5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Bought this to replace an old stock AMD heatsink that was both noisy and ineffective. After installation, my CPU temp is at least twenty degrees Celsius cooler (the idle temp was well above average before installation) and it is much, much quieter. I can actually hear my games now, instead of hearing the fan through headphones. Even under load the fan is amazingly quiet. Definitely worth the price if looking for a lower end replacement.

Cons: Only con was the installation. It wasn't that bad, but was a bit of a pain to get both hooks set.

2 out of 5 eggsNot so good

Pros: none, I didn't even get to see it spin.

Cons: I couldn't clamp it down. I broke the fan trying to install it.

Other Thoughts: well, I'm not going to waist the time with a sent back, so I'm going to call it a lost. I recommend getting a different one to everyone.

5 out of 5 eggsA bit of challenge to install but so worth it!

Pros: Thermal paste pre-applied
Dead silent. I can hear my hardrive now lol.
Cool design and compact enough for my HP slimline.

Cons: Like it says in the title (if u have a micro atx.) Aside from that, none!

Other Thoughts: I had to unscrew my mobo to attach the Artic hs, once attached it worked like a charm. I can't hear it period. Even when I ran an assessment on my htpc, it didn't even make a sound. Time to get a ssd!

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: This cools just a little bit better than the stock AMD cooler that came with the FX-4100, but it's better none the less.

Cons: This was NOT as easy to install as Artic claims. I had to remove the top panel of my case in order to get any room to make sure the clips snapped in. After that, it was smooth sailing.

Other Thoughts: Its quieter than the stock cooler, but it only cools a few degrees Celsius than the stock. Running Prime95 I'm at about 55-57 Celsius. With the stock, I was closer to 60.

5 out of 5 eggsAprehensive but very tight fit

Pros: Price. Quick ship by Newegg. Very quiet. No problems with operation so far. Fit snuggly in AM3 socket.

Cons: very very very tight fit. One reviewer mentioned the excessive amount of pressure needed to secure second clip. He is not exaggerating. I have fairly strong hands and fingers. I'm using near full force pushing down on the fan housing with one thumb and using the other hand index finger to push the clip on the CPU base housing. It was great relieve when I head the ping-snap when the clip snapped on. The power plug has four pins. My Hp on had three pins on the motherboard, but there's a slot on the new fan power plug that ensure the right three pins are connected. You can hear the motherboard speeding and slowing the fan motor as needed, but it's still a quiet operation.

Other Thoughts: I luckily had a friend available to shine a flashlight in the dark tight quarters. Use a screwdriver to spring the clips outward in order to slip over the base catches/tabs. Secure the first clip on the side closest to you that way you can see the last catch easier and are able to position your fingers an thumb to apply pressure to push fan housing down and push the clip over the base tab. Make sure the CPU is all the way down and secured. You'll need every micro-inch.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as intended, after RMA

Pros: After recieving the replacement fan I installed this one. It works as intended and didn't arrive broken. It is pretty quiet.

Cons: I did feel like I had to push on my cpu really hard to install this. I don't really want to push that hard on my cpu again. However, I felt like I had to push just as hard when I installed the stock cooler before this.

Other Thoughts: I haven't done any thermal testing but it seems like it is working and I've had no problems. :)

5 out of 5 eggsamazing product for the price

Pros: Its pretty much silent. It cools significantly better than the stock heatsink. It fits on a mini itx motherboard and cools everything around it

Cons: the fan part comes of easily, so if the top part comes off it is NOT BROKEN. The majority of bad reviews is about the top coming off and the buyer thinking it is broken. Again, that does NOT mean it is broken. At this price, I can't complain about anything.

Other Thoughts: if you're on a budget and want to upgrade your stock heatsink, this is for you. Configure your BIOS, CMOS, or UEFI for best results.
I love mini- itx builds

1 out of 5 eggsNot a good buy

Pros: Very quiet

Cons: I'm using with an FX 8320. The clips wouldn't reach the socket on the motherboard so I had to use a pair of needle-nosed pliers to make them reach. The CPU is also very hot. I'm getting temperatures up to 71°C when stress testing with Prime 95.

Other Thoughts: Only good thing about it is the quietness. Other then that it was a pain to install and doesn't cool very well. I would not recommend this cooler.
