So far it's good
- Pros: So far this has performed beautifully. Fan is operating at proper speeds and at my slight OC the temps have dropped about 17 degrees Celsius. Now I'm up to 1.48 vCore and my max temps are ~45 - 46 with ambient temperature at 20.
- Cons: I haven't tried to get a rebate yet, so we'll see how that process goes. The fan speed controller won't fit through the slots in the back of my case, but I wasn't really planning on using it anyway.
- Other Thoughts: This is a HUGE heat sink. It does take a lot of pressure to snap the heat sink onto my AM3 mobo, but I suspect that most of the pressure is actually on the clips on the heat sink, as you basically have to bend the arms that the clips are attached to in order to get the clips over the brackets on the mobo. Also, for those of you who state it doesn't cool well, use more thermal grease. If you notice in the instructions, it says to use double the normal amount of thermal grease due to the "unique base design" however, I think it's because the base isn't smooth because of the way the copper heat rails simply have an aluminum base soldered between the tubes instead of having a truly flat contact pad, you end up with peaks that don't make good contact.
My system: Antec 900 Case Antec TPQ 850W PSU Asus Crosshair Formula III AMD Phenom II X4 Deneb 3.4Ghz (OC'd to 3.8Ghz on stock cooler) Mushkin 996657 (OC'd to 1633 @ 7-7-7-20-1T) 2x2GB Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 2x WD Raptor 1x WD Veloc
Decent for money
- Pros: Does a good job of keeping my overclocked Phenom II X2 550BE (all cored unlocked) cool. Relatively easy to install. Comes with good thermal compound.
- Cons: Could have come with a PWM fan. Can't mount second fan for a push/pull config.
- Other Thoughts: Bought this because the Cooler Master Hyper 212+ was out of stock. Only regret not being able to add a second fan without making a bracket.
If you have a motherboard that can control a PWM fan, do yourself a favor and pick one up.
Great heat sink
- Pros: Nice RPM rate, stays cool?
- Cons: A bit over-sized, would be nicer if brackets were a bit lower.
- Other Thoughts: This thing is fairly big. If you have a moderate sized gaming case, with a side-fan on the cover, you may have difficulties in shutting it. My side fan is about 1-1 1/2 inches thick and makes contact with the top of the heat sink, so I have to leave the back of the cover open just a bit, to avoid the side fan being pushed against the heat sink. Also, the brackets are really high up when you set this thing on your processor, so you REALLY have to push hard down to clip it in. Bit hesitant at first since i was installing my new quad, but I managed and it's working nice with it.

Introduction
Step up from your stock cooling fan and heatsink to the Sunbeam CR-CCTF. Supporting both Intel (LGA 775) and AMD (socket 754, 939, AM2) platforms, it will take care of your high-end processors. It has 4 large exposed 8mm pure copper heatpipes at its base which directly contact the CPU for highly efficient thermal conduction, plus the array of hi-grade aluminum fins and silent 120mm fan provide the cooling performance you need to keep your desktop running at its peak.
Easily install the included fan speed control into your case's PCI slot, and you can control the cooling performance and fan noise level anytime. It doesn't matter how much heat your CPU generate, you'll have trouble preventing it from getting frosty!
