4 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: - 3 speed switch
- cheap
- can be quiet

Cons: The speed switch cable is kind of short. At the highest setting it's too loud for my taste. The mid setting is too loud if you desire silent computer operation, but it's OK if you're watching moves/gaming.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my Antec ISK 300-150 case which already provides you one case fan with a speed switch and a mount on the case so you can adjust it at any time. I stuck this one next to the one provided, but discovered the speed switch cable wouldn't reach the mount. I had to take both case fans out, which required motherboard removal, and switch them around because the one provided (also an Antec fan) had a longer cable. The more electrical savvy may just make the cable longer. I think Antec should do that.

2 out of 5 eggs80 mm Case Fan

Pros: Runs silent at highest speed.

Cons: I had to drill out the mounting holes on the fan to get screws to fit. I would not suggest this for anyone that has a full fan control motherboard. It comes with a molex power connector and a one wire connector to the motherboard 3 pin sys fan connector. It works, but without all three wires connected to the sys fan connector one cannot control fan speed from the desktop. It could be modified to work, but many would find it too difficult.

Other Thoughts: Good for a motherboard that does not have system fan control because it has a three position switch to set fan speed.

1 out of 5 eggsDark Fans

Pros: Arrived intact, fans function.

Cons: Lights out!

Other Thoughts: I got two Antec Tri-color 80mm fans because I have had good dealing w/them up until. The fans come with molox and three-pin power connections. I tried different connections in my computer, and I have a couple of external power adapters, molox and 3-pin, and ran my tests with them as well.

The results were the same in every case: the fans turned and there was no light whatsoever of any color. I told the tech that I was willing to keep the drives if they would comp me for the lack of light as I needed the fans more than the color. No go. So now I get to go through the hassle of RMA ; not happy about this, with anyone.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you, the fans that you've purchased does not have a LED light on them. We have a Tricool fans that has different LED's. Please double check on your purchase.

4 out of 5 eggssomewhat misleading

Pros: Can really move some air on high, low and medium not very noisy, easy to install and actually came with their own screws

Cons: Requires the 4 pin power connected to run.

Low and Medium are slightly lackluster, but definitely quieter, options. If you have a medium-to-high end GPU and Processor that can pump out some heat you will need to run on high most of the time. Not worth deducting an egg over my selection of using an older, smaller case with 80mm fans instead of getting a newer one with larger mounting brackets for larger fans to move more air.

Other Thoughts: Deducted an egg because it requires the 4-pin power connected to the PSU to run, using just the 3 pin won't fire the fans up on any setting, contrary to advertising for this item. All my former case fans (two older 80mm Antec's and a random 80mm from another build) ran using just the 3 pin connector to the motherboard.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Does what it's supposed to. Has a 3-speed switch which is nice. Has a connection for direct hookup to the power supply if your motherboard is out if case fan connections.

Cons: High speed is quite noisy. Low is quiet, but, obviously may not move enough air in your situation. Switch is on a short cord on the fan and the case must be opened to adjust the speed.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little fan

Pros: This is a great fan that moves a lot of air with little to no noise. I've had two of these install in my htpc build for over a year now and they barely make any noise while keeping my case barely over room temperature. I'm impressed!

Cons: You can hear the fan on the high setting but it's nothing to complain about. I'd imagine that you would hear any fan at 2600 RPM since it's moving air pretty well.

Other Thoughts: Buy it!

3 out of 5 eggsGood Fan, Poor Mounting Hardware

Pros: Fan Works Well
Includes Controller Switch

Cons: Can Get Loud On M/H Settings
Mounting Points Are NOT Threaded
Screws Grip Poorly and Strip Easily

Other Thoughts: The fans are good but the provided mounting screws are extremely poor quality. Combined with hard & untreaded mounting points it makes stripping your screws super easy and overall a pain to install compared to other, higher quality, case fans.

3 out of 5 eggsCheap

Pros: The fans:
- are cheap
- has adjustable speeds
- has good airflow even on low

Cons: Every setting except low is too loud for a personal computer. They are no more than OK. I would only put these in low budget systems.

5 out of 5 eggsBest fan for your money

Pros: Great cooling, adjustable speed, NOT as loud as people say it is

Cons: NONE!!!!

Other Thoughts: This fan has a 3 speed setting and when I overclocked my A6 APU from 2.2GH to 4.0GHz the factory hetsink was great but the fan was too slow. Enter Antec to save the day! if you are worried about the noise then dont be. On the 3rd speed its not loud at all I have my speakers next to my desktop and have no issues hearing it. Antec makes great quality products for cheap prices and they work forever.
