5 out of 5 eggsNice balance of airflow to noise

Pros: Very impressed. Good balance of airflow and noise. Replaced my stock case fan w/ two of these (so from one outflow to one out and one in) and can hear the difference.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Read and understand the specs before you buy. A regular 120mm fan will produce 70-80 or more CFM. This fan does 37 CFM. BUT it's dB rating is only 16 (vs 25+dB for a regular 120mm fan). In terms of "perceived change" in noise, the 25 dB fan is roughly twice as loud this fan. So half the airflow and roughly half the perceived noise... a fair trade off to me.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet

Pros: Very Quiet

Cons: Not a real con but very little air flow. Of course I kind of expected a small amount since it runs so slow. Cooling is not a real issue since it blows over a 65 w AMD processor

4 out of 5 eggsVery Quiet with Good Cooling, too!

Pros: Very quiet. Good quality manufacturing, holes always line up and they don't die too soon.

Cons: None thus far.

Other Thoughts: They seem a tad high priced, but that's what you must pay to get additional cooling without any noticeable noise. I generally use these for clients with home offices, executive offices or in conference/meeting rooms where ambient noise is an issue. I don't use these in dirty environments or where cooling is more important than noise, like server/equipment rooms. I've purchased several dozen over the last 4 years and been very happy with them. I've not had one fail yet...

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Very quiet, not silent but quiet. changed from a Thermal Take to this. temps stay down and so does the noise.

Cons: none so far, not TT fault..it was turning 2600 rpm have to expect noise...but not that much

Other Thoughts: bought this and a Scythe S-FLEX 80mm, just should have gotten the next step up on the 80. it's to low of flow, but i can hear myself think again!! :) disc drive is louder then the fans now... ps. i ordered Friday late{early Saturday) got my gear on Tuesday.. good going egg

5 out of 5 eggsBest In Class

Pros: Very Quiet, Very Heavy Construction, Well Balanced Blades, Precision Craftmanship, Worth The Price Paid. The frame of the fan is so sturdy that it does not flex. The fan blades are so close to the frame that it eliminates the air turbulence noise from the blade tips.

Cons: The fans are Ugly and the fan wiring was Unsleeved and Short (12"). I had to make extension cables to reach the fan headers on my mainboard.

Other Thoughts: The Scythe Gentle Typhoon series of fans are very well made and you can match CFM on different sizes so you can have an even air flow from your case. I have one 120mm and one 92mm for my case exhaust, both flow 37CFM and do it under 20 dBA. Having the same CFM on all of your fans is important to reduce fan noise. If one fan is pushing more CFM than another fan, then the lower CFM fan is straining to keep air from back-flowing into it which creates turbulence, noise, increases power consumption and shortens life expectancy.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent so far

Pros: Bought 3 of these fans for my A70B Lian Li case as top vent exhaust fans and they work excellent and very low noise. They also pull alot of heat if you know how to set up your computer right with air cooling.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsJumped gun on first review...

Pros: WAS the quietest fan in my case, still moves air, but...

Cons: After about two days of use the fan started making this awful, very noticeable buzzing sound, its not rattling against the case or anything as it makes this noise while your holding it.

Other Thoughts: Was odd to begin with, initially it would only spin at 670rpm, over the course of the day it reached the full 1120rpm, and now on the 2nd day its running at 1195rpm and is buzzing and is now the most noisy fan in the case. : /

Even using a fan controller it still buzzes at lower rpms..

Disappointing for a 18$ fan. Good thing it had free shipping...

4 out of 5 eggsIs what it is.

Pros: Very quite, moves noticeable amount of air.

Cons: Not exactly a con but, the bios and several different monitoring programs only show the fan spinning at 600rpm, no where near the 1150rpm listed. Could be the motherboard reading wrong though.

Other Thoughts: The 3-pin connector directly from the fan could be an inch or two longer, to give more room to work with if using as a side panel fan.
