The Accelero Mono PLUS is equipped with a universal mounting mechanism, offering full support to a broad range of graphic cards. A 120 mm PWM fan and five heatpipes provide an ultimate cooling performance and a virtually silent environment at all times.

  • newegg Superior Cooling Performance The Accelero Mono PLUS operates at a maximum cooling capacity of 200 Watts. It is equipped with a 120 mm PWM fan and five heatpipes that dissipate a large amount of heat instantly. It ensures that the VGA graphic card can run under optimal temperature for an extended service life.
  • newegg Enhanced RAM and VR Cooling To achieve ultimate cooling efficiency, the Accelero Mono PLUS comes with an electrically non-conductive thermal glue G-1 to apply on the RAM and the VR heatsink. Compared to traditional thermal tapes and pads, the G-1 provides a far better thermal conductivity and can be removed without leaving any residues behind.
  • newegg Virtually Silent Operated by a low noise impeller enclosed in a patented fan holder to reduce the buzzing sound when the fan is spinning, the Accelero Mono PLUS is barely audible even running at full load. To enable minimum noise level at all circumstances, the PWM controller enables the fan to run at the optimal speed according to the load generated by the GPU.
  • newegg Multi-Compatible* The Accelero Mono PLUS comes with a versatile mounting mechanism and extensive RAM and VR cooling to better suit different graphic cards. It is compatible with the latest Radeon HD 7870, 7850 and 7770 graphics card. (*The compatibility list is based on AMD Radeon and NVIDIA's reference board layout only.)

Cons: bigger then expected and had to remove an egg cause i had to take out my sound card and wireless card in order to get both cards in.

Other Thoughts: Was a little complicated to put together but over all im very happy

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Cools really well, near silent

Cons: least on my mini pcb card.

Other Thoughts: Fantastic. I have an Asus GTX 970 Mini which I love, but it got pretty loud under load. Decided to give this nifty little product a try and it is awesome. Previously my GPU was hitting 72 degrees under load. Since installing the Mono Plus I haven't broken 60 degrees and the fan on the Mono Plus hasn't gone over 50%. Installation was pretty straight forward, though the instructions are pretty blah. Watched a video online from a German reviewer and that made it much easier.

4 out of 5 eggsImpressed but....

Pros: I am pretty impressed with the way the Arctic Accelero Mono plus VGA cooler kept my video card cool. All things considered it really wasn't that expensive and if you can live with the cons this is an ideal option for someone who had a fan die or just wants to replace the poorly designed stock cooler. This cooler is so confusing to install because it has a very large array of cards that it can fit on. I personally followed a Youtube video of an installation that was in another language that I didn't understand because it was easier than following the directions. Here's the but...

Cons: Its ugly. Very big on the video card and its a bit heavy and makes my video card sag a bit in the slot. Make sure your case has enough room for this to fit. The directions were difficult. But its only because there are many parts that help with the install on a large variety of video cards. That being said.. None of that matters when you consider its performance.

Other Thoughts: I installed the cooler on a GTX760 4gb card. The stock cooler used heat sinks and 1 single cooler to bring the hot air out of the card. Never actually blew air onto the card. I will NEVER buy a card designed with such a bad cooler ever again. My video card looked HUGE until I got it taken apart. The fan took up half the size of the card. I'm actually a bit embarrassed I bought the card in the first place.

Stock cooler sat idle at 50C and under load would reach temps in the 70's! This cooler brought my temp down to 30 at idle and 45C when playing arma2. stress temps never go over 54. Its also allowed me to overclock the GTX760 and get an extra 100MHZ off the GPU. Im happy I bought it to extend the life of my card instead of buying a new one. I will hand this card down to the kids in a few months.

5 out of 5 eggsMuch better than reference 670

Pros: Very quiet, very effective.

My EVGA GTX 670 with a reference cooler would idle at 65C, load at about 95C, and was so loud... atrociously so.

My idle temps with this cooler is about 35C, load is around 60C.. and I can't hear it.

Provided instructions were decent, I was able to perform the installation without any issues.

Cons: This thing is big.. the price you pay beyond your dollar is in space. It's effectively a three slot GPU now.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPU Heatsink

Pros: Awesome GPU cooler instead of wasting hundreds of dollars for a water cooling. I had to buy this since it cost 25 dollars for a puny 87mm fan for my GTX 650 ti model and i needed to buy 2 so i bought this cooler instead.

