ARCTIC COOLING Accelero XTREME Plus Fluid Dynamic VGA Cooler for nVIDIA and ATI

Pros: Extremely quiet. You can barely hear the fans when they are running at 100%!! My stock cooler on the gtx 470 was getting close to 85C on full load with 100% fan. This cooler... 54 max and that is not even with the fans on 100%!! Highly recommend this cooler

Cons: I had to order additional parts which I was unaware when I began to install it. It was like 12 bucks. If you own a gtx 285, 280, 275, 260+, 260 you need VR002 (part number for additional heatsinks and brackets) and If you own a gtx 470 or 465, you need VR003 (part number for additional heatsinks and brackets) That is the only con, was not a big deal but it would have been nice to know before I ordered it.

Other Thoughts: Don't rush the installation, the glue compound says it takes 5 hours to cure, I let it cure for about 20 hours. Also this thing is huge so make sure you have enough room. It hangs about 2 inches further out from my card!!

Pros: This thing is am AMAZING heat sink BUT...

Cons: It physically bends the PCB on most graphics cards and killed 3 GTX 560 Ti that I had by bending the PCBs. You look at the PCIe connector and it is actually bent. Yes BENT as in slightly U shaped.... A cooler should never do that even when tighted down to the max....

Pros: When I received an unlocked 6950, I was dismayed by the noise and mediocre performance of the reference cooler. Picked one of these up along with some copper MOSFET heatsinks, and it absolutely rocks. Temperatures peak while gaming in the mid-50's C, and the fans are barely audible at 100%. Other than watercooling, you can't really beat the performance of this product.

Cons: A little difficult to mount if you haven't had experience working with aftermarket GPU coolers, but it's certainly easier to work with than some of them that I've used in the past.

Pros: This cooler is about performance. I put this on a e_V_G_A 460 SC EE that had temps of 34C idle/ 74 load. I was stunned after I installed 26C idle/ 45C load this this allowed me to boost my clocks to F T W settings while maintain these super low temps. This is the next best thing to water-cooling you gpu.

Cons: This thing is huge but when you need the heat transfer rate for surface area there is really no way around it's size.

Other Thoughts: buy one soon

Pros: effective cooling, quiet, dropped my idle temp by about 12c from 48-50c down to 36-37c and I max out at 54c while only at 50% fan speed and never hear it running

Cons: HUGE!!!! and you have to get the heatsinks separate.

Other Thoughts: People might get lower temp then I do but that is due to my case does not have a window fan. I gave it 5 stars because when I contacted arctic cool about the heatsinks they offered to send them to me at no cost. Just an FYI they sell a xtreme plus II version that comes with all the heatsinks for like $10 more but newegg does not sell it???

Pros: AMAZING. This thing works great, I have the GTX version. It keeps the temps very low AND at the same time it's infinitely quieter than stock cooling. This is probably the next best thing to water cooling.

Cons: Thing is MASSIVE, triple slot and longer too. Had to remove my drive cage from HAF 912 to make it fit. Also as all the fans blow down to the bottom of the case, having proper ventilation for this can be tricky.

Other Thoughts: If you're video card already barely fits, then you either need to remove your drive cage or mod your case because otherwise it won't fit.

Pros: my Gpu Temps drops 41 Degrees. from 91c to 50 under heavy load

Cons: huge!, had to mod my case to fit, but np for me...

Pros: I installed two of these on my GTX 570 SLI setup and they lowered my idle temps about 4 degrees...LOAD temps went down almost 20 degrees! Just be patient when putting these on your graphics card (s).

Cons: "Compatibility" is dependent on the separate heatsink kit you MUST buy to install these correctly. Get the wrong kit for your card model and all you have is a doorstop.

Other Thoughts: I read about someone who, thinking he had a better idea, decided not to use the thermal GLUE that came with the kit and used thermal PASTE instead. Imagine his surprise when the heat sinks fell off when he powered up the cards. Please....don't be dumb. Either use the glue that comes with the kit or get yourself some Arctic Silver Thermal Epoxy. Use sparingly. No need to gob it on. You'll be glad you took the time to do it right. These babies are awesome!

Pros: Another Awesome cooler from Arctic Cooling. I run this on my MSI6950 Reference card and with it flashed with 6970 bios and overclocked it runs at 43C under full load.

Cons: Only complaint is you have to buy the memory cooling chips separate. There are 5 different sets so make sure you get the right set for your card. If the cooler came with even some chip coolers i might have given it 5 eggs but with none requiring a separate order it must get 4. Again i am down rating the card because you have to get the memory chip coolers separate, the performance of the cooler itself is a solid 5 eggs.

Other Thoughts: I purchased my cooler and memory cooler chips from a site named for a certain south american jungle which Newegg won't let me post (Really? Seriously?) because Newegg didn't sell both and I didn't care to track two orders. Had those been available at Newegg i would have bought from my old reliable friend Newegg.

Pros: very cool and quiet

Cons: have to buy accessory kit for some GPUs, which is utterly ridiculous

Other Thoughts: having to buy a cooler and then having to buy accessories is annoying and they should just be included
