5 out of 5 eggsDecent little fans.

Pros: Does the job.
Moves enough air on low setting to cool some ram.
A far more elegant and sturdy mounting solution then the hokey pokey clamp on method which seems to be the best RAM HS designers can come up with.

Seems to last. I have had one of these for 4 years. Still ticking along without strange noises.

Cons: Blue Leds. This product would be better off without LEDS at all. They are soldered directly to the board so there is no "clipping" them. I suppose one so inclined might be able to desolder them, or just dremel the ends of the board off. I managed to fit a bit of heat shrink tubing over each one. Just make sure you use the smallest tubing possible. Cant have blue with my red.

Other Thoughts: The arm really only adjusts to a stable position once. After that it gets a little sloppy. It is still a far superior mount to regular ram coolers. It is not going anywhere once you work out a good position for it. Cable is short, but in my case it was just right to plug into the MB and not have a bunch of cable flopping around to deal with.

3 out of 5 eggsNice idea... but...

Pros: Excellent concept, 3 position speed selector, ability to add active cooling to passive areas of motherboard fairly easily.

Cons: Arm makes it difficult to direct airflow to certain areas, only comes with blue LEDs, fan has a slight whine sound to it (in comparison to my other fans: Antec Tri-Cool 120mm on low/medium)

Other Thoughts: Make the arm a little bit more flexible/stable, have more options for colors, and the power cord and arm about 2 inches longer, and this would be a 5 star product.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Flexible; moves a lot of air while being relatively quiet at the lowest setting.

Cons: One of the LEDs was making contact with the blades, making a motorboat sound. After several delicate attempts, I was able to adjust the board and clear the blades.
You're only able to get one bend for about 90° at the most. The wire is pathetically short.

Other Thoughts: The blue light is bright. With this positioned over my heatsink, it dropped my northbridge temp about 10-15 °C.

Pros: I like the idea of the fan.

Cons: The flexible support would not hold position, I had to anchor it in place by using the power wires tied back to the case at just the right angle. I am dissapointed and it's just a pain to send back small items like this.

3 out of 5 eggsHandy little fan

Pros: It mounts easily to an existing screw in your case, and has a flexible neck, so you can point it at your hotspot. 3 speed fan switch on the fan.

Cons: If you want to change your fan speed, you'll have to open the case. It's a bit of a trick to get it pointed at just the right angle, if you're working in a tight spot. It's rather loud on med and high, low doesn't move much air. I bought this to cool a pesky GPU, this allowed me to 'push' some air from the front fan into the GPU fan.
I bought this at a local electronics retail store, for ten bucks.

Other Thoughts: {Asus M4A77TD mainboard} {Asus GeForce GTX 260} {Asus Xonar DS}
{Crucial Ballistix Tracer 8GB} {AMD Phenom II 3.4 Quad Core}
{Thermaltake V9 Black Edition case} {Thermaltake 850 modular PSU}
{Lamptron FC-3 fan controller} {Scythe Samurai CPU Cooler}

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but could be much better

Pros: The swivel on the fan allows you to direct air as needed. The fan provides more of an area effect due to the size but it's clearly helping moderate hot spots with my northbridge. The 3 speeds are helpful as well.

Provides a way to focus cooling to normally hard to reach areas.

So kudos there.

Cons: The arm is definately flimsy. In my case, I'm lucky enough to be able to rest it against a video card or the weight of the fan would cause it to limp over. Plus the flexible arm really does not hold it position that well either. I thought for a "spot cooling" it would be a slightly smaller fan to fit into tighter spaces.

The power cable is ridiculously short. Unless you have a fan header next to where you're mounting this, make sure you buy an extension cable as well.

Other Thoughts: I'd buy another one if needed, but a smaller fan, longer power cable, and stornger arm would get a much better rating.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: LED's are nice, and you can point it in any direction. sadly enough thats bout it

Cons: the extension that bends is kinda cheap, doesnt wanna stay in the place i put it. the fan is kinda flimsy, pops in and out when i turn it. blue LED's arent really that bright at all. and it doesnt blow a whole lot of air for the price.

Other Thoughts: its really not that bad of a fan but i dont think its worth the money.

5 out of 5 eggsSpot Cooool

Pros: Excellent cooling to both ram and cpu - sprays cooling breeze in a fairly wide swath.

Cons: Not completely silent. Not as easy to install as I expected.

Other Thoughts: It's cheap and effective - buy two!

3 out of 5 eggsVery convienient

Pros: Nothing else on the market that mounts like this. It's trick! It does it's duty.

Cons: Goose neck doesn't actually work that well, power cable is not really long enough, the fan adjustment design is terrible, no LED off switch or other model without LEDs. (my fan header is right next to the motherboard mounting hole where I mounted this, so it worked for me. I wrapped the cable around the goose neck)

Other Thoughts: Antec, please improve the fan mounting and goose neck. Also a 40mm version would be good.
