4 out of 5 eggsGreat, but oops

Pros: Probably a great CPU cooler for this cheap price. Great quality.

Cons: As advertised, it says it can be mounted to a LGA 1150 socket. IT CANNOT AND DOES NOT. Made that mistake and I don't have a CPU cooler that can mount to my motherboard ASUS Z87 with Intel i5-2670K.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler for the cost!

Pros: -Great performance for the price.
-Quiet fan.
-Compatible with many different socket types.
-Able to keep a moderate overclock perfectly cool.
The AIOLOS Plus is a pretty good cooling system for what it costs. The included fan is nice and quiet; I couldn’t hear it at all over my case fans with normal use. I could just barely hear it when I ran the stress test. So, volume was great. The installation process is fairly straight forward and very easy to understand.
This cooler with included thermal paste on an i5 2500K: (The stress tests were the highest temp after 45 minutes of prime 95)
Stock speeds:
-Idle: 27 degrees Celsius.
-Stress: 53 degrees Celsius
Overclocked to 4 GHz:
-Idle: 27 degrees Celsius
-Stress: 64 degrees Celsius
Overclocked to 4.5GHz
-Idle: 28 degrees Celsius
-Stress: 74 degrees Celsius

Cons: -Installation can be time consuming
-A bit tall, make sure it will fit in your case
-No really major cons come to mind
The only real con I can come up with this is the installation. While it is easy to understand, actual execution of it can be difficult. If you don’t have a cut out for the back of your motherboard in your case then you will have to remove your motherboard completely to change it out (though that is the case with many aftermarket CPU coolers). Beyond that, it has nothing to hold the backplate in place, and since I didn’t want to remove my motherboard completely this meant I had to hold a hand under it while putting on the cooler and making sure that I didn’t smear the thermal paste badly and then screw it down all at once… maybe I should have asked for assistance? Overall, the installation isn’t too bad, it would probably be easiest to just remove the whole motherboard (which if it’s a new build you wouldn’t have to worry about that), I was just trying to save some time.

Other Thoughts: This is a great buy for what it costs. I would highly recommend this CPU cooler. It does an amazing job. I did some comparisons to the Intel stock cooler and a Hyper 212 EVO. I also tested with my normal thermal paste vs the included paste. All comparison tests were done at 4 GHz. In order of performance, here are the results:
Hyper 212 EVO:
-Idle: 26 degrees Celsius
-Stress: 59 degrees Celsius
AIOLOS Plus (with my normal thermal paste):
-Idle: 27 degrees Celsius
-Stress: 63 degrees Celsius
AIOLOS Plus (with included thermal paste):
Idle: 27 degrees Celsius
Stress: 64 degrees Celsius
Intel Stock Cooler:
Idle: 30 degrees Celsius
Stress: 89 degrees Celsius (I really should have known to watch this one, because I was not happy about this temp when I came back to my computer and saw it; I blame my cat)

Keep in mind this is a lower cost than the cooler that out-performs it. This cooler is a great value! I highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible Improvement, but some issues

Pros: Very powerful
Quieter than my stock fan
Whereas my stock fan would run about 70C under the stresses I put it under, this kept below 35 C with the same stress
I used to idle at 30C, now I idle at 20C

Cons: AMD mounting bracket can be a little tricky if you aren't taking the motherboard out of the case
A little taller than I expected. I used previous comments' guidelines, but it still nudges against the side of my case, and I had to move a case fan to a different slot

Other Thoughts: For the price, you really can't do a whole lot better. I'd suggest this to anyone doing a build with a processor exceeding 120 watts.

3 out of 5 eggsPlastic?

Pros: Great design overall see cons. Purchased for client, not me.

Cons: The Fan is held in place by plastic...literally...there are 4 plastic "prongs" that slide into the heat sink and then you pull them through the fan mount hols and they pressure set. They are not clipped in place or anything...they just use pressure to stay in place. This is not what I expected at all. Normally these types of heat sinks will have clip on brackets which are far superior...I would not purchase this part again.

Other Thoughts: Overall if you need a low cost cooling solution then this will do just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Fan Easy To Install

Pros: I've built three previous computers here at NewEgg. The last build lasted for four years. All three had stock cpu coolers. This one did not. I was concerned.

I shouldn't have been. The video made it easy. Just remember to remove the plastic protector on the bottom where the heat sink pipes make contact with the cpu.

I did this right away but awoke the next morning worried that I hadn't. Wished I'd have placed it somewhere obvious but it was buried beneath instructions and boxes.

No worries though. My cpu is running cool.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsHigh quality cooler for a good price.

