1 out of 5 eggswarning -- not standard

Pros: Comes with molex power adapter cable.
Cables are nice and long.

Cons: Not standard 140 mm fan.
Has only 120 mm screw holes. But but the frame extends beyond the mounting holes and it is too big to fit in the 120-only fan mounts in my cases. The size of the unit means it will only fit in places designed for 140mm fans, so why not use 140mm screw locations?
Has another cable (NOT detachable) to an expansion slot cover with a knob for manual control. You can still set it for common pwm control, but you can't avoid having to mount that bracket.
The pictures are misleading -- THEY SHOULD SHOW THE 2 CABLES AND THE BRACKET.

Other Thoughts: Silly me. I searched for 140mm 4-wire fans, found only a few, and ordered this without looking closely enough.
I wanted to use it as a front intake fan, but that requires mounting on the outside of the front frame of my case, and the expansion-slot cover will not fit thru the slots. Even if I solved that somehow, the vile 120-mount/140-dimension thing make it impossible to put in the the lower front slot and would block the lower slot if I put it in the upper. I want two front input fans and this unit simply cannot be part of that.
Not usable with my case for what I wanted to do.
Would it work if I cut the cable to the expansion-slot bracket????? (Not worth my testing because of the size issue).

3 out of 5 eggsSlip Stream 140 with controller

Pros: It’s very quiet when mounted VERTICAL.

Includes rear mount "fan controller with PWM to VR switch" but see cons...

Cons: I wish the description and/or pictures made this clear…The fan is hardwired to the controller so if you only want to use PWM mode and don’t want to add the clutter of a fan controller it will require modification.

Sleeve bearing…it produces vibration and can be noisy when mounted horizontally. However, at the lowest speed it’s not bad.

Other Thoughts: Had I know the fan could not be easily disconnected from the controller I would have paid a few dollars more for a better PWM fan.

Be aware…140mm fan but it only has 120mm mounting holes.

4 out of 5 eggsNice but...

Pros: 140mm (120mm mounting holes) with PWM, good for CPU coolers, fits a NH-D14 perfectly
Moves a nice amount of air
Long cables, switch for DC/PWM and a control knob on a slot cover are nice for a case fan

Cons: Long cables, switch for DC/PWM and a control knob on a slot cover suck for a CPU fan and they're not shown on the pictures. I put two on my NH-D14 because I wanted PWM control, not DC, and now I have about 4ft of cables to take care of. I didn't want to cut the cables off or shorten them because I may want to use them later, because... (see next point)
Sleeve bearings. I'll replace them as soon as I can find an efficient 140mm PWM fan with FDBs. Noctua allegedly has PWM fans in the works.

5 out of 5 eggs140 in a 120 slot

Pros: Good Air flow quiet at low speed. You can use the switch and knob to tune the fan if your PWM controls are not easy to use or if you want it to run slower then your controller will let you.

Cons: I wanted a 140 mm fan and this is not one.

Other Thoughts: This is a response to my previous review and the noise I was hearing has disappeared now that the fan is mounted better.

3 out of 5 eggs140 fan that fits a 120 slot

Pros: It flows good but it makes a clicking noise at high speed

Cons: The clicking may be due to drilling it and my case to fit the 140mm fan who's only indication of having 120mm holes is on a picture of the box you have to zoom in on. My fault for not zooming all the pictures I guess. I may fix this if I find out that the clicking is due to a hap hazard install but I cannot believe they did not advertise this as 140mm fan that fits 120 fan holes.
