The Accelero TWIN TURBO II is a dual-fan VGA cooler with enhanced multi-compatibility for present and future models. Designed to optimize performance and the overclocking capability of your system, the Accelero TWIN TURBO II is your ultimate cooler for mid-range to high-end graphic cards.

  • newegg Excellent Cooling Performance Featuring two 92mm PWM fans with a maximum cooling capacity up to 250 Watts, the Accelero TWIN TURBO II manages to transfer heat efficiently away from the GPU. Besides the 35-fin heatsink with 5 copper heatpipes, the pre-applied MX-4 thermal compound accelerates the heat dissipation process to ensure the VGA board is running under optimal temperature.
  • newegg Enhanced RAM and VR Cooling In order to boost the cooling efficiency of RAM and VR, the Accelero TWIN TURBO II comes with the G-1, an electrically non-conductive thermal glue used to affix RAM and VR heatsinks on the VGA board. Unlike generic thermal tapes, the G-1 offers high thermal conductivity with excellent adhesiveness. Moreover, removing the G-1 is extremely easy without leaving any residues.
  • newegg Virtually Silent Thanks to the low noise impeller and exclusive fan holder, the Accelero TWIN TURBO II runs at the minimum noise level of 0.3 sone, even at full load. Equipped with a PWM controller, the fan always runs at the optimal speed according to the load generated by the GPU.
  • newegg Multi-Compatible* The Accelero TWIN TURBO II comes with a versatile mounting mechanism and an extensive RAM and VR cooling set to accommodate a broad range of models. Featuring the CrossFire and SLI compatibility the users benefit from the optimized performance of a multi-VGA setup. (*The compatibility list is based on AMD Radeon and NVIDIA's reference board layout only.)

5 out of 5 eggsSwiss Engineering

Pros: -Outstanding cooling performance
It lowered my GPU temperatures by an average of 11 deg C over seven graphics intensive programs (two benchmarks, five games)

-Quiet

- Increased my overclocking headroom

Cons: - As others have noted the instructions can seem a bit lacking. Especially when it comes to heat sink placement. A link to pictures of different base line PCBs with proper heat sink attachment would be great for us novice users.

-Large size may be a liability for those with small form factor cases

Other Thoughts: Installed on an MSI GTX 760, replacing their "Twin Frozr" cooler

It's so efficient that it caused a minor increase in my CPU temperatures, as my case exhausts through the radiator.

5 out of 5 eggscool and whisper quiet

Pros: lower temps
quiet
full speed is still quiet

Cons: For some, they might need better instructions. Bulky, takes up two lanes.

1 out of 5 eggsMissing parts

Pros: none

Cons: Missing parts, its just a useless table weight to cut your fingers on without mounting brackets to mount it on the gpu and also no spacers for those mounts.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice, just as advertised, the description that is.

Cons: Only problem is it doesn't fit. It says it's for my card, Sapphire HD 7850 but it's about a quarter inch longer than the card on the end that attaches to the case so the card won't go in the slot.

Maybe I could cut a big hole in the case and just let it stick out there :).

Oh well, live and learn.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Quality, Cheap and Wonderful

Pros: -Easy installation.
-Very quiet.
-Cheap and affordable.
-2 fans and thick heatsinks.

Cons: -May sag a bit for some chassis's.

Other Thoughts: The temperatures at which the PC idled and load was at...
-stock fan when not spinning (broken); 50c idle, 91c load.
-stock fan when was working: 37c idle, 85c load.
-Arctic Turbo: 35c idle, 48c load.

The Arctic would have a bigger difference on idle if my chassis didn't have poor airflow.

I've always seen other people say that the installation of this product is very hard and complicated but if you follow the images and replicate how they do and work with common sense on placement then you're installing of the heatsinks should be fine and perfect. Actually putting the fan on the card between the GPU is the hardest part and what I spent the most time looking at and comprehending but once I found out that I was overlooking an image, I immediately figured it out.

(Since the installation is hard for some people; then I would NOT recommend getting a GPU stock fan and installing it yourself if you believe you don't have the knowledge or capabilities of doing so; if you do this wrong you'll lose a 400-1000 dollar [how much ever you spent on your GPU], so make sure what you're doing or have someone you know do it for you if they know a lot about GPU's.

5 out of 5 eggsObtuse documentation, but worth it

Pros: Hecka worth it. Had an XFX Radeon HD 6870 and the fan began to go bad (idled around 60c, would go over 100c if I looked at it funny). Installed this, now I haven't been able to get it over 70c no matter how hard I try. Better than the stock fan ever was. It's nice and quiet, too.

Cons: As many have said, the documentation is VERY hard to follow - some of that is because it has to fit a lot of different cards, but I would have appreciated a little more direction as I've never done anything like this before.

Also, it's a bit heavy - way heavier than the stock fan. It visibly puts more physical stress on the card. I'm not terribly worried about it for the moment, just not sure how it will pan out in the long run.

Finally, the card I have only has two pins on its fan header, so I had to plug it directly into the power supply - so no RPM control. Not something I minded but if you want RPM control, make note of what the fan header looks like on your card.

Other Thoughts: None of the cons really can bring me to subtract an egg - I am extremely pleased with the results. Just stuff to pay attention to.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Cooler

Pros: Dropped the full load temp of my XFX 7870 by 20C. This is my first time buying an aftermarket cooler for a video card. It was easy to install and the performance is great!

Cons: I have to agree with other reviewers in thinking it could use a back plate. It does bend my card slightly.

With huge performance comes huge size. I have no desire to get another card for SLI so taking up the extra slots doesn't bother me.

Other Thoughts: I would (and did!) go for this model over the new sealed water cooling system which Newegg labels as the "Newer Version of this Item." Too many bad reviews of leaking. Build your own water system (if you have the know how) or stick with air.

3 out of 5 eggsNoise with Warranty or Quite with Money

Pros: It is a lot more quiter and cooler than those fancy looking stock fans which are only for show.

Cons: One has to put on ram heatsinks to avoid hangs if using this cooling solution.

However, those ram heatsinks are not easy to remove and voids warranty.

So it really depends on how much money one has.

Other Thoughts: ARCTIC seems to be the only aftermarket vga cooling brand now. They charge a high price and make you dump the old thing every generation of video cards.

I bought their 3-fan vga cooling solution when it first came out since they promised to give out new sockets for every new generation of video card. I was disappointed by the fact that the customer services just tell you they won't give you new sockets and you have to buy the new version.

Add $100 per video card upgrade or sustain the noise? I don't know what to choose.
