4 out of 5 eggsPretty lights

Pros: Pretty Blue lights, solid quality feel. very quiet when RPMs are managed. No external RPM control.

Cons: No cooling improvement over Stock AMD fx-62 Fan/Heat sink, 30c idle, 55c load. Install is more complicated than it needs to be. Requires motherboard removal. Takes alot of pressure on the MB to install spring loaded screws. Also had some capacitor clearance issues with ASUS M2N-Sli MB. Directions dont match diagrams or parts descriptions.
Can be loud at full RPMs, since there is no external RPM control, be sure you have Bios or software control if noise is an issue.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad buy, but if You dont require pretty blue lights, stick with stock HS/Fan and save your CPU warranty.

AMD FX-62 2.8ghz not OCd, ASUS M2N-SLi deluxe, 4g Gskill DDR2,
Giga-Byte Poseidon chassis with stock 120mm fans, Asus EN7600gs silent, not Oc'd. Artic silver5 thermal paste.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great heatsink! It is very heavy and solid and keeps my oc'd 4400+x2 at about 35'c. The stainless steel design of the base and fins is very aesthetically pleasing. Being able to use just about any 80/90 fan is a good feature too. My favorite hsf to date!

Cons: My only complaint is that the entire hsf is secured by two spring-loaded screws. At first it felt unstable but that sucker isnt going anywhere. Just buy it!

5 out of 5 eggsAgree: Worth Every Penny

Pros: Fits perfectly in Lian Li G50 Case.
Agree with others on cooling. With the fan on low speed this heat sink is barely warm on an 2.4GHZ x2. Fit and finish is excellent.

Cons: Instruction sheet has a minor error. For the AM2 adapters you need to use the long mounting screws, not the short mounting screws. In my opinion you have a big "F beyond repair" risk trying to force the small mounting screws for no good reason.

Other Thoughts: Although this is a mundane item, the workmanship on it is very impressive. It's large thermal mass is a plus not a minus. So far everything I have bought from OCZ has been first rate.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth every penny

Pros: Heavy, quiet, upgradable fan base allows you to add any 90/92mm fan of your choosing, universal heatsink mounting allows you to keep this cooler when/if changing processor platforms/motherboards. Looks great too.

Cons: Price not competitive, for as heavy as this unit is (and heavy usually means quality) it actually didnt test as well as some cheaper models of similar design. OCZ is new to the PC cooling realm and this is their freshman project!

Other Thoughts: Personally, I beleive that the tests that were run on this bad-boy just didnt mesh well with its design. Most heatsinks of this type run the cooling fins vertically (up & down) while this unit runs horizontally, which is better imo because your rear PC exhaust fan sucks the heat straight away from it. I am in love with this cooler, keeping my Athlon 64 FX-62 @ 41'C loaded/overclocked to 3.2ghz. The stock fan looks great, although it could have moved some more air (the 30some cfm really isnt that great for a cpu fan, aim higher if your running overclocked or anything dual-core over 2.5ghz. All-in-all, this unit makes my "must have" list.

5 out of 5 eggsOCZ Tempest

Pros: Very simple install for socket 939, looked hard but it was very easy. Cools very well, the heat pipes are awesome!

Cons: No screws to hold the fan to the fan mount, other than that its a great cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsGood deal

Pros: Cools the processor down nicely (Gallatin core p4 extreme edition)

Comes with a fan clip that holds an 8cm or 9.2cm fan

Looks very nice, too.

Cons: I had to disassemble most of my computer to install it. Required work on the motherboard (in my case, ripping the Intel heatsink clip out with a set of tools). not something that takes an hour.

Other Thoughts: Will probably put custom fan on it but the ocz fan looks better than anticipated.
