3 out of 5 eggsIt was ok

Pros: Kept A8-5600K cpu more cool then stock cooler. It is quiet. Heatsink itself was good, it managed to cool the cpu even while the fan was dead. It was very close to being to tall for my case that is 185.42mm.

Cons: I had it for 3 months. The fan died in the end. It was moving slightly but was not spinning even after I gave it a push and it was getting hot in the center. It was difficult to install and was missing a screw.

Other Thoughts: It took me 3 or 4 days to figure that the fan died. I finally looked at it after my games were freezing. The load was finally causing temperatures to get too high.

5 out of 5 eggsVery quiet idle, close to competition

Pros: The PWM fan's minimum speed is around 150 RPM, which means pretty much inaudible idle. I have a Noctua NH-U14S in another system and they sound the same when idle, that is it's inaudible to me. At this price point its competition is something like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. If you look at TechPowerUp's review, you'll see that compared to the Hyper 212 Evo, it idles quieter, its load temperatures are 2 or 1 degrees hotter, it's slimmer, and it's 90g lighter.

Cons: When the fan speeds up it's got some tonality, but probably most of them do. I'm just comparing it to the NH-U14S, which has a NF-A15 PWM fan on it, which is one of the best sounding fans available. Of course the Dragonfly 4 doesn't let me overclock as far as the NH-U14S, but that isn't its competition.

Other Thoughts: This was actually too tall for my case, some OEM M-ATX case that I didn't bother to measure since I never thought I'd experience this, so I tested it with the side panel off.
