The ARCTIC F PWM forwards the PWM signal from the CPU to the whole case ventilation system. The entire system is cooled quietly, but still offers the superb performance when needed.

  • newegg Versatile Applicable With the standard 25mm frame, the ARCTIC F PWM can be applied as intake or outtake system fan.
  • newegg Silent Operation Thanks to fluid dynamic bearing and the fan holder design, the ARCTIC F PWM is not only quiet, but also highly durable.
  • newegg Quick and Easy Setup Via the PWM signal, the CPU fan is controlled by the mainboard to reach the ideal temperature for the CPU. The PST (PWM Sharing Technology) is forwarding the PWM signal to all other fans inside the system. This way, all fans are spinning at the same speed. This provides silent operation in idle mode, but also gives sufficient performance, when required to offer efficient cooling.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Works great.
Easy install.

Cons: None at the time.

Other Thoughts: What more can be said... it's a case fan. : )

5 out of 5 eggsGood, with some bumps

Pros: Good price
Good performance
Fairly quiet
Can be "chained" with other fans.

Cons: Flimsy, small gauge wires.
No listed Static Pressure - still do not know the precise amount it delivers.
Quality control? (See other thoughts.)

Other Thoughts: There's a touch of a story to go along with this. I recently replaced my CPU Heatsink and Fan, and noticed I wasn't quite getting the performance I was expecting. A quick inspection revealed that my original case fans for my chassis were going bad.

My new CPU cooler is Arctic Cooling brand, and after doing a touch of research, I decided to go with Arctic Cooling fans. Why not? They have good air flow, the price bracket is good, with quiet running to boot.

The first fan that came worked for roughly a half-hour before mysteriously dying. I RMA'ed it, and had to pay for shipping (which was roughly 10 bucks, almost as much as the fan is worth.) The second fan works fine, thus far, and now I am glad to finally have a cool, quiet system. The product does what I expected it to do, move air and be quiet while doing it, and it does it fairly well, so that's why I gave it the five-star rating.

I would like to see the Static Pressure listed for these fans. I tried to find it in reviews online, or tests that someone might have done, but I could not find it for the life of me. Reviews say it has great static pressure, but that's it, no numbers - I would like to see the numbers. I realize that for a case fan, you mostly worry about the volume of air, but my CPU cooler uses this exact same type of fan to push air through the heatsink, so it would be interesting to know if it's optimum for that or not.

The instance of the RMA is unfortunate, but that is the nature of the beast of ordering things online. In the past, I had to RMA my ASUS brand motherboard, so even with quality items it's still a risk. Even though I had to shell out more money, and essentially paid double for a single fan, I still paid (roughly 33%) less than if I had paid the absolute premium for what is considered a top-tier quality fan. That is why I'm still giving the item five stars.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fan

Pros: Good airflow, decent price, quiet

Cons: without proper setup on my Asus board, the lowest PWM setting would not spin the fan, but that is very easy to fix! :D

Other Thoughts: i have owned over 5 of these, all for my liquid cooling and case vents

4 out of 5 eggsHandy

Pros: Inaudible unless running at 100% speed. Decent airflow. Shares a fan header on the motherboard with my CPU fan, and both of them speed up/slow down in tandem.

Cons: Flimsy cable.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quiet, PWM Sharing, Good strong airflow

Cons: Short flimsy cable

Other Thoughts: These fans themselves flow a good amount of air while being quiet. I know the "Sone" thing seems to throw off how quiet these are at full blast of 1350-1400 rpm or so. They are quieter than my corsair af120 performance edition fans. Those are rated at 30db so I would say these are at about 25-28db at full blast.

They push a good amount of air as well. They push almost as much as my corsair AF120's. One thing these fans have is pressure. I put some fan filters on my coolermaster sycleflows and just adding a filter to those dropped the rpm by 200 or so. Same filter on these and they kept pulling at 1350-1400 rpm with no noticeable drop in flow.

The only downfall is the cables, they're too short. The pwm sharing works and works well. It also keeps you from having to buy an extra pwm fan splitter.

I have installed these vertically as intake and exhaust fans. and work well. I have installed these as top exhaust fans and at low rpm they are fine (600 rpm), but at full blast I noticed a slight vibration that is only noticeable if you touch them. No sound difference and hopefully it wont hurt longevity. As top intake there is no vibration at high rpm and are smooth like butter.

This is a good all around case fan. Would definately recomend.

5 out of 5 eggsArctic F12 PWM case fan.

Pros: Neweggs service, price and delivery.
Works well for a budget fan, not fast but pushes a good amount of air.
Quiet running.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Bought a pair of these for a Intel DX38BT system. Run them front and rear both connected to a pair of 4 pin mother board headers. Flow is good and quiet. Temps dropped a few degrees. PWM works and keeps the noise down.

5 out of 5 eggsPWM That Works With Software

Pros: GA-F2A75M-D3H board Trinity APU and this fan is quiet set with EasyTune to 800 RPM. I replaced a quiet 3 pin 800 RPM that insisted on running at 975 RPM. Without EasyTune it runs around 900 RPM regardless of BIOS setting at normal or silent with room at 75 degrees. At 900 I can start to hear it. 800 is keeping the system cool enough. No graphics card. Just a vertical Heatsink with 92mm fan. SSD drives.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have had good luck with Arctic fans being quiet if they were advertised as such.

3 out of 5 eggsNot to great or bad

Pros: 1. Share PWM
2. Alright speed

Cons: 1. Not fast enough
2. Others better just use a splitter
3. Semi-loud

Other Thoughts: It's alright, and the PWm thing does work. But I just bought some GELID PWM splitters online and get the same result + can use any fan I want! Ironic since they make them. But yea I wouldn't buy these again, I stick to magnetic bearing fans by Enermax, why bother with fluid bearing? Just get a Enermax Magma (not PWM but who cares get a variable switch online)...... anyway I gave these away to someone, now using my preferred ones

3 out of 5 eggsUnsure

Pros: 1. PWM
2. Big

Cons: 1. Didn't work

Other Thoughts: It's probably my motherboard which is a BIOSTAR TA75A+ but whenever I tried these or the 92mm versions it constantly said "Failed to control CPU fan" over an over again for no reason that I can tell. Either these have some weird issue or the mobo I have is just stupid, either way it's annoying and I've bought some SilentX 72 cfm/15db 1400 rpm fans instead :/
