More power! That’s the cry of case modders and tweakers across the land. With that power comes more heat, generated by drives, CPUs, GPUs, sound cards and RAM. To deal with all that heat, various solutions have been developed, and one of these is the heatsink. Here, Rosewill combines a heatsink setup of six pure copper heatpipes, 52 aluminum fins, and a huge 3.6” fan to keep you cool even in the hottest gaming action. If you like to show things off, you can light it up with 4 blue LEDs to show off its cooling power.
This amazing unit runs at nearly 61cfm, and at only 18-37dB(A). It supports Intel’s PWM, or you can control the performance directly with Rosewill’s special fan controller. It’s compatible with LGA 775 Dual Core, LGA 775, AMD Athlon 64 socket 754, 939 and 940 motherboards, and comes backed with Rosewill’s reputation for solid construction and reliability. Chill out and get yourself the Rosewill RCX-Z3!

Worth Every Penny
- Pros: Copper Pipes, Lots of Aluminum Fins and a 92mm Fan. Keeps my Core 2 Duo e6400 running cool. Very Cool. I am yet to get a reading higher than 48c. I have run BF, Photoshop CS2 and T.C's Vegas. In the background I've had some of that anti-virus stuff going too. Its pretty darn quiet too.
- Cons: None. It is a Tank of a H/S though, but this is not worth knocking it.
- Other Thoughts: Guess what you hardcore critics: If you blast ANY H/S and Fan to the max it will be loud. No Exceptions. Anything going at 3000rpm will emit noise. Weird huh?
Wow!
- Pros: Massive cooling! Good fan speed range. It's nearly silent when at low speed but is quite loud at full throttle--but also does a HUGE amount of cooling. My Sempron 3000+ runs at 79F (overkill I know). The rear fan control is a nice touch. The installation was REALLY easy on my 939 board and seems solid.
- Cons: Huge! Doesn't interfere with capacitors or anything since it's relatively narrow at the bottom, but it is really tall. It is installed in a mid-sized case and is really difficult to work in now. The motherboard screws took some work!
- Other Thoughts: Overall, excellent build quality, clear instructions, fully featured and built for overclocking.

Good fan, better customer service!
- Pros: Fan keeps my Q6600 chill. I'm OC.g it to 3 GHz and holds at ~53 degrees C on a full load. Good design and great price.
I had lost my bracket for this CPU fan months ago in a move. While building my computer back up I couldn't find the bracket. I asked Rosewill if I could buy a replacement one since I spent $50 for the fan already. They went ahead and shipped me the complete box (without the fan of course) which included all the mounting hardware, they paid over $18 in shipping alone out of courtesy, how cool is that! And they didn't charge me for the bracket or mounting hardware either.
- Cons: zilch
- Other Thoughts: It's hard to find companies that take care of their customes like this anymore. Rosewill rocks!
Easy to install heatsink.
- Pros: This was the first heatsink I have installed. It was very easy to install, although I had to dremel away 1/4" of the mounting bracket on one end. I have a Compaq Presario AMD 64 and did not have to remove the mother board. It is very quiet, which was one of the reason I chose a larger heatsink than I really needed. It is so quiet that I can hear the hard drive every now and then. Very impressed with purchasing from Newegg. If I had a case that would allow for viewing the lights, it would be quite pretty given the heatsink is blue and the power supply is red.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: Looking forward to purchasing more items from Newegg.
w000ttt
- Pros: it looks awesome at night, it was quite simple to install, it fits perfect on my intel motherboard LGA 775.
- Cons: doesn't dance :(
- Other Thoughts: it is better not to have it working at its maximum potential all the time, otherwise the thermal paste will be dissipated by the heat. Try to keep it in the middle.
