3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: moved air
quiet

Cons: Not what I wanted or expected. See other thoughts

Other Thoughts: I bought these to replace the vga fans on my cooler. I thought they would work. They don't. They don't attach with screws, but instead snap into the artic s1 cooler. The cable between the two fans was too short for me to even mod them on either. My error for even thinking these would work.

4 out of 5 eggsGood but delicate!

Pros: Great add on to the Accelero S1 cooler. dropped the temp 8C permanently under heavy load (from 40C to 32C)

Cons: The power wire is a little short, mounting proved to be interesting with tiny little plastic clips. But this is gonna lose an egg due to it being very very VERY delicate. don't let anything touch the blades or the attaching clips - in fact don't even look at them or they will break.

Other Thoughts: Provided you are extremely careful attaching them, they are a great addon.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs quiet and keep my board cool...can't ask for more than that

Cons: Kind of weird and difficult to put on certain boards, but it fits after you play with it for a while

3 out of 5 eggsGood, But Better Options Exist

Pros: These do make a difference and work as advertised. But they are very tough to align properly. If you can't gt it on, it's probably because the clips are hitting the memory heat sinks.

Cons: I used these and they dropped my temps by about 5C. But, a simple slot fan dropped it by double that, with or without the fans. The problem with the Accelero is that most video cards have their CPUs facing away from the power supply and exhaust fans. Heat wants to rise, so you get trapped air and soon to be dead video card. A slot fan solves all of this and costs half as much.

Other Thoughts: Buy a slot fan. One with an 80 or 90mm fan in it will work better and be just about as quiet if you slightly under-volt it. Just be SURE to leave a free slot between the Accelero and the slot fan for air. So the video card, Accelero, and the slot fan will take up *FOUR*(4) slots total. Still, passive cooling and high-end games is possible. Just not really with this item is all.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: None

Cons: Doesn't work. Fans only spin if you manually spin them with your hand first.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your time or money on these.

2 out of 5 eggsCouldn't get them to work for me

Pros: Inexpensive, other people say they work well, supposedly designed to fit the accelero cooler

Cons: I could never get them to clip onto the fins like the instructions show, and finally ended up breaking the leads.

Other Thoughts: I decided to just trap 120mm fans to the S1 with zipties instead - it works better, cost less, and looks terrible.

3 out of 5 eggsHorrible Shipping

Pros: Lightweight fans that clip right onto the Accelero cooler to enhance cooling performance. Works fairly well and is silent in operation. I hook it up to my Sunbeam fan controller for maximum control. The Accelero heatsink works so well that these fans are really not necessary for some video cards.

Cons: Cheaply made. If you are ordering this make sure you buy it with other items so they will have to ship it in a real box (see Other Thoughts below).

Other Thoughts: Newegg shipped this item to me in a small padded envelope. It was smashed in transit to me so I was left with a non functional item. I owned this item before and was impressed with the performance though. But his time the RMA process and return shipping cost that I would have to eat made it not worth the hassle. I salvaged one of the fans and just used that.

Come one Newegg, a padded envelope?

5 out of 5 eggsKeeps my 8800gs cool

Pros: These fans and the S1 cooler work great on my 8800gs.Now with this S1 heatsink & turbo fan combo it idles at 40c-42c, overclocks to 675/1601/2000, and doesn't go above 50c usually around 46c in TF2.

The fans dropped my temps another 2c as compared to just the S1 w/out fans.

Fans do seem very delicate so i think you have to be careful when handling them

Cons: NONE

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Cooling, Totally Quiet

Pros: Totally Silent

Cons: Takes up a bit of room, Someone time consuming to install

Other Thoughts: Very nice cooler for a pretty reasonable price. I have a mid tower case (Lian-Li A-05B), so it's pretty cramped but even with no extra fans installed, two of these keep my dual 250GTS cool. I'm not overclocking yet, I want to clean up the airflow, but I'm quite impressed so far.

1 out of 5 eggsPoorly Manufactured

Pros: The concept behind the unit should drastically affect operating temperatures positively.

Cons: Unfortunately I never got to find out. Out of the box one of the fans was frozen, no rotation, no blockage just plain frozen.

Aside from this issue I found the unit to be very fragile, if you are planning to buy it make sure you are very careful with it.

Other Thoughts: It still is possible that I might have had bad luck and of course I am going to RMA it for an exchange, even still this was a manufacturing defect that should never have happened.
