1 out of 5 eggsDidn't fit LGA1366 at all, on ASUS P6T

Pros: Nice package

Cons: 1) didn't come with a bracket, nor i had one. so i had to run around hardware stores buying nuts and bolts to screw it down.
2)didn't fit because on my mobo (ASUS p6t), there are capacitors very close to cpu that are slightly higher than cpu, this prevented this heat sink to sit correctly. The heatsink would rest on capacitors instead of cpu, therfore being about 10% effective. So to workaround this, I had to take apart my old heatsink (that has edges raised and the middle sitting on cpu, thus being just correct for this motherboard), take off the fan and attach one heatsink on top of the other.

4 out of 5 eggsdoesnt fit intel DH57JG board

Pros: very well built of copper and aluminum. high quality screws.

Cons: I ordered it with the intel DH57JG mother board. thinking I could get away with no cpu fan. The mounting holes on the mother board are closer spaced together than the legs of this heatsink so it won't work for my 1 rack space computer.

Other Thoughts: sure wish it would fit! it's perfect! I may modify it anyway if i dont find the correct item.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't make my mistake...

Pros: NA
Luckly new egg let me return it with a 15% restocking fee even though it was covered under replacment only policy! Thanks for being flexible!

Cons: It has to be used in server cases with ducted airflow. I did not pay attention to that when I bought it.
It is expensive for a chunk of metal, which is not even 100% cooper.

Other Thoughts: Don't make the mistake as I did!
I brought this for a dual processor xeon system set up in a regular tower case with regular case fans. Unless you have the right type of set up for cooling it (ducted case, chassis blade system..) it is not going to cool. Cpu's will overheat after 15 min of load. Buy the other cooler from intel with the fan on it.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't throw this if you live in a glass house

Pros: Fits new 5500 series xeon CPUs
I like the screw style mounting, better than many of Intel's previous mounting designs.

Cons: heavy, expensive for a chunk of metal with minimal forming required.

Other Thoughts: Make sure to position the HS so that air flows through the fins, not blocked by them.
