The ARCTIC F PWM forwards the PWM signal from the CPU to the whole case ventilation system. The entire system is cooled quietly, but still offers the superb performance when needed.

  • newegg Versatile Applicable With the standard 25mm frame, the ARCTIC F PWM can be applied as intake or outtake system fan.
  • newegg Silent Operation Thanks to fluid dynamic bearing and the unique fan holder design, the ARCTIC F PWM is not only quiet, but also highly durable.
  • newegg Quick and Easy Setup Via the PWM signal, the CPU fan is controlled by the mainboard to reach the ideal temperature for the CPU. The exclulsive PST (PWM Sharing Technology) is forwarding the PWM signal to all other fans inside the system. This way, all fans are spinning at the same speed. This provides silent operation in idle mode, but also gives sufficient performance, when required to offer efficient cooling.

4 out of 5 eggsEffective Cooling But Can't Use

Pros: Simple design, case fan high efficiency. In My Case
I had planned on using it to replace 140 mm Cougar Fan to use as side Panel fan in Cougar Evolution Case.
Arctic Fan reduced temp 5c, but after about a minute the side of my case would start resonating. It was as loud as a two table fans in my office. I tried installing/uninstalling twice with different size case screws. I had to reinstall the Cougar, take the temp hit, cause Cougar fans are absolutely silent.

Cons: Vibrations causing case side panel to resonate. Although the cooling is effective, I can't recommend.

Other Thoughts: Because the cost of shipping doesn't seem worth an RMA. I will use in a future build maybe.

1 out of 5 eggsGood case fan for the price!

Pros: Good case fan. Works great with my push and pull configuration on my triple 140 mm radiator. Very silent at low rpms.

Cons: My only con is that 1 out of 10 fans that I ordered came defective. Does not spin up at all. Newegg's RMA whats to charge me $12 to ship it back for a replacement. That $4 dollars more than what I paid for each on sale. Not worth it.

Other Thoughts: I'm better off just ordering a new one than to go thru the whole process of RMA-ing it. Newegg has some great deals, but time like this I wish I would've just got these fans from a local computer store. So much easier to return defective stuff.

4 out of 5 eggsGood run-of-the-mill case fan.

Pros: Like all Arctic fans, quiet and affordable.
Can be readily "daisy-chained" with other Arctic fans.

Cons: Definitely not something to put on a heatsink or radiator.
Inefficient design?

Other Thoughts: Looking at the hard numbers often leaves one scratching their head as to why this only seems marginally better than their 120mm version.

5 out of 5 eggsGood fan, easy to use

Pros: Quiet. Used to replace the LOUD fan that came with my PS, and it was cheap enough that I could buy two more and daisy-chain them all to the same input on the MOBO.

Cons: None so far...

5 out of 5 eggsPleasant

Pros: It's Arctic Cooling!
Cheap compared to other 140mm fans, especially considering these are PWM. AND, you can daisy chain them!
Good and quiet air flow that will stay that way for a LONG time!

Cons: Nope

Other Thoughts: These are manufactured with a different plastic than the F12 fans it seems. That is unless they have changed all the fans since I had ordered my F12's in March of 2012.

These fans are a smooth, bright glossy white, while the shroud is a smooth gloss black(IMO it makes them look cheaper). My F12's on the other hand are slightly textured and have a matte finish on the fan and shroud. So if you're looking to match F12's, these may not!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fan

Pros: Big quiet fan with a lot of CFM

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Replaced the original 140mm fan in my Lian Li PC-C33 case with this. Outperforms and just as quiet :)

4 out of 5 eggsNeeds more cable

Pros: Looks great with Fractal Define cases.
Very quiet
6-Year warranty!
No LED! (A pro for me at least)

Cons: The included cable is pretty short (<12"). I need to buy an extension to reach the bottom edge of my Z77 sabertooth motherboard from the rear exhaust position on my Fractal Define XL

Other Thoughts: A little pricey, but it seems high-quality. The only downside is cable is a little short for a case fan. It almost reaches in my case/motherboard, but I would be out of luck if I tried to put it on the front as an intake

Build:
i7-3770K
Asus Z77 Sabertooth
Fractal Define XL
Mushkin Blackline 4x4 GB DDR3-1600
Asus 660 Ti TOP
600GB SATA3 Velociraptor
X-Fi Fatality Titanium

4 out of 5 eggsBlow Me Down

Pros: Moves air, PWM 4 wire. Good upgrade for Fractal computer cases.

Cons: Comes with 3 or 4 wire adapter, it is kind of cumbersome especially if you just want a 4 wire PWM fan hook up.

Other Thoughts: Watch your fingers, OUCH!

5 out of 5 eggsHums Like a Butterfly

Pros: Excellent. Plays nice with all the other fans too. Standard mounting arrangement so no surprises.

Cons: None Here

Other Thoughts: I like color (LED) but others not so much. No lights here.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

Pros: Seems pretty quiet-running so far. Works as expected. Fits just fine in my case (though I'm running it as intake on a microATX setup).

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Fan has a 12" power cable. Not the longest, but pretty standard for PWM fans from what I've seen. 1-egg is rather undeserved for an otherwise perfectly-good product that doesn't fit a specific users application .
