One’s desktop is an investment, worthy of exceptional protection from the searing heat of intense use. The well-equipped Arctic Pro Freezer 64 Pro is an efficient, Swiss-engineered heatsink & fan combo that’s literally a breeze to install. The brushed black finish of the fan and durable 6-pipe copper heat sink keep their cool while transferring up to 200 watts of heat safely away from heat-sensitive parts. Compatible with Socket 754, 939, 940 and the latest AM2 platforms, the Freezer 64 Pro will work flawlessly with most late-model AMD CPUs, including all AMD Sempron, Opteron, and Athlon 64, 64 X2, and 64 FX desktops. A PWM chip keeps the 92mm fan running efficiently, with a volume of only 0.8 sone at 2200 RPM, which is tremendously quieter and more effective than the stock cooling fan. Don’t wait until your PC has crashed for good. Protect your investment today without compromising your passion for intense high-tech mayhem, with the award-winning Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat Fan

Pros: size, price, cooling efficiency

Cons: size

Other Thoughts: If your case isn't big enough this won't fit! LOL
It worked great though and brought CPU temps way down.

5 out of 5 eggsOl' reliable

Pros: Lasts a long time, quiet, very effective.

Cons: It will die... eventually.

Other Thoughts: I've had mine for almost 10 years, it has done a fantastic job of keeping several CPUs cool but the fan has finally died. Why are they discontinued?

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet, Cool, and Durable

Pros: *Very Quiet and Low Profile
*Keeps higher-end CPUs cool
*Fairly easy installation
*Long Lasting

Cons: *Rather narrow space between aluminum fins makes for less than desirable airflow and can be very difficult to clean dust build up between slots.

Other Thoughts: Keep an can of air handy when cleaning the dust from this. Fan is mounted on a rubber/plastic clip-mount, giving it some play to adsorb vibration from the fan. I've owned this for over 5 years and used it over more than a few CPUs from Low-end Dual Cores to my current High-End 6-Core CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Cooler esp after 5 years

Pros: Excellent Cooler - has been running strong since 2008 with a AMD X2 5000+ BE OC to 3.1Ghz

Cons: None at all except I am probably the only person who ran this backwards for 5 years. I never used an OEM cooler so I never had anything to compare temps to. It did an OK job even backwards inside an Antec 900 at 50C idle, 60 load but I turned it around today and I'm getting 34C idle, 50 load. WOW!

Other Thoughts: Antec 900

AMD Phenom x4 940
4GB Patriot DDR2 RAM
ASUS 7850HD Video Card

5 out of 5 eggs7 years and still going strong!

Pros: This thing is fantastic!
I bought a new fan just in case about a year ago.
Keeping the original which still works good as new as a spare :)

BTW you can buy the spare fans for around $8 shipped as far as I seem to remember directly from Arctic and other places too.

No reason to get a new cooler while this thing keeps on rocking!

On it's 4th or 5th CPU now, going to be getting a Phenom X6 next and no plans to change fan ;)

Cons: Lasts forever, quiet, effective

3 out of 5 eggsDangerous

Pros: It keeps things cool, and installation was easier than the stock fan. I bought this 8+ years ago, for the sole purpose of cooling my first build. And it's still lasted.

Cons: It broke the mounting bracket on two of my boards. Eventually we purchased a metal bracket, which cost ~5. Maybe I did something wrong, but my comp was out of service while the brackets were broken. Maybe the brackets were faulty, but since it happened across two boards, I have to dock eggs for that.

Other Thoughts: I know it's been discontinued, but it's worth reviewing anyways. Mine is on it's last leg, the fan is almost dead because I failed to clean it properly. If you can find it, good for you.
