Pros: Quiet when it worked and completely silent the rest of the time.

Cons: Didn't work out of the box. The wires and solder points are extremely thin and cheap. If I pushed on the wires near the motor I could get the fan to run but only if the wires were held in the right position.

Other Thoughts: This fan is too expensive for such thin wires and solder points. There are better choices if you want a quiet fan.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet fo a ball bearing fan

Pros: Moves a large amount of air with nary a sound. The fan looks cheap but has a solid feel. Fan cable has a separate plug for the RPM sensing (not shown or described) which works out perfectly for my scenario because I have it hooked up to a fan speed controller.

Cons: Extremely thin wires that if caught by a fan blade will more than likely cut. PWM chain connector is permanent.

Other Thoughts: I strongly advise sheathing the cable just to be safe. Other than that I am very satisfied with the quality of the fan and its performance (minus the cable).

5 out of 5 eggsArctic Cooling Arctic F12 PWM 120mm case fan

Pros: Neweggs price, and delivery. Decent fan, cools well, good airflow. Responds to the motherboard fan program.

Cons: Not really, but it is a funny color. Looks like white and black not well mixed together. Not really a con, but surprising when you open the box.

Other Thoughts: Installed one of these in the rear and 2 F12 regular fans in front. Temps are 27C with a Intel Q9400 on top of a Intel DX48BT2 board with 8GB of memory.

4 out of 5 eggsArtic Fans

Pros: Fans are quiet; made with dual ball bearings and they seem to perform well. The cables have both male and female connections, a nice featue.

Cons: The fan cables are too short. I was able to use two in my Antec 300 box, but it was a real stretch and having the two connectors saved me. I doubt the cable lengths are given (don't recall), but beware! Dropped an egg for only this reason.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs quiet in my application (CPU cooler). Included cables allow you to use this fan's PWM functions to control an additional non PWM fan.

Cons: A little pricier then some of the alternatives.

Other Thoughts: While I am not using this to control a non PWM fan... If I had know this fan included the feature to control one... I would have looked for a 140mm instead to replace the top exhaust on my case and used the fan to control the non PWM fan which came with my CPU cooler.
