The Accelero L2 Plus is a cross compatible VGA cooler designed for low end to mid-range graphic cards, same as his predecessor L2 Pro but with a wider compatibility and enhanced RAM and VR cooling. A comprehensive RAM/VR cooling set is also included to improve the cooling performance of RAM/VR.

  • newegg Cooling Performance Featuring a 92 mm PWM fan and a cooling capacity of 120 Watts, the Accelero L2 Plus ensures components are performing under ideal temperature. The pre-applied MX-4 thermal compound allows enhanced thermal conductivity from the GPU, thus considerably extending its service life.
  • newegg Enhanced RAM and VR Cooling In order to boost the cooling efficiency of RAM and VR, the Accelero L2 Plus comes with the G-1, an electrically non-conductive thermal glue used to affix RAM and VR heatsinks on the VGA board. Unlike generic thermal tapes, the G-1 offers high thermal conductivity with excellent adhesiveness. Moreover, removing the G-1 is extremely easy without leaving any residues.
  • newegg Virtually Silent Operated by a low noise impeller enclosed in a unique fan holder to reduce the buzzing sound when the fan is spinning, the Accelero L2 Plus is barely audible even running at full load. To enable minimum noise level at all circumstances, the PWM controller enables the fan to run at the optimal speed according to the load generated by the GPU.
  • newegg Multi-Compatible* To accommodate a broad range of models, the Accelero L2 Plus comes with a versatile mounting mechanism and an extensive RAM and VR cooling set consisting of 16 pieces of RAM/VR heatsinks in various sizes. Featuring the CrossFireX and SLI compatibility the users benefit from the optimized performance of a multi-VGA setup. (*The compatibility list is based on AMD Radeon and NVIDIA's reference board layout only.)

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Solid Build Quality on the heat-sink itself. Mounted just fine on my Radeon HD 5770. Inexpensive.

Cons: Fan was DOA. The item itself looks pretty boring. Too big for SLI/crossfire on some boards.

Other Thoughts: Newegg gave me an RMA with no hassle.

1 out of 5 eggsMine is terrible

Pros: Nice looking, not as space taking as I thought it would be. Very quiet!

Cons: It's not doing it's job of keeping my GTS 450 cool. The card is running hotter. My fist attempt at aftermarket vga cooling so I must have traded down. I was running GTA 4 for 10 minutes and the back side of my card was scary hot.

5 out of 5 eggsRe-Review

Pros: -Price for performance is good for a quick replacement.

-Pretty quiet even when on MAX* (see other thoughts)

Cons: -Size of the heat sink knocks off 1 PCIe on my ASRock 970 Extreme 3

-Only 2 power connector types, should have 3* (see other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: This was basically the first, and foremost only choice I saw that fit the budget and performance bill. I used it to replace the not so well designed original HIS 6850 Specific Model: (H685FN1GD) after the fan gave out a second time after RMA, seriously what were they on when they put such a low-grade fan?

* I was also a bit disconcerted with the fact that this replacement didn't have a third power connector for my specific card, so using the adapter for a regular molex didn't seem too promising for using the full power of the fan. So I removed the old plug head of the defunct original fan carefully (no need for stripping the wires), and also one of the plug heads from the Arctic Cooler, and easily integrated it without a hitch, now with that modification I was able to adjust the speeds from the Catalyst control center or leave it as is on automatic. It has worked fantastically until now with no problems and great temps, and makes cleaning of dust and lint build up even easier than the stock cooler. I didn't even use the supplemental VRAM heat-sinks for sake of, if I need to RMA the card it wont interfere with me adding the original Heat-sink again. Still it performs great and the card does not over heat.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent replacement for original fan

Pros: Works great at keeping graphics card cool and much quieter than the stock fan. Instructions were fairly easy to follow. Power cable for the fan plugged directly into the power connection on the video card.

For the price and effectiveness, this fan is great. If this fan is compatible with your video card, I think you would have a hard time finding another replacement cooling fan that's less expensive and works just as well.

I highly recommend it.

Cons: Mosfet heatsinks are a little big. Thermal adhesive (glue) takes an hour to cure/dry.

It took me a few tries to get the mosfet heatsinks installed because of the small surface area of the mosfets on my card and the size of the supplied heatsinks. After the adhesive dried, the heatsinks seem to be secure, but I still was very careful not to bump or touch them as I didn't want to risk knocking them off and having to wait another hour after reapplying more thermal adhesive.

Instructions are a little vague on where to place the insulation tape. To be on the safe side, I basically surrounded the mosfets on the card to ensure that the heatsinks weren't going to come in contact with any circuits.

As others have noted, the fan is large so make sure you have space (at a minimum it'll require the next slot to be open... possibly more depending on your video card).

Other Thoughts: I purchased this fan to replace the stock fan on my X1950 PRO AGP video card. The temps on the card were getting very high with no load (100+ degrees F). After installing this fan, the temps have consistently stayed around 40C even after leaving the PC on 24/7.

Ideally, I would have used a replacement heatsink designed for my video card, but I could not find any.

BTW, I cannot stress enough about verifying the compatibility with your video card on Arctic Cooling's website. Some of the negative reviews on here are from people who installed it on an incompatible video card.

My kit was complete and everything worked properly.

4 out of 5 eggs good replacment

Pros: Bought this to replace my stock heatsink/fan for my his 6750. The fan has 2 different voltage settings 7 and 12. As some people have stated this cooler does use 3 slots when attached, not a big deal for me since my case can handle it. The ram heatsinks work well but with my card I couldn't cover all my ram. It does keep my temps low about 15-20c idle and about 35-40 load.

Cons: The instructions sucked, the thermal glue that it came with was already dried and stank for the little that didn't harden. Didn't need the regulator heatsinks but they seem like they should dissipate the heat well.

Other Thoughts: If the instructions were better and the thermal glue were better I would've given it a perfect. I did find out that I didn't need to replace the whole assembly but could've bought the replacement an for this and fit it over my old heatsink.

3 out of 5 eggsWas DOA

Pros: Super quiet (for the 5 minutes it worked).

Cons: The fan was DOA. It worked for about 5 minutes then just quit.

Other Thoughts: Put it on a Galaxy GTS 450, cause the stock fan is mega super loud.

I know the product itself is good, just stinks I got a bad fan.

Newegg RMA process is fast and helpfull. Should have my new cooler in a week.

Cons: Nothing !

Other Thoughts: this + GTS450 = coolness silence

4 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Replaced my dead reference 5850 fan. Does the job inteded better than the stock one.

Cons: LARGE, fan speed can't be controlled by CCC fan settings, installation was a bit annoying but not excesively hard.

Other Thoughts: Buy if you're on a budget and just want to replace that ref HS.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdated Review

Pros: See previous review. There were two sets of spacers for those who wanted the extra 1/2 mm. Overall a nice cooler.

Cons: Did not bring temps down from stock. But I did not apply arctic silver 5 to it either. I'll test that later.

Other Thoughts: It was huge. Not too flashy. Overall a good cooler to replace a stock fan whose blades were snapping off.
