Pros: When the fan is functioning, it is quiet and keeps the cpu cool even under full workload. In other words the heat pipes and radiator fins can handle at least 130 watts when the fan works.

Cons: The 6 year limited warranty listed in the Newegg product description is useless. I built 3 BEAST gamer desktops [ASUS X79-Deluxe + Intel 4960X] in Jan 2014 using the i30 cooler and all 3 fans have progressively failed. The fail mode is that upon power-up the fans need as much as 2 minutes to reach 700+ rpm. When this happens the ASUS intelligent bios stops the boot to avoid burning out the cpu ( a good thing when the cpu is a $1,000 item). The 6 year warranty listed by Newegg is useless. I managed to get one fan replaced through Artic, but Newegg has been such a PITA that the second failure was replaced by purchasing a new fan. Now the third fan is failing and so is my patience with the customer service of both Artic and Newegg.

Other Thoughts: If you buy this product, expect to buy a replacement fan within the first year of use. The listed 6 year warranty is in my experience bogus. I advise you to purchase additional replacement fans when/if you buy the i30 Cooler.

Pros: The entire fan looks awesome!

Cons: I have been a huge fan of the Arctic Cooling solutions for almost a decade, but this has been (by far) one of the hardest fans to install. I just started a build (Asus Maximus VII) and was dumbfounded by the microscopic adhesion rings that they expected to hold up their mounting spacers.

Other Thoughts: After almost an hour I finally jury rigged a mount but was less than satisfied with the system they designed and am now getting a weird vibration noise. Not one of their better mounting systems, I am a little disappointed.

Pros: Looks like it would work well, nice construction.

Cons: Does not fit on ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME/U3.1 LGA 2011-v3 Mother board. No matter the orientation of the fan, the RAM slots get in the way.

I was torturing the heck out of my i7 and had it to 90 C. Stopped the load program and it dropped to 23 C in mere seconds! Under 80% load the CPU stays below 56 C and the fan is whisper quiet.

The price is very fair.

I swapped the fan around and have it sucking through. I placed the fan side towards the back of the case and that allows the RAM to be completely open. Some others failed to see that the fan can be flipped. There is even room for the G. Skill RAM cooler.

My old mid tower case clears the top of this giant with ease. I wasn't sure if it would. The new cases are much wider, so no problem.

Cons: It is a bear to line up and keep the little standoffs up for the 1150 while balancing the unit. The sticky rings help a lot, but it is still a balancing act.

Do NOT try to install this with the motherboard in the case. That would cause too much mental stress. Out of the case, it took about 15 minutes to carefully and slowly install.

Other Thoughts: I would get another in a heartbeat.

Pros: Keeps the CPU colder then anything I have ever seen. Lowest temp was 3 degrees, highest was 54 and that was running a really really powerful game. Handles my 3770k i7 like a charm.

Cons: It was really hard to install and I had to use my own thermal paste because there wasn't enough.

Other Thoughts: If they gave me more paste, it would have gone a lot better.

Pros: Quiet and if properly installed (using arctic silver 5) will keep temps 8 - 10 deg. C. below included intel sink. Expect more as ac silver 5 cures (about 150-200 hours) used arctic cooling freezer 13 on core 2 quad 9650 at 3.5 mhz. for 4 years with great results. The i 30 allows fan placement in 4 configurations. I had to mount fan opposite mem. dimms to allow 32 gig. trident x's and tall heat sinks to fit . In the end it all worked out. Price was good, performance was good. Installation could have been easier but it worked out (about 25 min). Have always liked arctic cooling . Nothing fancy just a good solid product. Installation can be frustrating for first timers . Take your time and think it out.

Cons: Instructions could have been better. They read like they were written by someone who does not use English as their first language. Need to consider size, it overhangs dimms on too many MB's.

Other Thoughts: measure before you buy. approx. 25 mm to 1 inch

Pros: Sturdy construction and mounting hardware.

Cons: Doesn't fit on ASUS P8Z77-V with CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) as it blocks 1 DIMM slot.
