5 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: -PWN daisy chain
-Good price
-not too loud
-good cooling

Cons: no cons

Other Thoughts: Have this connected with the stock cpu cooler on the AMD Regor 240, and everything works great.

Will buy another one with my next NEWEGG order.

5 out of 5 eggsGood fan.

Pros: Moves a decent amount of air and is quiet. Far better than the original fan. My system was overheating on hot days before I installed this fan.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsNice Fan.

Pros: Its a nice quiet fan with food air flow.

Cons: If you need a box fan, dont buy this. This fan has no box frame and may not fit every application, especially if you want to reverse airflow.

3 out of 5 eggsWeird.

Pros: When it worked, it blew in a lot of air and was decently silent.

Cons: After a few boots, the fan just stopped working after the initial boot. The fan started spinning whenever it felt like it, or not spin at all!

Other Thoughts: Newegg had awesome customer support and handled my problem very well. will shop @ the egg again!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to install. Runs quit and does the job very well.

Cons: Can't think of any.

Other Thoughts: X2 6000 3.1 GHz is running at 36*c in a small Apevia HTPC case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC Fan

Pros: Quiet.
PWM Daisy Chain.
Price+Free Shipping.
Moves more than enough air for my SFF case (apevia x-qpack).

Cons: I can't get an RPM reading below 600, which doesn't really matter since I don't run the fan below 700-750.

Other Thoughts: This fan works great on my 3pin motherboard. I have the fan running between 75-100 percent through speedfan. It's dead quiet at lower speeds, but even at 100% you can't hear much more than the air being pushed out of the case.

This is a HUGE improvement over my stock case fan. My cpu fan is now the loudest thing in my case. I never thought I would be excited to say this, but I can hear my hard drives again!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat PWM solution, but not reversible

Pros: PWM control, funky cage design with built-in vibration dampeners (no need for separate anti-vibration mounting kits), contoured fan blade design, sleeved cable, quiet and efficient.

Cons: Daisy chain, or "PWM sharing" wiring. Arctic Cooling PWM fans are intended primarily for people who have only one PWM output on the motherboard and are made to daisy chain to each other. Most single-processor consumer grade motherboards have just one, intended for controlling the CPU fan. However, I am running an ASUS Z7S, which has a total of 8 PWM connectors: 2 CPU, 1 PSU, 1 RAM, 4 chassis. Removing the extra wiring was a very tedious process. Had to remove the pins from the PWM connector and clip the extra wires before putting them back in. No big deal here, except the yellow wire, which monitors fan speed, is not wired to the PWM connector, but rather to the daisy chain connector only. So I had to pull the yellow wire from the unused connector and insert it into the PWM connector in order to allow my MB to monitor the speed of my fans. If you ARE daisy chaining, of course you don't want multiple fans reporting their speed over the same wire. This is why they are the way they are.

Other Thoughts: I really like the anti-vibration design of these fans. Basically the fan is suspended by four rubber mounts to the part that you actually screw to the case. This eliminates the need for special mounting screws or dampening pads. With the design of this fan, all moving parts are isolated from the chassis, so anything else would be redundant and totally unnecessary. Screw it to the case and you are done.

This fan is non-reversible. It is for exhaust only. Not a con as long as you know what you are getting beforehand. If you need an intake fan, buy the AF12025 PWM instead.

However, if you are installing it in a Cooler Master Cosmos as I did, you can indeed use it as an intake, using the supplied plastic fan mounting brackets that came with the case. I have five in my Cosmos. 2 intake, 3 exhaust. They fit the brackets just fine.

I took off only one egg for the daisy-chain wiring, however I suppose for most people this will be a non-issue.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quiet and only used when needed. Variable speed.

Cons: Fan only mounts to back of case, due to need for hook up to CPU fan control. Cannot flip fan for different direction air flow.

Other Thoughts: Fan hooks to CPU fan controller. Makes you able to control the fan speed through the BOIS.
