5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Nice and big with a ton of cooling surface. Im running a
Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 Wolfdale 2.66GHz LGA 775 and it hasnt gone over 45C

Cons: BIG! if you have a small area to work with you might want something else.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for me

Pros: Q6600 highest temp so far has been 42 or 43 C

Cons: Installation was rough. Not the fault of the cooler though - it was the itel design that was to blame. Once I figured out how the pegs worked it was okay.

Other Thoughts: I am using the thermal grease that came already aplied to the unit.
I am not sure how loud the fan is as the one in the side of my case is much louder.

2 out of 5 eggsQuiet Fan , Bad installation instructions

Pros: Quiet

Cons: Really badly written almost non-existent instructions.

Resulted in a 90 minute installation requiring complete removl of mobo.

5 out of 5 eggsStill works great!

Pros: I'm posting this as a follow up to my first two reviews.

I bought this HSF about 18 months ago for a Pentium D 805 system for my wife. I recently had to pull the system apart to replace a motherboard after my wife decided to keep typing an IM to her sister in a thunderstorm. The heatsink/fan assembly came right off of the board. I swapped the CPU over and reinstalled the heatsink/fan using the original clips it came with and some inexpensive silicone CPU grease.

The original clips work great. The notoriously hot CPU runs at about 35 degrees and the heatsink fan doesn't squeal. I'm very happy with the money I spent on this even after nearly two years.

Cons: None, really. The heatsink hadn't even gathered much dust considering how long it has been running in the old-school Pentium 2 era ATX case.

Other Thoughts: I still get a giggle out of some of the reviewers on here claiming a "high understanding" who nonetheless can't figure out how to install the standard (albeit cheap) LGA775 press-in clips. They are also usually the ones who are having trouble with hot CPUs. Hmm... I see a trend there.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat cheap & quiet 4 pin HS

Pros: cheap, duh. quiet even full RPM, PWM controlled by 4 pin heatsink. Big but not gigantic. RPM near 700 idle Q6600. Clips so no pulling MB.

Cons: Clips take a little sence to install. Screws give better clamping but are a pain to pull MB every time CPU swapped.. No as BLING as Zalman $60 HS.. oh well

Other Thoughts: I've got like 8 spread across work, home and freind. It's my choice value solution to zero noise HS. Capable of handling 150W OC'd Quad2D

2 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: Low price, runs quite!

Cons: Didn't cool any better than the stock cooler with my Q6850. The bottom is rough and leaves room for air and I believe is the cause that it is not running cooler. The plastic clips are hard to get to and may cause you to bend a few fins getting that 4th clip in.

Other Thoughts: I'm looking for something better cause 49C idle is pretty hot.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's quiet and it works. If you're on a budget, but dislike the stock fan...buy this.

Cons: I spent 42$+ on a blue orb that ran 10c hotter and required me to relocate my PSU just to fit the huge 140mm size piece of junk. ---con is I didn't buy this sooner!!!@---

4 out of 5 eggsGreat budget cooler

Pros: Price/value, quiet operation

Cons: Could cool better, the base could be smoother. Push-pin mounting (a weakness of most Socket T coolers)

Other Thoughts: An excellent quiet budget cooler. The base could be smoother, but at least it's flat and makes decent contact with the CPU. I don't think you can do better for the price.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks flawless, VERY quiet and cool

Pros: Attractive design and a solid unit. Keeps my Q6600 extremely cool (approx 32-36* idle, never seen over 42* under load) and runs so quiet, I can't even tell it's on compared to the heatsink/fan I used to run on my old AMD64 setup. For the price, you'd be nuts not to go with this unit. Don't buy into the "brand hype"... you get your $$$ worth and more with this cooler.

Cons: My only real problems with this unit are that 1. I had to remove a case fan due to the size of this beast. However, I've been monitoring the temps in my case and I see no reason to need that fan anyway. 2. The clips used to secure it seemed a little flakey, but no problems yet (the reason I have it a 4 instead of 5)

Other Thoughts: For the price, you can't go wrong. This cooler is hands down, the best bang for the buck unit I've ever used. I'll probably use another for my other machine
