2 out of 5 eggsEqual to or slightly worse than OEM

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Running about 4 degrees warmer than with original processor fan. Louder than OEM fan. Sticker is pretty ugly in illuminated case.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for a 3 year old i3 based computer that I refurbished. After testing I wound up leaving the original fan in. Tabs to insert it were wonky. It would seem like it was locked in, then when I gave it a tug it would fall out. If your fan is your computer is dead, this is a reasonably priced replacement, not by any means an upgrade.

4 out of 5 eggsNot terrible

Pros: It's fairly Cheap
It cools a CPU
I don't hear it

Cons: The pins that hold it on the MB are hard to attach. They operate in a counter intuitive manner. I spent more time trying to get this thing seated than I spent assembling the rest of the rig, installing an OS and configuring everything combined.

Other Thoughts: My PSU sits directly on top of the fan (not the cooler's fault). It still cools fine with half of it covered up completely.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the price.

Pros: Fan runs very quiet. Plenty of metal to help disperse the heat. It's approximately twice the height of the heatsink/fan that came with my Intel i5 processor.

Cons: Doesnt' have thermal paste on the heatsink, but does include a packet of it to apply yourself. The pins that attach it to the mobo were difficult to insert into the mobo. Maybe if I didn't have a miniATX mobo it might have been easier with more room.

Other Thoughts: I think it's worth the $20 I paid for it. Looks nice. If only it had a green fan to match the rest of my fans. :-)

1 out of 5 eggsloud

Pros: keeps the CPU cool

Cons: the loudest thing in the room. When this thing is running it is a constant hum. Replaced with the stock cooler and problem solved. Too late to RMA

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Keeps CPU from burning up
Small

Cons: Constant electrical whine unless you have fan speed maxed. (Very annoying)
Doesn't perform as well as stock intel sink.
Expensive for performance.

Other Thoughts: Stay with stock or look elsewhere, this thing isn't worth your money.

3 out of 5 eggsCheap but works

Pros: It works,

Cons: The clips to hold this in place suck. Metal screws would have been better. Instead, there is plastic twist-ins that were difficult to work. In such a sensitive area having a smoother set up would have been nice. It also came with no instructions on how to screw these in, which while it wasn't difficult to figure out, it would have been nice to have SOMETHING.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap
1150 compatible
White fan
nice heatsink
somewhat quiet

Cons: Cheap thermal compound
Be sure to buy new grease
Mounting pins are scary
Would not recommend for OCing

Other Thoughts: This fan is a nice budget fan for a simple build
Everything is fine for what im building, just a simple PC

Only real negative was the pins for mounting to the Mobo
just be VERY careful when installing

1 out of 5 eggsMakes terrible whining noise

Pros: CPU is running at safe temperatures even under highest loads

Cons: Must run at 100% RPM to prevent terrible whining noise. It's a choice between a piercing, high-pitched sound, and a huge whirring of the fan at high speed. Audio mixing is not possible with this thing in the room.

Other Thoughts: Now on the lookout for a replacement, but all the good fans tend to be these massive things that won't fit in my case.

1 out of 5 eggsHeat sink doesn't make contact with processor.

Pros: Probably would be a good heat sink.

Cons: The heatsink is only making partial contact with the processor no matter how well I put it in. It's not absorbing the heat properly, making the CPU temp skyrocket.

I have to buy another heatsink now. Ugh.

5 out of 5 eggsWhite Blades

Pros: Runs quietly from 800 to 2100 RPM, without vibration. Price is right, good value along with great performance.

Cons: Nothing that shows up to me.

Other Thoughts: The white blades spinning in the light show nicely. Wonderful fan good for likely 140 watts of CPU power.
