One’s desktop is an investment, worthy of exceptional protection from the searing heat of intense use. The well-equipped Arctic Pro Freezer 64 Pro is an efficient, Swiss-engineered heatsink & fan combo that’s literally a breeze to install. The brushed black finish of the fan and durable 6-pipe copper heat sink keep their cool while transferring up to 200 watts of heat safely away from heat-sensitive parts. The powerful Freezer 64 Pro adds edginess to your system with its aggressively engineered look.
Compatible with Socket 754, 939, 940 and the latest AM2 platforms, the Freezer 64 Pro will work flawlessly with most late-model AMD CPUs, including all AMD Sempron, Opteron, and Athlon 64, 64 X2, and 64 FX desktops. A PWM chip keeps the 92mm fan running efficiently, with a volume of only 0.8 sone at 2200 RPM, which is tremendously quieter and more effective than the stock cooling fan. Don’t wait until your PC has crashed for good. Protect your investment today without compromising your passion for intense high-tech mayhem, with the award-winning Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro.
Pros: I build and repair computers for a living and have my own shop. We have installed just about every type of CPU HSF from every major manufacturer out there. I can't believe the performance for the price. I was so impressed that I dumped a product costing 3x as much and installed 1 on my personal gaming rig. Don't hesitate... Get yours now!
Cons: This isn't really a con, but it is very large. When installing on my new MSI K8N Diamond Plus the space between the northbridge fan and the locking mechanism was paper thin.
Spend the extra bucks and have your products sent by FedEx. I know NewEgg switched to UPS for lower prices to remain competitive with other e-tailers. My personal experience is the FedEx delivers faster and boxes arrive in much better condition. The few times I've used UPS the boxes look like they were drug behind the truck from California to Virginia. Your choice.
Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a quiet high performance product this is it. I have recommended this to all my customers. You should also know that I've been a NewEgg customer for many years (like 7) and we purchase over 90% of our components from NewEgg. They are the best of the best!

Awesome

Pros: Quiet, easy to install, compatible with socket AM2! Price!
Cons: non-the only thing is, when this thing is installed on my motherboard, i can't access the first ram slot, but that's not a problem for me cause I have no plans to remove my ram for some time.....
Other Thoughts: If you are looking for an after-market h/s for your socket AM2 cpu, consider this one. It lowered my idle temps of my x2 4200+ from 34c to 26c! and mb temps from 36C to 27C... This thing is installed on my ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe and there are no clarance problems with the heatpipes at all.

Pros: Cools exceptionally well at a very reasonable cost compared to products with similar quality and performance.
Cons: Locking lever is between CPU socket and power supply in most PC cases. It would be between the CPU and the case in others. Either way, there isn't room to install it. Best would be a design change where you could put the lever on the other side of the CPU socket if you chose. (Or a separate model# for those who need the current arrangement.) Until then install it before you put the motherboard in the case. Or in upgrading to this better level of CPU cooler, do like I ultimately had to do, remove the power supply to get the space necessary to be able to install it.
Other Thoughts: Copper base is undersized for AMD processors, running 1 core on my dual processor several degrees C hotter. Perhaps this is new since pad size isn't given in the item description. I hate returning things despite how easy Newegg makes it thanks to their stellar customer service in that regard.

A solid selection

Pros: I have had this thing in my latest build for a few years now. At the time, it was half the cost of the best cooler on the market (Zallman), and just as good. The only thing about it I questioned was it's longevity. Almost 4 years later, and it is still cooling my system well. 31 at idle, never higher than 55 under load. For it's price, you can not beat it's quality.
It is also quiet, and the detachable fan makes it easy to clean. The rubber boot mounts also eliminate any vibration noise. I hope my next cooler is at least this well designed. The fins are pretty durable as well, I have never once bent one even after several cleanings.
Cons: It was bit tricky to install. Probably more my problem than its.
Other Thoughts: I don't know how this thing holds up against newer cpu's, but I would imagine that it probably kicks the **** out of anything it will fit on. If you have an older AMD system with a 939 like me, and can't afford to upgrade to something newer, and you need a new HSF, I would say get this. More expensive HSF may be better, but not proportionately to the price.
