5 out of 5 eggsLife saver

Pros: Brought my temps and noise level down down down. No more blue screen.

Cons: Big

Other Thoughts: Careful to use a good eraser and clean really good or you won't get a good first stick. My stock cooler was so loud and temps were getting worse on my GTX 275. This saved me from having to get a new video card because for now it is just enough.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Quiet Cooler

Pros: This is an excellent GPU cooler. It is very quiet, which is what I cared about the most. I put this on a 260 that didn't really need the extra cooling, but the stock fan was going bad and getting very loud.

Cons: There are two cons to this cooler in my eyes. First, the adhesive pads on the mem/vrm sinks are not very good. I cleaned those surfaces (on the card) with an acetone cleaner and then %99 Isopropyl. They were clean and didn't stick, which I was expecting. After trying that, I removed the thermal pads and reapplied the provided memory sinks with a ceramique thermal epoxy. This worked brilliantly and is highly recommended.

The next con is that the VRM cooling isn't quite robust enough for higher end cards. Since I had a 260, this was not a problem. Folks with the 280 should investigate using the VRM sink from the stock cooler.

Other Thoughts: I'm very happy with this product. Because I did my research, I knew exactly what to expect and was prepared for the somewhat tedious install. But lets be honest, this is an enthusiast cooler and working with GPU cooling usually isn't quick and easy.

I took one egg off my rating because I had to purchase the additional epoxy to get the sinks to stick. A five egg product should have everything required in the box.

Also, I used MX-4 on the core, but I'm sure the stock TIM that comes with is just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsARCTIC COOLING Accelero XTREME

Pros: WORKS!
Dropped my EVGA GTX 275
idle - 51°C to 38°C
load - 76°C to 52°C

Almost silent at 100% fan speed
But normally isnt any higher then 40-50%

Cons: COST... almost could buy a cheap Card for this Price.
the sticky pads could be better on the little heat sinks.
uses 2.5 PCI slots, so yeah 3...
A little longer then the card was, i have space but others might not.

Other Thoughts: Used AC MX-4 thermal paste
Make sure the Ram and anything u tape the little heat sinks to are super clean.
Use EVGA precision or MSI Afterburner for fan speed and Over clocking.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler

Pros: Cools card well below stock heat sink, almost completely silent until over 80% speed and even then very quiet. Running ~50c under full load @80% fan set 24c room temp.

Cons: big? makes the card take three slots.

4 out of 5 eggsAn excellent replacement for stock cooling

Pros: Very quiet cooler compared to stock - cut the sound level from my case down significantly. At stock clocks, my card (EVGA GTX 265) would idle at around 50C and would jump to 75-78C under load from Folding@Home. After installing this cooler, the temps dropped to 35C idle and 49C under load. Installation was fairly straightforward compared to other GPU coolers I have installed, though some improvisation may be needed if your card layout differs from the installation instructions.

Cons: The heatsink and the heat pipes stick out from the right edge of the card about an inch or so, making these already long cards even longer. I have a full ATX case, and with the stock cooler it was already a tight fit. With this cooler installed, at least one hard drive bay is now unusable as the cooler intrudes into it.

Other Thoughts: A great replacement for stock coolers if you have the room in your case for it - definitely check beforehand to make sure you have at least 1-2 inches of clearance to the right of the card or the cooler will not fit.

I also had to improvise a bit during install, as my card has more voltage regulators than the install graphic so I did not have enough VR heatsinks to go around. However this is hardly the fault of Arctic Cooling as they can't possibly account for every permutation of chip placement, just something else that should be considered.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very quiet, good looking, effective.

Cons: Hard to remove glue on memory sinks if you want to change it to some other adhesive.

Other Thoughts: Installed it on my GTX 275 and load temps never exceed 65 Celsius!!! Changed thermal paste on GPU and thermal adhesive, because the stock ones are not good. Fans are quiet and effective.
