2 out of 5 eggsEarly death

Pros: Worked pretty well when it did to cool off a 3Ware RAID card.

Cons: Died after four months. The machine ran 24/7.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected 2 !!

Pros: See my previous review.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought a second one and hooked it up to my Scythe fan controller. I highly recommend using a fan controller with these to cut the noise, while at the same time, move a decent amount of air out the case. Without the controller, these things run at about 4000 RPM which is ridiculous.

I'm running two in my HTPC with the Scythe controller and I can barely hear them.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected!!

Pros: Solid build.
Can be connected to a 3 pin fan controller.
Detachable power cable.
Moves air out the computer.
Quiet.......with a controller.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Using the Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller, I was able to get quiet along with a nice cooling solution. With the Scythe, the fan can run at 4000 RPM on high. I toned it down to 1500 to 2000 RPM.

I believe that this cooler was made to be used with a fan controller, thus the 3 pin cable. Hopefully people will find a way to use this cooler correctly, because it's a nice well built product that can run very quiet, if controlled.

4 out of 5 eggsCool Blue!

Pros: Great fan for the price! No speed control, but it does move alot of air. I prefer the Vantec for moving air, but this exhaust's the air out the back, so I ended up with both in one computer. The Vantec to take air away from the video card and the Syba to remove the heat from the case.

Cons: I had to force it up while putting the screw in the PCI cover holder so it would not sag from it's own weight once it was installed, but it worked just fine.

Other Thoughts: The Blue color matches my other fans that are lite with blue so it looks like it really came OEM.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!!!

Pros: Cooled my ASUS P5Q3 down 15 degrees C and kept it from overheating while playing AVP for over an hour! This also made my running temperature on the CPU drop by 10 degrees. This is pretty quiet as well; especially compared to my SILVERSTONE FM121 120mm Case Fan which is very loud! I would recommend this fan to anyone having issues with overheating due to the graphics card.

Cons: Flimsy looking but sturdy if mounted properly.

Other Thoughts: I mounted this about 2 inches below my HIS 1 GB Radeon 4890 which is right over the temperature sensor on the P5Q3. This Fan moves a lot of air from both top and bottom out the back of the case- which is great. I really needed this to cool down the MB and it did the trick.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Kept the case cool. Actually I was getting constant shutdowns due to heat in my mini ITX case until I installed this fan. This kept it cool, even through a 2 1/2 hour blue ray movie

Cons: it is LOUD! I think my vacuum makes less noise than this thing.

Other Thoughts: Definitely not for small areas. If you install this, I would plan to have your unit in a cabinet or far away or the fan noise will be a distraction.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Does what it is supposed to do. Cheap. Easy install.

Cons: Noise, although that was partially expected. My machine already runs fairly loud, and this certainly added to it. But if noise isn't that much of an issue, this is definitely worth it.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Moves a lot of air and feeds in air from two different directions. My GPU pushes air onto it and directs towards the back of the GPU. Since this fan is extended, it pulls the air from the back of the GPU and feeds it directly to the outside of the case. Reduces the GPU temperature by about 5C to 10C.

Cons: It is loud. It is the loudest thing in my Dell 4600 by far. It doesn't bother much because it drops the temperature of my GPU but worth noting. Adding fan modulator would help out greatly with the noise. Takes up a the full PCI space because of the casing.

Other Thoughts: This is a great fan if you need a fan for the PCI slot. Would have 5 stars if it wasn't so loud.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed within 4 months

Pros: The fan was effective at cooling the GPU and case until it failed.

Cons: The fan stopped working within 4 months.

Other Thoughts: Buy a different fan, not this one.