Deus Ex human revolution directors cut at 720p at 1080p i can't read the text.
Old heatsink: 33c idle 53c load
New heatsink: 21c idle 24c load

Old 62c
new 27c

League of Legends
Old 45C
New 23C

Diablo 2
same as idle

So based on the temperatures if gives you plenty of headroom to game at higher resolutions without a problem with the fan running 800 rpm. Or even overclock if you desire

Cons: Molex connector can use a little work since the pins are loose and it took me 28 minutes to connect without it popping out couple times.

Hooked up the fan to the desired speed and it worked fine so i shut off my computer so i can connect rest of the cables. And once booting up the fan was fried.

I removed the fan and took a big sniff and smelled like burnt electronic and was lying to myself its probably the oil im smelling. Hooked it up to my PWM controller by splicing the wires and nothing. Hooked it up to my motherboard and nothing then i hooked it up to my car battery and nothing. Used a meter to check my 850W silver rating XFX power supply and was fine.

So instead of doing the RMA process and wait for weeks playing farmville 2 without my video card overheating i had to become macgyver myself since i have experience with soldering pcb repairs from the 90s from PC to console mods using 28 pin chips dreamcast era. Decided to take the fan off and extend the fan holder to add a corsair fan by melting the plastic clips with another piece for the corsair to fit since they are big. Connected the fan to my system fan and set it at 800 rpm and works fine.

Other Thoughts: Overall the heatsink is a miracle for us who don't like to replace fans every year since you can't maintain them when needed by adding lube or changing the bearings without breaking the shaft. Just be ready to have a spare fan laying around in case it doesn't work because you can't exchange it unless you do some modifications.

I would buy another for my next video card and would recommend to my friends and install it myself unless they have the experience.

4 out of 5 eggsMassive Cooling

Pros: This cooler took my temps down about 30 degrees on my card. It comes with plenty of heatsinks which I used to also cover the vram and ram on the card. I cleaned off the thermal paste and used my own better quality paste and thermal adhesive for the heatsinks. Well worth the money and I see the price has dropped a lot on it now. I would buy this cooler again if I needed to.

Cons: The fan on it was dead when I got it out of the box and installed it. I didn't bother sending it back and waiting for the long drawn out process of an RMA. I replaced it with a blue LED fan which actually looks better in my case with the blue lighted theme. The cooler is really big so it helps to have plenty of room for it. It sticks out about 2 inches past my card.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, quiet

Pros: - Extremely quiet
- Very good cooling

Cons: (None)

Other Thoughts: I have a Radeon HD 6870 and its stock fan seemed to be getting louder and louder over time. With the Accelero Mono Plus I hear nothing. Still freaks me out a bit at startup because I think the computer isn't booting right, but its just the lack of GPU fan noise.

Other points:
- Read the installation instructions carefully, especially if you've never replaced a GPU heatsink before (I hadn't).
- Look for instruction videos or articles online. I found a few dedicated to the Accelero Mono Plus that helped a lot.
- I did not install the memory cooling fins that come with the fan. My card already had fins and metal plating on those parts that fit with the Mono Plus. If you do install them, really watch out for thermal paste/glue leaking onto any surrounding circuitry. A few people have commented that installing this fan killed their card, and I suspect this is the most likely problem step. The instructions tell you to tape over surrounding circuitry to shield it--definitely do this.
- I cleaned the existing thermal glue off the GPU using isopropyl alcohol (70%) and a paper towel, while the instructions seem to want you to use an eraser. I guess either would work?
- Max GPU temperature playing Metro: Last Light Redux never got above 38C, though I haven't stress tested it further.
- This fan is BIG. Others have said this, I'll add to the chorus. Make sure your case is big enough to accommodate.
- I actually had the most trouble getting the stock fan's power connector out of the socket on the VGA board. The stock fan's connector had some nubs on it that locked it into place in the socket. Ended up getting a pair of very fine/thin scissors I have and gently inserting one blade and twisting slightly to pop the nub out.

I've only had this installed for 2 days now, so if anything changes I'll come back and update.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic cooler

Pros: I put this on my GTX 470 despite it not being offically supported and I have to say that this cooler is outstanding. Before I was hitting the upper 60's under load and listening to the jet like roar of the stock reference cooler and now it's over 20 degrees lower and the fan is running below the threshold of hearing compared to the pump and other fans currently in my system. If you're on the fence about getting one of these, do it. You will not regret it.

Cons: The instructions are wanting but if you're good with your hands and patient the installation isn't all that bad. Not a ding against the cooler but a caveat for the novices among us to consider.
