs really quiet compared to my 4 80mm fans in my case. I almost can't tell its running. moves a good ammount of air to boot.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: should have bought more.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cools like what you would expect from the specs listed on newegg. Not as loud as I thought it would be, and it's worth noting that the noise it makes doesn't sound annoying, sounds like the smooth movement of alot of air.

Cons: It's shown as a 140mm fan but the one I recieved only has 120mm screw holes, this works fine for my case, but not every case will have 120mm holes for a 140mm fan slot.
