5 out of 5 eggsupdated reveiw

Pros: great cooler,allsome customer support

Cons: aparently none

Other Thoughts: just an update, so i went to arctics site, went to customer support, told them about the problem with the fan,and to my suprise within hours(well was playing bf3 so could have been sooner lol) I get an email saying in short they do have a warrenty and they stand by it, and they are sending me a new fan,so agin this is an allsome cooler, and when i get my new fan it will be even better,so in other words dont let the posibilty of this happening deturr you from buying this cooler, cause it would seem arctic is just as great as their products

2 out of 5 eggsfan is junk

Pros: is a nice looking cooler, liked the fact you can remove fan to clean with out removing the whole thing

Cons: have had this thing about 2 weeks or so and allready fan has dyed, of course fan is costom made to fit this heat sink so you cant just use another fan in it, and if you could find 1 it would look pretty stupid, so its back to the stock fan which at least works

Other Thoughts: this thing looks kind of small in my thermal take leavel 10 case, of course it looked great even thogh it dosent have no kind of lights on it, not sure what im gona do being ive never had to send anything back before, also i dont have all the oringinal packaging it came in, and no time to go to mail it back

4 out of 5 eggsnot quite arctic

Pros: good cooling, quiet, and fits my case.

Cons: not as good as I was hoping. I wanted to never have to worry about my temps while overclocking, but I guess I should have gone with a noctua for that. this is reasonable for the cash.

Other Thoughts: only like 50$. good cooling.

5 out of 5 eggsFreeze this!

Pros: Quiet, easy install. Although it's quite large, it fits in most cases nicely with little effort. Keeps my Octo-core monster running in the mid 30"s. Never hits 40c.

Cons: Not a complaint in the world.

Other Thoughts: It's quiet and cold. That's it's job and it does it very well.
I'm nothing short of amazed.

1 out of 5 eggsDoen't work on 780i

Pros: looks well made, a lot of copper, base looks pretty flat

Cons: BIG con, says it fits intel socket 775. but would NOT sit down onto the CPU for me, the closest it got was still an 1/8th inch away.

Other Thoughts: I wish it worked

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Quiet!! 131mm tall so it fits perfectly on my AMD FX8350 inside my Lian Li PC-C33B HTPC case, and trust me you don't have any room to spare because the copper nubs on top come close to hitting the cover. Does a much better job than the stock cooler and a 120mm Cooler Master down flow GeminII cooler I was using. 36c idle/50c under a heavy load now whereas I was at 44c idle and hitting well into to high 50s and freezing up playing a game under load. Not no more. Does not block my memory at all and they have heatsinks on them :)

Cons: The fan itself is for this cooler only and not upgradeable.

Other Thoughts: The fan isn't upgradeable but it is replaceable from Artics' website for just shy of $11 including shipping. I did order it JIC something happened to this one so I wouldn't be zip tying one of my other 120mm to it while I waited for a replacement. My case was holding heat with the setup I had so it was essential to me to find a push pull setup that would fit into my limited space and this fit the bill!! Great cooler. Buy it and I guarantee you won't be disappointed :)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat aftermarket cooler

Pros: Much quieter than stock cooler.
Lowered temps by 12C
Pre-applied thermal paste.
Easy to mount on AMD CPUs.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This was mounted on a quad core AMD system. Has been installed for 4 months without any issues. Although bigger than stock cooler, it has a lower profile than most tower coolers. Also allows access to all 4 memory slots.

3 out of 5 eggsLarge and in charge, but...

Pros: Large surface area for better heat dissipation. Does not require removal of motherboard for installation. Quiet and easy removal of fan. Keeps my i3-2100 under 25C even under extensive stress testing.

Cons: A bit on the heavy side but not too bad. Fan is designed for this heatsink alone and cannot be replaced with a different fan meaning when the fan dies, you either have to go buy a replacement fan (if you can even do so) or get a different heatsink. Fan cable is extremely thin.

Other Thoughts: I am most disappointed with the fan design. If I had known this I would have purchased a different heatsink with a universal fan mount.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler

Pros: Quiet
Dropped load temps on 8350 VS Stock cooler by 5C
Don't need to remove mount for AMD to install
TIM pre applied.
Awesome warranty.

Cons: Questionable screw thread length for tabs on AMD mounting considering how much this thing weighs, the screw tab only seems to catch two threads.

Other Thoughts: Huge, its really huge.
Must remove fan to install, not an issue since its easy to do.
Super warranty.
I could tighten the screws going into the copper base plate almost another half turn, not sure why they were not tight.
I replaced the stock cooler on a server build to reduce the maintenance interval, the stock cooler would plug and need serviced every month judging by other coolers like it. This will need serviced every 6 months.
