MX-2 is a high thermal conductivity and low thermal resistance compound for components that require optimum thermal dissipation. It is ideally suited for use in CPU, GPU cooling and other applications between power semiconductor components and heat sinks where thermal conductivity is a major factor.

Pros: Paste works amazingly well. Temps are lowest I have ever seen. E6750 @ 3.5Ghz... Temps Core#0: 16C , Core#1: 17C...

Cons: Paste is advertised as no time needed for the paste to cure itself, however after a couple hundred hours the paste was cooling 2C better than when first applied.

Other Thoughts: Do NOT spread this paste. Put a dab in the center of the CPU and push the heatsink down and twist slightly back and forth, this is the best way to evenly distribute this paste.

COOLER THAN COOL

Pros: Highly recommended for both AMD and Intel CPU's. I have both AMD X2 5000+ AM2 and Q6600(QUAD). AMD X2 temp dropped drastically after using MX-2. It drop by 20F and stays cool 95F while playing a game. My Q6600 stay cool at 105F while playing a game. I'm using ARCTIC COOLING FREEZER with it and using COOLER MASTER TX2 for my Q6600. Both PC's have 8800 GTX, 4 gig mem, 4U case with only one front 120mm case fan.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Make sure you scrape the old dried up compound on the CPU surface and scrape off the compound that comes with the new CPU cooler. DO NOT PUT TOO MUCH COMPOUND OR IT WILL BE A MESS. Just squirt a drop and wiggle CPU cooler and lock it in.
