The ARCTIC F PWM forwards the PWM signal from the CPU to the whole case ventilation system. The entire system is cooled quietly, but still offers the superb performance when needed.

  • newegg Versatile Applicable With the standard 25mm frame, the ARCTIC F PWM can be applied as intake or outtake system fan.
  • newegg Silent Operation Thanks to fluid dynamic bearing and the fan holder design, the ARCTIC F PWM is not only quiet, but also highly durable.
  • newegg Quick and Easy Setup Via the PWM signal, the CPU fan is controlled by the mainboard to reach the ideal temperature for the CPU. The PST (PWM Sharing Technology) is forwarding the PWM signal to all other fans inside the system. This way, all fans are spinning at the same speed. This provides silent operation in idle mode, but also gives sufficient performance, when required to offer efficient cooling.

5 out of 5 eggsquiet, as advertised, nice looking

Pros: quiet, as advertised, nice looking, high volume for speed, PWM

Cons: Maybe not effective if there is high pressure, but that is a guess.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Fan

Pros: I got this to replace my CM fan on my CM Hyper 212 Plus. The original fans are nice except for when it ramps up. This fan is pretty quiet at full speed 12v...

Cons: ...except when you let the PWM function work. For some reason, if it is enabled, the fan makes a weird whine sound. It is quieter and less annoying at full speed.

Other Thoughts: Not sure what to think about the whine when not at full speed. I tried it on a couple other motherboards and it did the same thing. If you can get to used to the low hum it makes at full speed, you should be good to go.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet Little Fans

Pros: I got these as replacements for my radiator and they are a bit quieter than my previous Cooler Master set. The PWM daisy connection was a plus.

Cons: When my fans arrived one of the fans had a corner broken off in the package. I was able to use it in the center of my triple rad but any other location and this would be a non functioning unit as it would not be a secure mount.

I have a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H m/b and the PWM fans show 0 rpm's in the bios while daisy chained to the CPU header, I guess they are just running at full speed but makes this feature pointless for my applications.

Other Thoughts: We'll see how long these last as pull fans at the top of my case. Past fans that I have tried only lasted about 1 year before they start to seize up and need to be replaced

4 out of 5 eggsLet the buyer beware.

Pros: Good fan design. Quiet at lower levels while still moving a decent amount of air.

Cons: Not what's pictured. Specs aren't the same. (Rev.2). No daisy chain connection. Uses 0.10A more than the version pictured.
I don't know if it was NewEgg or Arctic Cooling but an Avery sticker was covering up the original barcode and they have two different numbers and descriptions.
Under the label is:
"F12 PMW Rev.2 Case Fan P/N AFACO-120P2-GBA01, 872767006720" which is what I received.
The Avery Label covering it is:
"ARCTIC F12 PMW AFACO-120P0-GBA01, 872767002654" which is NOT correct.
I believe this is NewEgg's handy work, but I could be wrong

Other Thoughts: It's still good fan but NOT what is in the picture. Took one egg off for the deception. (don't know who's at fault for this but needs to be fixed!!!!)

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Quality Fan

Pros: Plastic seems sturdy enough and of decent quality. Flow a good amount of air especially in low speeds.

Cons: Power cord is a little on the short side. I think it should be about 2 inch longer given the size of some of the cases out there. Also, a wire wrap would look nice, but not enough to take off an egg.

5 out of 5 eggsMove A LOT of Air

Pros: Does exactly what it says. The cable is about 11-12 inches long so I was able to route the cable through the back of the case and back in to connect to the mobo (for the 3-pin that I got).

Cons: It is fairly silent. I believe their noise levels they stated if it had no case or obstructions. In reality, they are pretty noise due to the shear amount of air they move. I got them turned down to 1100RPMs and they are more manageable now.

Remember that it is not fan motor noise, just the air it moves. 77CFM is a ton of air, and that's why I wanted them.

The cable is not sleeved black so you get to see the colored wires. Not a huge deal to me though.

The mounting screws are bare metal and not black.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend a fan controller if you get the 3-pin version of this fan. Unless you have a mobo that can turn it down in the bios.

4 out of 5 eggsGood deal

Pros: - Price versus other PWM fans
- Moves a good deal of air when push against a radiator
- Comes with daisy chain connectors.. Y cables not needed!

Cons: - Does not move the advertised 74cfm
- Bought 3 fans, 1 dies after a year of use

Other Thoughts: Given the pros and cons, I would might buy these again, but I would like to compare them to higher priced fans first.

5 out of 5 eggsInexpensive, effective, and durable fans

Pros: Solid build quality
PWM
Can daisy-chain them
Outstanding warranty
Good airflow throughout the speed range
Quiet

Cons: None. Just BUY them NOW - you know you want to.

Other Thoughts: Arctic Cooling PWM+PST fans are my go-to choice when I need to order case or CPU cooler fans. Whenever I get a new case or CPU cooler, the factory included junk fans come out and these go in.

I've been using them in their various sizes (80mm, 92mm, 120mm, and now 140mm) since they've been on the market, and I have never had one fail...ever.

I have used them as intake, exhaust, CPU cooling, and even modded a GPU to use a 120mm model for cooling and they have always exceeded my expectations.

The only thing that could make these fans better is if AC put some red LEDs in the housing.