Pros: I replaced my existing cooler (a CM V8) that had been in my case since 2011 with this kit. The specs on the two kits are similar, with each one having aluminum fins, 8 copper pipes, and a 120mm fan. I expected similar performance, and I was right. I took the OC off for testing on my 1st Gen i7 920. With the original cooler at idle using stock settings, I idled at 38c and maxed at 51c (4 threads of Prime 95 blend, no Hyper Threading). With this cooler, I idled at 38c and maxed at 52c. Considering that I paid nearly double for my original cooler, I would say this is an excellent deal. It is worth noting that this was tested in an Antec 1200 case that has 5 120mm fans in it along with a 200mm fan, so there is plenty of airflow around the CPU.
The Rosewill ROCC-13001 is well-made and nicely packed, especially for the price. I like the shiny black finish on the fan. It comes with instructions and parts for installing it on a wide-variety of socket types. It also comes with paste, but I opted to use my Artic Silver 5 for installation. The rubber fan mounts help to keep noise to a minimum.

Cons: None for this price. Just make sure it will fit in your case because it is tall.

Other Thoughts: I had to take out my motherboard to install the back plate, but that is not a con that is specific to this unit. It’s a necessary evil, especially with kits like this that are compatible with so many socket types. It took me a little while to figure out how to adjust the kit for socket 1366, but once I did installation was straightforward.

5 out of 5 eggsWell Built - Solid Performance

Pros: I did a direct comparison of this heatsink with my COOLER MASTER Hyper 212. There are very few differences, starting with the fact that the Rosewill has a larger heatsink, not by much, but it does have a bit more volume.
The heat-pipes are identical, and the quality of the build is excellent, I could not see any manufacturing defects or parts that were not built with good quality..
The fan was very easy to install, everything just snaps right into place and actually stays in place.
Temperatures for an AMD FX Series were in the 20s°C or 70s°F which is a great temperature to be at on idle. On Full load it barely reached 30°C or 86°F.
This heatsink is highly recommended; it is well built, affordable and also very quiet.

Cons: 1. A bit difficult to install for AMD Chips - it's not difficult, just a bit hard to reach the old fashioned clips.

2. Review the Dimensions before purchasing, it's possible it may not fit in smaller cases.

3. Supports only one 120 MM fan. In most cases this is more than enough, but people very serious about cooling their CPUs may want two fans installed (front, rear) just like the COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 supports. Again, not a major issue considering even with one Fan this Heatsink performed well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat 120mm Heatsink

Pros: Fairly quiet fan, at least on par or quieter than the stock ones in my previous highly rated 120mm heatsinks.
4pin PWM fan
Cools an average i5 2500k OC safely
Temperatures well below stock intel HSF
Does not interfere with RAM on my board like my previous heatsink, although it does make this a tad taller than my last one.
Install is straightforward, backplate > paste > HSF > pins/bracket > fan. What you see in most HSF installations on intel.
AMD installation is simple (even more so) as there is no backplate install.

Cons: Does not include extra mounting bracket (the rubber/plastic fan attachment) to allow a push-pull fan configuration. You'll be stuck with 1 fan on this heatsink.
Not really a con but you should make sure you have the space for this height-wise. This is a tall tower HSF and should fit in most mid or full towers but always be sure.

Other Thoughts: At 4ghz, temps were below what I was showing with intel's stock HSF, even at stock clocks. 4ghz with this HSF: 33c/59c with stock intel HSF @ stock clocks: 34c/62c
The thermal paste that comes with the HSF is decent, for normal use and mild OCs I don't see any need for changing pastes. The paste is easy to spread as well and wasn't clumpy, dry, sticky, (well it is a bit sticky, but not more than should be expected) and wasn't runny. Shouldn't be any issues applying this compound.

5 out of 5 eggsHigh quality product, great cooling performance!

Pros: I am using this heatsink to replace the stock one on my Core i5 3550. At stock frequencies, I saw temperatures drop from 35C idle/65C max to just 28C idle/50C max! That's not bad considering the ambient temperature in the room of this computer is about 75 F.

I am using this cooler in a case with 3x 120mm fans. The heatsink fan is very quiet and moves plenty of air. I had no trouble fitting it into the case, though I only have 2 sticks of RAM so I did not have to worry about anything being blocked. The 4 copper heat pipes sure seem to do the trick!

Also, thank goodness this heatsink ditches the stock Intel pins! This is so much easier to install and I am confident that I have even pressure and contact on the CPU now. I recommend you pair this with some good thermal compound like Artic Silver and always make sure you do not use too much thermal compound, as that can be just as bad or worse than not enough!

Cons: Not really a con, but this heatsink/fan is only compatible with Intel's more recent Core iSeries CPUs and motherboards. Unlike other options out there like the Arctic Cooler 212, this heatsink is not compatible with other Intel or AMD processors.

Other Thoughts: After installing this heatsink, I overclocked my processor to 4.2GHz and saw great temperatures of 32C idle/60C max, which is still plenty in the safe zone!
