The Accelero Xtreme III offers superior cooling performance in silence for the fastest single GPU and a wide-range of graphic cards. With its superior performance, this cooler definitely satisfies all overclockers and enthusiasts who enjoy powerful graphic cards.

  • newegg Superior Cooling Performance Featuring three 92mm PWM fans with a maximum cooling capacity up to 300 Watts, the Accelero Xtreme III manages to transfer heat efficiently away from the GPU. Besides the 84-fin heatsink with 5 copper heatpipes, the pre-applied MX-4 thermal compound accelerates the heat dissipation process to ensure the VGA board is running under optimal temperature.
  • newegg Enhanced RAM and VR Cooling The Accelero Xtreme III comes with 31 RAM and VR heatsinks to cool your RAM and VR. This included thermal adhesive lowers RAM and VR temperature significantly and assures proper bond.
  • newegg Virtually-Silent With three PWM-controlled 92 mm fans, the Accelero Xtreme III cools efficiently and silently. Thanks to the PWM control, the fan spins according to the temperature of the GPU. This means that the fans just spin up if necessary and will rest at minimum speed otherwise. PWM settings can be modified to fix the priorities between performance and noise.
  • newegg Multi-Compatible Aside from it being CrossFire and SLI compatible, the Accelero Xtreme III comes with a versatile and interchangeable mounting mechanism along with 31 RAM and VR heatsinks to fit different models. New accessory sets will be available to make the VGA cooler compatible with future models.

3 out of 5 eggsLarge and Bulky, but works great

Pros: Great cooling, Large Main Heatsink, Also comes with small heatsinks to glue to smaller chips to add to cooling power.

Cons: VERY VERY Large, Please make sure you have plenty of space for this heatsink. It is very thick, almost 3.5 slots thick (rear tower opening) Also the thermal adhesive was completely hard and useless. if ordering please consider buying thermal adhesive along with this cooler. Also for GTX 670 users as well as possibly other video cards, this heatsink doesnt match up with the video card, it sits as a whole off center. There is a gap between the exterior HDMI connectors and the heatsink cooling area.

Other Thoughts: Might want to order Thermal Adhesive, Need to glue smaller heatsinks to ram chips and other chips.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Much quieter than the "stock" fan on my EVGA GTX 670. The noise was noticeable at 40% speed, annoying at 60%, and pretty much unplayable at 100% unless you had headphones on because it sounded like a hair dryer in my case...

After installation of the Accelero Xtreme III, I noticed changes immediately. The fans are much much quieter, even up to 50%, it's barely noticeable. The temperature drops are almost staggering. I had idle temps of about 54-56C, and load temps between 81-85C with my old cooler. Now my idle temps are 33-34C, and load temps are 44-47C usually. I saw usually because I ran the Heaven benchmark and it ran at 41C all the way through (all settings at the highest).

I forgot to mention that I have my card overclocked. So running the overclocked card at these low temps is actually pretty impressive.

Cons: The directions... as they are pretty confusing. It took me about 2 and a half hours to complete the installation, and it's mainly because of the unclear instructions. I had to look up a couple videos just to get a clearer image of what I'm supposed to do.

Also, the thermal adhesive that came with the package (to place heatsinks on your RAM and voltage regulators) was actually dried up. Disappointed of that fact.

Other Thoughts: This thing is huge. Make sure you read the specs of the card and how much space you have in your case. I barely had enough room in my Thermaltake Chaser MK-I. Also, I don't know if it's a problem with other cards, but on mine I can't control the fan speeds through the fan connector on the card. So I have to connect it to the motherboard to control it through the BIOS. Just a slight inconvenience, and may not even be a problem for all.

5 out of 5 eggsShhhh....

Pros: Quiet and cool. Did I mention these are quiet and cool. Dropped my idle temps over 10c each and never goes over 60c on a full load. Can turn them on full and can barely hear them over the case fans.

Cons: Weren't free.

Other Thoughts: Bought two of these babies for a GTX580 and a GTX570. It was a little difficult at first to figure out how to install them by viewing the included install guide, but a trip to YouTube and reading a few reviews by other people it wasn't that bad in the end.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Evga GTX580 idle was 46c, after installing this it's now 32c.

Cons: Wasn't as difficult to install as some have stated. The longest part was waiting for the adhesive to dry.

Other Thoughts: When installing remember to put the 3 strips under the 3 heat sinks that call for it. I forgot and had to remove the heat sinks and install them. Wasn't difficult, but easier to do the first time. I just ordered another to put on my other PC that has a Evga GTX570. This time will be a breeze.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Idle temp dropped from 31c to 23c

100% load dropped from about 76c to 47c

Much quieter than the stock fan

Cons: Instructions don't cover every card's installation thoroughly.

