5 out of 5 eggsWell-Performing

Pros: This fan cools the CPU quite well. Installation was a snap.

Cons: Noisy

Other Thoughts: Although it was installed with a 3rd-party thermal grease and not with the included paste, this item did lower the CPU's temperature quite dramatically vs. how hot it had been running previously with the OEM cooler and fan.

3 out of 5 eggsworks noisy

Pros: it dose what it say

Cons: very noisy

Other Thoughts: after i purchased 2 of these for Intel Core i3-4130T 35w processor in a htpc that's on all the time , everything is fanless but the cpu

this cooler is so noisy worse then the intel cooler. this heatsink is able to keep the cpu cooler then the intel heatsink but with lots of noise

i tried a few low profile heatsinks that either didn't cool well or are noisy. i regretted buying new heatsinks

i found 2 Intel heatsinks for i5 4 core cpu 95w 1156 the heatsink fits perfect fact the pins slipped right into the holes and use then there completely silent even with fan on high and cool one degree better then this one.

what a waste of time and money

why i need a better heatsink with a 35w cpu well bf3 runs with out freezes and glitches with the better heatsink
games
mini itx cases are not the best air flow need a good heatsink

3 out of 5 eggsNoisy!

Pros: Effective cooler

Cons: Noisy! There is no way the manufactures db ratings are accurate. I switched to a Cool Master 212 Evo.

5 out of 5 eggs3 years going strong

Pros: +Holds up over time
+Effective cooling
+Better than Intel's fans
+Quiet below about 75%
+Excellent value

Cons: -Loud above about 75% speed

Other Thoughts: I've been using this fan on my overclocked Core i5-2500K (4.3GHz) since 2011, and it keeps going strong, keeping the CPU chilled to low 20s at idle and 50s at max load. I have absolutely no complaints about this fan given the price and quality. If you're looking for a silent CPU fan, you may want to look elsewhere, however.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap connectors

Pros: This was a replacement for a factory heatsink where the plastic brackets had broken. It was inexpensive compared to what you pay for other similar coolers.

Cons: You get what you pay for. The list plastic tabs that are supposed to hold this heavy metal contraption to the motherboard broke as soon as I turned the tab to lock it in place. Only one of the four tabs actually snapped into place and worked as it was supposed to.

Other Thoughts: If they had spent 50 cents more and used real metal screws instead of cheap plastic tabs, this would have been a 5 star review. As it was, I had to remove the broken plastic tabs, go to the hardware store, buy four 5/8" M3 .50 screws and washers, and attach the heatsink to the existing metal bracket under the motherboard. Once I did that, it worked great! Otherwise, it would have been an RMA, and my friend would be without a computer right now.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Cooler

Pros: Fits easily in my case. Fins are about 3 to 4 times taller than the Intel standard cooler. Seems to run well. Comes with some paste on the bottom of the cooler.

Cons: PITB to get it attached to the mobo (though assume this might be common to all coolers)

Other Thoughts: While it does have some paste on bottom, you'll need a bit more than they give you.

3 out of 5 eggsGood cheap cooler

Pros: Nice and cheap and gets the job done. Fairly quiet.

Cons: One of the peg braces snapped when I was trying to get the fan installed. I was worried I broke it, but it seemed like I was able to secure it.

Other Thoughts: I bought this in hopes of getting a fan better than the fan that comes with the CPU. I'm not sure that it's really that much of an improvement. Definitely good for a replacement though

2 out of 5 eggsCheap fan blades

Pros: Cheap, copper core, comes with thermal paste all ready applied.

Cons: Fan blades are really cheaply made, one broke on me the first day, looked like it had a hairline fracture in it. I turned it on and in minutes started clicking then fan blade broke off. Pegs that go into the mobo are very fragile feeling.

Other Thoughts: Just spend the extra 10$ and get a good one. The only good thing about the fan was how easy it was to get off so i could put a new one on after the fan blade broke.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap and works

Pros: It's cheap. Has 4-pin connector. Copper base. Works with multiple sockets. Cools better than the factory Intel unit.

Cons: Would like to see a version with a ball bearing cooler rather than a sleeve bearing. But for the price it wasn't worth taking an egg off.
