2 out of 5 eggsNot a great fan

Pros: It looks really nice, big and can spread a lot of heat

Cons: This thing runs hotter than my stock AMD HS/FAN by about 10 degrees celius.

I really don't know why, but my dad's PC runs cooler, It must be the case because this HS/FAN def. isnt working for mine, 3 eggs for 1 deg.s

Other Thoughts: Honestly might be a good HS/FAN, Maybe my case just doesnt flow enough air, even though I'm using 2 7200 RPM fans lol.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler

Pros: Price and ability to cool. running AMD Windsor 2.8ghz CPU (know for being Hot) oc'd to 3.2ghz. idles @ 39c loaded at 52c on evergreen for 8 hours

Cons: not so pretty and kinda big

Other Thoughts: of course using Artic Silver I build sys for friends and family, and freinds of friends and now friends of friends of family. I have used many different coolers over the last 3 years. I end up with this on my Son sys after the sys I got it for move away before I could install it. I have bought the big Z and TT neither did a noticeably better job yet cost twice as much. JMT cents. If you read this buy it

1 out of 5 eggsTERRIBLE!!!

Pros: none. got 50 cents value that's it.

Cons: This this is the worst product i have ever gotten from newegg so far. It's so cheaply built. I tried to install it but the lock pins are too poorly designed that it is impossible to lock to my motherboard. just ridiculous.

Other Thoughts: I got so mad that i threw it at the carpeted floor while sitting down. the entire thing blew up in pieces. there goes my rma -.-. DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Overclocking and keeping the computer quiet at the same time!!

Pros: It keeps my A64 3200+ 754 Venice in the upper 20s to low 30s at idle and the upper 30s to low 40s maxxed out!! Keep in mind, I have a 480MHz overclock on this CPU! I have bought one of these fore myself, one for a build, and another for a gift for my friend Tim who need something a lot better than a stock cooler to keep his A64 ClawHammer cool. These Perform outstanding for the price! My friend Tim lapped the base of his and the temps fell an additional 5+ degrees. One day when I was over there, he had the system open, so he unplugged the fan on his cooler and let his clawhammer rise to 50C and plugged the fan back in... the heat coming from the fins felt similar to that of an electric ceramic heater! The heatpipes perform very well! I will definitely buy more of these in the future!!! Highly Recommend

Cons: the base is not perfectly smoothed down, not really complaining b/c it's only $20

Other Thoughts: Performs in the 30-50 dollar range when the base is lapped down smoother. The thermal compound that comes on it works great as well, just smooth it out a little bit before installing it onto your CPU

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This thing is freaking huge but cools very well. Great for the price.

Cons: Graps a little tight.. i was almost worried about damaging my cpu.

Other Thoughts: This is my first time buying a new heatsink/fan so i made the newb mistake of buying one that points the fan vertically. Now my ported side vent on my case is going to waste. Buy this one if you have a case with a vent on the top of your case.. or else it'll blow hot air at your PSU or GPU.

5 out of 5 eggsthings' rockin

Pros: huge heatsink, sweet fan. keeps my AMD 2.5 dual core running cool. i havent taken the time to get temp readings, but theres nothing but cool air comming out of my case.
i have mine mounted so that the air gets blown toward the top of the case. with my Antec 900 case, the 200mm fan on top takes out the hot air from the heatsink. works fantastic!

Cons: had to squeeze my hands inside my case to mount the heatsink on the socket. because of its size, you will need to be extra careful when installing. also watch out for the sharp edges of the metal plates of the heatsink.

Other Thoughts: never go with stock heatsink and fan.
this is a nice cheap necessity. buy it!
