I settled on the Arctic F8 and it was an excellent choice. I cut the original Arctic leads to splice them into the original harness inside the power supply, as it connects to a thermal control PCB. Nice and silent again... with good air flow. Cons: No cons for the fan itself, but I had to dock one "egg" for shipping. See "Other thoughts" Other Thoughts: Ok, so like many of us, we're willing to accept free shipping to save a few bucks. While I completely understand that Super Saver says 4-7 days, I'm only 9 miles from the City of Industry warehouse and expected the fan to arrive in 2 days, tops! Heck I recently ordered a hard drive and it arrived the next day by UPS! So, here's what Newegg did on this order; picked up by DHL, who eventually tenders it to USPS. Total shipping time? 4 days. It's relatively quiet; at full speed it has minimal noise levels. Very little vibration as compared to sleeve and 2ball-bearing fans I have owned. Cons: I had it as the push in a push-pull on a CPU HS and there was a noticeable whine at full speed. I switched it to the pull side and the whine went away. Other Thoughts: I was able to voltage regulate this fan. I purchased a second one of these for a front intake vent.
