5 out of 5 eggsSolid, Quiet, Cool

Pros: Suuuper quiet, looks great, have owned for two years now and not one hitch at all. It's good that the hot air is expelled from the rear of the case and not just mixed right back into the case air volume.

Cons: Rather large (it robs the PCI slot right below the AGP slot, but that's standard issue).

Other Thoughts: I removed the cooler from my ATI X800 XT AIW AGP GPU and removed the standard thermal paste and used Arctic Silver 5. I noticed a considerable drop in my maximum GPU temp (from 72C to 68C), but I also increased the fan size and count in my case so that also helped alot. As far as my card goes, I had read forums that stated that the RPM controller chip spiked to well above 12V (more like 20V+), I rewired the fan power cord directly to my power supply to avoid any potential burnout on the DC motor of the fan...just a thought for this card.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: My graphics card, a 9800pro was the loudest thing in my case. Now my graphics card barely makes a whisper. Very happy with this. I also like the fact that it vents the hot air outside my case.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGood While it Lasted...

Pros: Lowered GPU Temps AND Case Temps.

Very Quiet For How Big it is.

Cons: Worked Great, Until 7 Days after the 1 Year warranty was up it started grinding....

Takes up the 1st PCI Slot (but what video card cooler nowadays doesn't?

Other Thoughts: Was a great cooler while it lasted, Kept my X800XT AIW card cooled nicely. Was going to buy another one but they're always out of stock now.

5 out of 5 eggsArctic Cooling VGA Cooler

Pros: Does an excellent job at cooling a FireGL V5000 video card. The air at the rear vent of the cooler always feel cool, meaning that it's more than adequate cooler.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: On the FireGL card the cooler was a little bit on the tight fit, but it wasn't a big issue. Everything fits, works, and cools properly. Oh, and ofcourse it's Silent!

5 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: Easy to install
QUIET

Cons: Mounts were a bit snug and had to be pushed with a wee bit of force. Hooray tolerances.

Other Thoughts: Buy one now!

5 out of 5 eggs9700 pro

Pros: I bought this for better cooling on my GPU because I was overheating in BF2, this solved the problem quite well. Easy enough to install.

Cons: Well for a while my computer sat in a corner and got rather dusty, the fan became then the loudest part in my PC, making an odd knocking noise. Too keep the Cooler firm against the GPU, it uses a very small plastic pin on the other side to hold it there, it's kinda hard to explain unless you see it, but basically its got a plastic button pressing up against the other side of the card, didn't feel comfortable putting that much pressure on it.

Other Thoughts: You cant tell by the pics, but this comes with an exhaust bay for you to install into the slot next to your card, couldnt feel any air coming from it though

2 out of 5 eggsNot completely compatible

Pros: Nice replacement if needed.

Cons: Not compatible with Radeon ATI 9600pro as it says it is. The posts are oriented 2 cm off from the cards needed position. Therefore it will not fit in the holes. Also there 3 capacitors beside the GPU that don't allow low profile coolers to be installed.

Other Thoughts: I wish I would have gotten it from the Egg because it would have been easier to trade for the correct cooler :(

5 out of 5 eggsA product that works

Pros: What can I say, the product works! I bought this product for my ati 9600 pro video card. I was playing FF XI at the time when all of a sudden my system would freeze up and give the Blue screen. At first I had no idea what the problem was, but after a little problem solving I saw that the fan that was on my video card would stop spinning.
So I bought this product to replace it, and I haven’t had one problem since. Great product very simple to install.
Anyone who is a gamer who knows that it is the video card that is making your system crash would be able to install with little to no problems.

Cons: none, as of yet.

Other Thoughts: Had the thing installed for 5 months now. With heavy use.

5 out of 5 eggsNice replacement

Pros: Very quiet, keeps card extremely cooler than stock heatsink/fan.

Cons: approximately 1 cm to short to meet up with back of tower.

Other Thoughts: Still vents well though....

4 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: Easy install, fits snugly on my Radeon x800 AIW. This fan is much, much quieter than the stock cooler that came with my x800. Comes with thermal paste already on the cooler.

Cons: The exhaust doesn't quite meet up with the back of the case as others have stated, but perhaps it was designed that way <shrug>. A bit bulky but I've come to expect that from GPU coolers.

Other Thoughts: The reason I didn't give this 5 eggs is because there was no cooling improvement. The stock temperatures on my x800 were 41 idle/65 load (degrees Celcius) and the Arctic Cooling temps were 38/66. So if you have a Radeon x800 AIW, this cooler appears to have about the same cooling performance as the stock unit. Of course, the difference is that the Arctic Cooling one doesn't sound like a hairdryer on high when the chip gets hot. So if you're looking for a nice quiet replacement GPU cooler, this one is a great choice, but if you're looking for improved cooling performance for overclocking, well, there's probably better choices out there for the x800.
