Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2 is a high performance CPU cooler for Intel and AMD. The heatsink features 6 heatpipes and 42 fins for efficient heat dissipation. Thanks to the vibration absorption the fan is whisper-quiet even at full load.

  • newegg Efficient Cooling Featuring a 92 mm PWM fan and 6 heatpipes, the Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 offers performance far beyond stock coolers and achieves 130 Watts cooling capacity. The unique heatsink design consists of 42 fins, which significantly enhances the heat dissipation performance.
  • newegg Minimum of Noise Due to the low noise impeller and the fan holder, the 92 mm fan of the Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2 generates only 0.8 Sone at 2,500 rpm, which is extremely quiet for such performance. Controlled by PWM signal, the fan runs just the necessary speed at lowest noise level for maximum cooling capacity.
  • newegg Easy Installation The unique mounting system via push pins offers excellent stability and is applicable within a few seconds. The pre-applied ARCTIC MX-2 thermal compound makes the installation a quick and clean process.
  • newegg Wide Compatibility With the flexible mounting design, the Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2 is compatible with Intel Socket 1366, 1156, 1155 and 775 as well as AMD Socket AM3, AM2+, AM2, 939 and 754.

5 out of 5 eggsThis Fan Delivers....

Pros: Very quiet, and brings CPU temp down by 25 degrees

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I had bought this not-so-lil' guy to replace a competitors fan that was sending my Quadcore 9750B temp up to 70 deg C. This thing brought the temp down to 40 degs without half trying...and cost $15 less than the competitor's fan. And is a darn sight quieter. I will now buy Arctic Pro only for all my future CPU needs..

2 out of 5 eggsProbably Don't Buy

Pros: Bought this cpu fan to replace the really loud stock fan on my AMD 8320 CPU. This fan is much quieter except for the extremely high pitched whine. It drives me and the dogs crazy. It keeps the CPU cool, but don't buy it if you can hear high frequencies (If you're deaf, go ahead)

Cons: Really annoying high pitched whine.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy install, works great (Socket 1336)

Pros: Easy installation, much better than stock cooler.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I have had my Socket 1366 (ASRock x58 Supercomputer/Core i7 920 CPU) system for six years and it has been great, but the stock cooler has been giving up the ghost. I noticed about six months ago I was idling around 65 Celsius, and recently I've been in the 90s when busy. So I knew I'd need a new cooler. Problem is last time I tried one I nearly broke the mobo because I could not get the bolts to latch in the four mount holes around the socket. Needless to say, even though I've been building computers since the 90's processor cooler installation is always my least favorite part. Maybe my hands shake too much. Maybe I just haven't had the best luck with it. Either way I usually hate it.

This cooler is the easiest I have ever used. There's literally only two screws you have to bolt down, the rest of it are plastic bolts to put in. Thermal paste is included on the cooler and many want to clean it off and provide better paste or different brand, I used the paste that is applied. Now that it is installed I idle at or around 40 Celsius and peak just below 50 Celsius. Quick, inexpensive, easy fix. Took me less than 45 minutes to remove old stock cooler, remove old thermal paste from CPU, and install new cooler.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet and Cool.

Pros: Keeps CPU cool (AMD FX 4350) even at overclock the temps reach 48°C and stays there.

Cons: For AMD users. The fan will only be able to face straight up or down. And if you have a mid size ATX motherboard chances are when you install this cooler you wont be able to fit the first RAM stick because the heat sink is in the way!!!

Other Thoughts: My main Issue with this heatsink is that it blocks the first RAM slot!!

5 out of 5 eggsA most excellent cooler for the price

Pros: Fairly compact, very good cooling, quiet, great bang for the buck. Significant improvement over stock AMD cooler. Large surface area on Cu block makes for very good heat transfer from CPU. Easy to install with mobo in case.

Cons: Fins are sharp, watch out!

Other Thoughts: This is my 3rd build with one of these. Fits nicely on GA-990FX-UD3 mobo. Good clearance inside Rosewill Challenger mid-tower case. Your case needs proper cooling for a CPU cooler to do its job. Had one of these installed in an older case with inadequate fans & venting, CPU still ran hot because the heat had nowhere to go. Changed to Rosewill Challenger case, problem solved! CPU fan blowing up is OK for me because Challenger case has a top fan.

4 out of 5 eggsGet's the job done

Pros: It's cheap and a great alternative to your stock CPU cooler. I'm using it with my A10-7850K APU (at stock) and it never goes above 30C at full load.

Cons: The cooler isn't oriented correctly. The fan points towards the top or bottom (depending on how you mount it) of your case, instead of pointing towards the front or back of your case. CPU coolers should be manufactured in a way that the fan can always point towards the back of the case, allowing the rear fan of your case to pull air from the CPU cooler as the CPU fan pushes air through the heat sink and out of the back of the case. I don't understand why they designed it this way, but they should make a design change in the next revision.

Other Thoughts: I haven't tested this with an overclocked CPU/APU so I can't comment on how it would perform under those conditions. When my computer is in idle mode, my APU actually idles at -2C, but I will say that the computer is located in a home office in the basement, where the room temperature averages 68F.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely incredible

Pros: Cooling capabilities
Price
Quietness
Looks
This thing is amazing, I'm using on my AMD FX-8310 and it installed pretty easy, bracket was a little challenging but overall not bad.

I just tested it by encoding a Blu Ray in Handbrake and it was going for 1.5 hrs straight with all 8 cores at 95-100% and the CPU temp was only at 29 degrees Celsius which is amazing!!!

This thing is silent too, I'm very happy with this for my first PC build and it was only $20 on sale and came with the thermal compound already applied.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: You can't go wrong with this, highly recommended

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, Efficient, Effective

Pros: It blows... quietly and well. No issues with the product... wish Intel and AMD would contract with fan/heat sink groups much like GPU vendors do instead of wasting resources with the provisional junk in the box which they provide.

Cons: It doesn't have an extreme ON option to self clean all the dust bunnies which eventually build up over time. hahah

Other Thoughts: As good as an air cool can be for the money.
