The compact-sized Freezer 11 LP brings low noise cooling into low profile and HTPC Systems. With a height of 53 mm only, the cooler squeezes into even the tiniest PC cases.

  • newegg Compact and Lightweight With dimensions of 115 (L) x 106 (W) x 53 (H) mm, having a weight of only 255 g, the Freezer 11 LP is extremely compact. It fits virtually into any low profile PC case and is the ideal choice for any HTPC system.
  • newegg Reliable Cooling Performance Equipped with an ultra-quiet 92 mm PWM fan and two copper heatpipes, the Freezer 11 LP offers a maximum cooling capacity of 100 Watts. The dual high performance 6 mm heatpipes efficiently dissipate the heat from the CPU into the block consisting of 50 aluminum fins.
  • newegg Quick Installation The unique mounting system via push pins offers excellent stability and is applicable within minutes. The pre-applied ARCTIC MX-4 thermal compound makes the installation a clean process. The cooler is compatible with Intels socket 1155*, 1156 and 775. (*May not be compatible with all Mini-ITX mainboards.)
  • newegg Whisper-Quiet The Freezer 11 LP is a very quiet cooling solution. Even when the fan is spinning at its full speed at 2,000 RPM, the low noise impeller in the 92 mm PWM fan makes the entire operation to be nearly inaudible. The exclusive fan holder design reduces the unwanted noise by absorbing the vibration from the spinning impeller as well.

4 out of 5 eggsKinda big for Low Profile...

Pros: Very quiet, it cools pretty well. With the stock fan my CPU ran at about 55C in my cramped ITX case and now it runs about 43C at idle (probably could have been lower but that was my fault, see Other thoughts).

Cons: It's much bigger than I had anticipated. I have a GA-H61N-USB3 ITX motherboard and the cooler covers one of the RAM slots and the copper tubing is pushing against the Graphics Card...so it just barely fits. Although the PSU originally sat on top of the stock cooling fan, it will not fit inside the case (Apex MI-008) with the cover on because the new cooler is so tall (I'd guess I would need another 7 or 8 millimeters of clearance to make it fit). So I guess I gotta buy a new case and just hope that I never need more than 8 gigs of RAM. The instructions should have been clearer as to what position the CPU Cooler needs to be in, so if you buy it, make sure that the copper tubing is facing against the GPU, not the memory, or else it will get stuck on the plastic brackets that are used in installation and the cooler will never touch the CPU.

Other Thoughts: The reason it still runs at 43C at idle is because the instructions weren't very clear, so I just thought that the reason the CPU temps were so high after putting the cooler in was because the thermal paste hadn't cured. Well woke up the next morning with temps at around 80C wondering whats up. I took the cooler out to see that only half of the CPU had paste on it. I turned the cooler 90 degrees and it went in perfectly...although this is AFTER the paste cured so if I bought some new compound It'd probably be in the 30's, but not their fault so I can't really take a star off for that. Only reason it isn't 5 stars is because the instructions could've been a little better and even though the dimensions were listed and I just assumed it would fit because it's low profile...I was wrong and paid for it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat bang for buck!

Pros: It's cheap, and one of the few remaining fans I could find for my i5 2550k. The stock fan I noticed recently was running my cores at 90*C while gaming, and I promptly went in search of a new fan. Decided to take a chance on this one, and am not disappointed at all! Doing the same exact things as before, the cores aren't going above 50*C!

Cons: None so far.

1 out of 5 eggsdidnt work out

Pros: Very Quiet

Cons: Black base brackets are cheap plastic, mounting pegs are hard to remove, cpu would over heat

Other Thoughts: After following instructions and installing the computer would turn off after 2-3 min (from overheating). The Fan is very quiet which is nice, but on removing the fan during troubleshooting one of the two black mounting brackets snapped (cheap plastic). And the black pegs are near impossible to remove from the mounting brackets, just bummed i wasted 30$ my previous cpu fan popped on off much easier than this

4 out of 5 eggsGood fan for price

Pros: Transmits heat from CPU amazingly
Low profile
Good design

Cons: No indication as to which way should be 'up'.
If inserted the wrong way it won't dissapate the heat from the CPU and it will overheat. Check your screws and keep the fan as close to the CPU without overturning the screws

4 out of 5 eggsSeems awesome

Pros: Looks awesome, seems like it should work great

Cons: Doesn't fit my Intel BOXDZ68BC LGA 1155 Intel Z68 board because of the additional heat sinks around the socket. There is a bar the completely covers where the mounting bracket for this fan has to go. It is a shame really, I'm going to have to find a different cooling device, but I will most likely give this to one of my customers.

Other Thoughts: If it works as half as good as advertised I will be thoroughly impressed. It boasts a fair amount considering the low cost. Some better measurement specifications listed would be nice.

5 out of 5 eggseasy install

Pros: This thing is very quiet. That's why I bought it to replace my stock cpu fan from i3

Cons: It's bigger. But you should expect that. It installed in my Gigabyte H55M-S2H. pretty close to the memory but it's okay.

You will install provided plastic adapter brackets to fasten as it is bigger than you old stock fan. For some reason they provide plastic anchor "nails" to hold them in. I couldn't get them in and was even trying to shave them down. Then I realized you can just use the screws from the old stock fan you are replacing. Much nicer.

Other Thoughts: If you want an nice quiet fan, but this. Arctic Cooling does it again.

3 out of 5 eggsDoesn't fit ASROCK H77M mATX motherboard

Pros: Since I didn't have to pull this CPU cooler out of its clear packaging to judge the (mis-)fit in my build, I cannot comment on its function.

Cons: This cooler DOES NOT FIT on an ASROCK H77M micro ATX motherboard. The heat pipe ends span out into the area occupied by the closest memory DIMM. Maybe ultra low profile memory would allow a fit, but see below. While others have pointed out that mini-ITX boards can be a problem, there is at least one mATX board that also cannot use this cooler.

Other Thoughts: On the box, there is a reference to a "Height Restriction Drawing" available at Arctic's product page for this cooler, very near the bottom. I missed this in my purchase review. You can get there from the newegg page for this product. The relevant width of the cooler is 115mm. Perhaps ultra low profile memory would be able to fit under the heat pipe ends. The drawing indicates there is 29.4mm of room below them, measured from the surface of the motherboard (so don't forget to account for the stack height of the DIMM socket itself).

1 out of 5 eggsWon't fit..addtl clarification

Pros: see previous

Cons: see previous

Other Thoughts: Just wanted to clarify that the issues with not fitting had nothing to do with covering up memory slots or any other slots. It actually was too big for several of the circuit board components

1 out of 5 eggsWon't fit but not because of height

Pros: It looks to be well made and the mounting solution probably would have worked well if it had fit.

Cons: The mounting brackets would not fit onto a P5B Deluxe mobo. The holes line up fine on the mobo for the 775, but the parts of the brackets where the fan screws down onto them extend too far out.

Other Thoughts: I've got a full size tower and have plenty of room inside for the height of the fan. Never thought the mounting brackets would be the issue.

5 out of 5 eggsIs it working...?

Pros: It's so quiet, it's hard to believe its working.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It's definitely working. CPU-Z Hardware Monitor confirms it.