I wasn't able to put heatsinks on the 8 RAM chips of my card because the bracket blocks nearly all of them.

Once everything is fully attached, it really takes up a ton of space.

Other Thoughts: I bought an MSI GTX670 and the fan was super noisy over 45% (can't remember the exact RPM) fan speed. Since I wanted to overclock eventually anyway, I decided to buy this. I'm really pleased with the cooling performance and how quiet it is.

If you buy this for your GTX670, add about 2.5 inches to the length of the cooler to see if your case has enough room, since it doesn't line up with the back of the case.

The instructions presume some prior knowledge on the consumer's part, especially recognition of certain chips you may want to apply heatsinks to, as they are often in different locations on cards depending on what you have. This can be kind of daunting for a newcomer, so if it concerns you, I recommend looking for an instructional video on how to install this before you purchase it.

It came with some solid thermal paste already applied to the heatsink, but I removed it fairly easily and used Arctic Silver 5 instead. Whether this helped the massive temp improvements I'm not sure, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

4 out of 5 eggsGTX 660

Pros: Great Cooler for it's price. Does a fantastic job of keeping my 660 cool and quiet. Comes with Arctic MX-4 Thermal Compound already on it even. Heatsinks supplied are of very good quality for your RAM and VR chips. The supplied adhesive doesn't take to long to cure either. Liked it so much I almost immediately (a couple of days later) purchased another one for the wife's GTX 560 Ti.

Cons: Instructions are a joke like other people have commented. Website reads that it is compatible with the GTX 660 but doesn't provide installation instructions for this card. Followed basic installation instructions for the 680, come to find that two RAM chips are to close to the installation plate (and not touching even) but the heatsinks will still hit the copper tubing. Had to use different heatsinks for those two.

Other Thoughts: Wasn't an easy install but works great. Like others have mentioned, make sure you have the space for this in your case because it will take up 3 slots (min) and made my card measure 12" in length.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Temps after 3DMark on XFX HD6970:
Stock cooler 80c max. AX3 cooler 71c.
Starcraft 2 Desert Strike proved similar results 75c and 68c if I remember right.
Can't hear It outside the case at full RPM.

Cons: It's a pain to install. Instructions suck. Took me about 3 hours total from shut down to reboot. I was afraid to install all the little heats inks because I didnt know what was what on the board and figured a hotter board was better than a shorted board.

Other Thoughts: Even with the painfulness of installation, even if the temp difference wasn't so substantial, it would be way worth it simple for the silence.

5 out of 5 eggsdouble sided sticky tape

Pros: much cooler

Cons: hard to install

Other Thoughts: Do not use double sided sticky tape people...THERMAL pads are used for a reason. Double sided sticky tape will just burn up your card, and possibly cause a fire in your rig.

4 out of 5 eggsARCTIC COOLING ACCEL-X3

Pros: cools very well vs refence coolers. not to bad looking, fans on this are working fine after 2 months at 100% its Qiet enuff fore me. very good inprovements in vrm temps and ram.

Cons: none as yet

Other Thoughts: ok some of the heat sinks can be tricky to lay out and will vary on your card so lay it out before you glue them on. the cement that was provided seems to be working fine i did not use the gpu thermal compound i used artic mx-4 it might have been the same on it to begin with not sure mx-4 is working great. ok before i intalled this heatsink on my xfx-hd6970 running 3 24inch 1080 moniters i was ideling at 42 c at 75% fan 68-72c under load 100%fan.After idleing at 35c and havent seen it go over 58 even with 2 back2back furmark 15min burn in runs with a bump in gpu clock and ram clock the fans at 100% are tolerable so no more opening catalist to turn fans up yeah!!! i think i see a fiberglass resin shrowed mod in my future with 2 120mm fans oh boy

1 out of 5 eggsVery Upset with product at this point.

Pros: It might have worked.

Cons: I received the fan that I bought, advertised to fit on a 570.
Receive fan quickly, (newegg hasn't let me down in the shipping area),
Tried to install the thing, and found at at the end that the mounting bracket was not the right size... Left complaint/concern with newegg asking for their advice--No response,
SO,
I order new bracket from Arctic and wait 15 DAYS for the bracket to come from hong kong--and finally it arrives, and I'm excitedly setting it up, when I realize that the other residents of my house have thrown away the screws to mount it.

SO
I am left with this Cooling fan--a no longer working GTX 570--For a month now--AND i'm down 85+ dollars.
*Not a happy shopper*

Other Thoughts: I am generally very satisfied with newegg.
