5 out of 5 eggsFANTATIC

Pros: I have 3 of these and they do work on AMD the fact that you can use on all M.B. is what sold me. Yes the pins are really cheap and can break if you don't know what your doing. NEVER put an Intel Fan on when the M.B. is in take the Board out and install the fan saves a lot problems. Unless your good at it I don't seem to be hate these clips stone age design.

Cons: The only Con is the AMD is a real Pain you have to slide the clip in and make sure the 2 metal bottoms are resting in the 2 grooves or it won't lock in.

Other Thoughts: Put the fan on before you put the M.B. in the case saves a ton of trouble. Be sure to lay the board on the plastic bag when you do so you don't get electric static.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Cooler For The Price

Pros: - Cooler than stock (my i5-3450 idles around 35C-37C

- Doesn't require a support back plate (so you won't have to remove the motherboard from the case)

- For 1155, installs in similar fashion like the stock heatsink

- Great price (bought mine on sale)

Cons: - Don't expect miracles; it isn't a premium CPU cooler

- Because this fits multiple sockets, you have to be careful that you have the legs/supports in the correct position before attempting to install.

- This cooler is tall...be careful if you have a smaller case

Other Thoughts: I don't overclock and run my system in a mid-tower case. This CPU cooler is the perfect choice for me. It was cheap but keeps everything nice and cool without issue. The temperatures never break 70C under full load, so I'm comfortable with the performance. Overall, this was a great bargain for me.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Keeps my CPU cool: AMD A10 6800k idles at 35°C and never exceeds 60°C on load - about 52°C using a Dolphin Emulator and 57°C playing Saints Row 4 on maximum settings.

Not very loud, and the sound it makes when it reaches high RPM isn't annoying like most fans (no high-frequency pitches, grinding, or squeaking sounds.)

Cons: Pretty annoying to install to an FM2-socket motherboard: it's like a see-saw method - one clip goes on one side while the other side remains suspended, and you reach between the radiator and heat sink to attach the other clip while trying your hardest not to smudge the thermal compound all over the place.

Other Thoughts: When I contacted customer support they were very kind and understanding.

4 out of 5 eggsTough to install, but works great

Pros: Runs silent and cool.

Cons: Depending on what type of mount your motherboard/cpu has this is tough to install. Huge.

Other Thoughts: Installation for my AMD3+ socket was challenging. Would have been easier if I had been born with an extra hand. In the end though, I did get it installed and it runs great.

Be sure your case has enough room, as this is a large monstrosity.

1 out of 5 eggsjunk - get what you pay for, AVOID

Pros: the "egg" got it to me super fast..
cost was decent.. thats where the pros end
this got one egg only because newegg got it to me fast..

Cons: I've probably installed 100's of cpu coolers in the last 20 odd years.. the 4 retention studs went in easy, but the minute I gently rotated them CLOCKWISE. 2 broke.. the barbs that go thru the main board sheared right off...
yes they were all in properly.. no I did not brute force turn them, I know better
cheap chinese plastic!!
return it? refund? trash can is the appropriate place for this pile of junk.. I don't want another, maybe a refund, but I'd still be out shipping costs just to return it... not cost effective. ended up buying a CM like I should have in the beginning, I'll just eat the cost on this build...

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quiet and efficient. Good choice for non to mild overclockers.

Cons: Plastic clips can break easily. I like the idea of quick removal they offer, but I wish they'd be tougher.

4 out of 5 eggsexcellent

Pros: this is my first heat pipe designed cooler. I'm pleased. It was inexpensive, easy to install, lightweight and quiet.

this cooler seems better for the AMD side of the tracks, you don't have to mess with the plugs for Intel. Installed this for my amd apu richland on an msi board. took about 8 minutes.

includes thermal compound. it is quiet probably a notch above liquid cooling which is my next upgrade.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: quieter fan than the cougar vortex fan I was using

3 out of 5 eggsCools well but . . .

Pros: This is a fairly large cooler and seems well-built.

Cons: The Intel push pin design is atrocious. Use extreme caution during installation or you will bend/break the plastic pins. Also, this item took over a week from order to delivery.
