1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: I bought this as a fan to exhaust air from a closed cabinet that my wife's computer resides in. She's running an i7 780, and a geforce 210. It doesn't get too warm unless she's encoding a long video stream. I wanted something in the medium speed range, and this seemed like a good choice. It does move a fair amount of air.

Cons: There is a ticking from the motor regardless of speed. Despite being mounted in rubber mounts, which do nothing for the ticking sound, or blade noise, it's still very noticeable. I've had to strike a balance using a Zalman fanmate to reduce it's speed to be slow enough to be tolerable, yet not allow the PC to get too warm when being heavily used. Really disappointed after spending this amount of money to get a high quality fan.

Other Thoughts: I've always heard great things about the Scythe Slip Stream series. Maybe this one is an anomaly, but I was really shocked at the amount of motor noise it produced. I've had dozens of cheap case fans and some not so cheap. They may not have great noise/air ratios, but I've never heard this amount of ticking in person.

2 out of 5 eggsLouder than 23 decibels

Pros: Moves a decent amount of air.

Cons: Does not operate at the new egg advertised 23 decibels, it has a loud whirring noise which I find intolerably annoying when I bought this fan under the impression that it would only be 23 decibels.

Other Thoughts: This fan is designed for a 120 mm slot, that is either a plus or a negative depending on your needs.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Fit

Pros: Perfect Fit on the MC 922 HAF, I use the CoolIT Vantage with radiator/fan top mounted the 140mm fan is mounted in the rear, where you would mount the regular 120mm, it fitted w/o any problems took about 2 minutes to mount it. It moves a lot of air even at low rpm. I do use a 4 port fan controller the AeroCool 1000 and the temperatures overall are excellent while the computer remains silent.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I recommend a fan controller, you don't need high rpm fan(s) to create airflow inside the case, just make sure the case is well vented. I don't have any issues with the AeroCool 1000 it's been working steady since I got it and it does what I need it to do.

3 out of 5 eggsMakes a whirring noise

Pros: Moves enough air to keep me satisfied.

Cons: Rather annoying whirring noise that the Cooler Master 140mm fan I replaced it with didn't have.

Other Thoughts: I will be shopping around for a different fan and returning this.

5 out of 5 eggsNice fan

Pros: Big.
More than enough Airflow.

Cons: nothing. just be aware of the 120mm Mounting.

Other Thoughts: Dremelled the side of my case to put this in so it fits perfectly :D have it blowing on my Vid cards. moves tons of air and is up to par noise wise with the 5 other 120s i have in the case. really a great fan.

5 out of 5 eggsgood for air-flow

Pros: creates alot of wind
aggressive fan blade design
small center hub

Cons: this is not a silent PC fan, even with a fan controller setting this to very low you can still hear the high pitch emitting from the 0.20a

Other Thoughts: Silent running fans with good air flow are golden - if this is you, look elsewhere

5 out of 5 eggsWhoa!

Pros: First off, kudos to Newegg... I ordered two of these Wednesday, cheapo shipping, and here they are, Friday at 1300...

Huge fans to be able to use on normal 120 mounts, can push lots of air with less noise than an equivalent 120.

Just tried it out, very very quiet, TONS of airflow... I am stoked.

Cons: I knew it would be an issue, so I ordered some normal 120s also, but I can't put these into the side door of my CM Stacker case... /sadface

Not really a con, but figured I would mention it anyways.

Other Thoughts: Truly qualifies for "Other Thoughts"...

Fits perfectly in the tupperware I brought lunch to work in...

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended

Pros: I got what I paid for and I'm happy. It may not be a top of the line power fan due to the sleeve bearing but it is quiet, and moves a fair amount of air. For the price it serves me well as I purchased this knowing the down sides of sleeve bearing fans. I wanted to experiment with my air flow without dropping more $$$ than necessary at this point. I have it mounted in the top of my case as an exhaust along with a Magma 68cfm in the rear. It runs nice and quiet and no additional noise from being run in a horizontal mount unlike a lot of other fans. My PC sits right beside my desk on a short stand approx 12" tall so any loud fan noise would be right where you wouldn't want it. This fan is doing what I hoped it would, a little more exhaust and no added fan noise. It definitely pulls added cool air through my case. The screw pattern is 120mm, and it is slightly smaller around the outside dimensions where the sides are more rounded causing it not to completely fill a standard 140mm opening.

Cons: Really NO cons so far after one month use. For the price I would think it would come with sleeved wire harness, but no problem as I have the ability to do that myself. This is a mid range fan, if you need massive air flow from 140mm fan this may not be for you. But this does keep up with a Magma rated at 68cfm and is very noticeably quieter even blowing through the grate in the top of my case.
