4 out of 5 eggsits a Bluray drive

Pros: Works fine, opens quietly, no button it just has plastic over it which I like.

Cons: No software bundle. Worked great compared to my previous DVD drive

5 out of 5 eggsGood Little fan

Pros: 1. Moves good amount of air on either of the 3 settings.
2. Nifty blue LEDs make for a nice glow effect.
3. Not loud at all.
4. Very easy to mount almost anywhere you have a screw hole.
5. Uses a fan connector on the MB (duh) :P

Cons: 1. If you try and raise the fan blade above the mounting point on the mount arm then the fan will just fall back below it.

2. The unit does feel cheap but I have yet to have any issue with this. Working fine so far with no issues.

No need to deduct any eggs for either of those issues as they really don't affect me.

Other Thoughts: I got this to cool my NB on my Asus Sabertooth x58 board as that MB gets HOT!! Really freaking hot!! Almost to Intels point of max heat.

The stock heatsink already on it makes for a very limited possibility of cooling it without doing a wild custom job on it.

This little guy really helped with bringing down the temps. I set it on low and it really cools it. I put it on high and it freezes it.

Can't beat it for the price and the nice little rebate they have with it right now. grab 1 or 2 and you will not be let down.

1 out of 5 eggsFail

Pros: None

Cons: The fan barely moves any air, draws more power from the mobo than any other fan I got, and barely stays where I put it.

Other Thoughts: the dam fan case poped apart when I first opened the package. it took me an hour to figure out how it went together.

4 out of 5 eggsNot perfect but works for me:)

Pros: I bought this to help keep my ATI HD6950 cool. It is a reference design GPU so it only has the small turbine style intake fan and I needed to direct cool air right at it. The Antec SpotCool with its bendable arm, allows me to mount it to the motherboard tray and bend it over to blow cool air directing into the GPU intake fan. I've lowered my idle temps by about 8c and my under load temps by about 6c.
I spent about $50 on high RPM/CFM case fans and didnt get as good of results as this little $15 fan. So for the price this is a very good deal.

Pros:
-Moves a decent amount of air
-Adjustable arm and fan pivots
-low, mid, and high fan speeds
-mounts almost anywhere

Cons: 2 cons:

-the bendable arm is flimsy. Doesnt hold its own weight very well depending on what placement you have it at in your case.

-LEDs are very, very bright. I like LED fans but this is more like a flashlight with a fan on it.

Other Thoughts: I got the same price at my local electronics store so sorry newegg, not this time :) It gets 4 instead of 5 eggs because of the arm being a little flimsy. Its a design flaw that should have been corrected before Antec put it on the market. That being said, for $15 its a good buy. Very versatile and does what I need it to do.

4 out of 5 eggsWorth the money

Pros: Great for cooling specific components (Northbridge, RAM, GPU, HDD)
Bright LED lights
Flexible

Cons: It's a little too flexible. It's pretty hard to make it bend just the way you want it.

Other Thoughts: If you don't have any use for the fan, you can pull it off and use it as a directional LED light like I did. Just push on the fan blades hard enough and it'll pop right off. Worked great as a set of LED lights for my case after I modded a side window in to it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great, simple solution to move some air onto an area inside your case. The fan is quiet on all speeds. I keep mine on medium speed cooling the NB area. I can't hear it, the rad fans drown out any noise. The LEDS can safely be removed without interfering with the functioning of the fan. Fan power is a standard 3-pin that can be plugged into any system fan header on the mobo.

Cons: The blue LEDS are bright and annoying. There's no way to turn them off without breaking them off (which is what I did).

Other Thoughts: The LEDs were bright and a color that would not match my setup. A simple firm squeeze on some needle nose pliers on the LEDs broke them off easy. Now no more bright, obtrusive light in my case. I also sleeved the cable to match my setup. A 1/8" sleeve fit great (I went black Kobra sleeving and black 3/16" heatshrink with 3:1 shrink ratio).

4 out of 5 eggsPick-a-Spot

Pros: It moves a lot of air.
It pivots.
It can put a lot of light where you point it.
It's true-blue; not aqua, teal, baby-blue, etc... (Matched my Zalman 9900Max-Blue HS.)
On low and medium settings it is relatively quiet.

Cons: The 'stick' mechanism doesn't hold a tight bend.
It's very bright (if you need a night-light, this could be a pro then.)

Other Thoughts: Like another reviewer, I ended up attaching it to the structure of the case rather than the motherboard stand-off. With it's inability to hold a tight bend, there wasn't a good place to point it at the ram or northbridge that didn't conflict with the 24pin ATX cable or video card when attached to the motherboard stand-off.
It really is 80mm, think about that when you are considering trying to place this. "Is there room in your case with that giant heatsink and massive video card for an 80mm wide lolipop?"
Overall, I love it. I leave my PC on at night and now I can walk around it without turning the house lights on. It dropped my NB temps 4deg C at idle (haven't tested it under load yet.) I leave it on medium and I don't notice it amongst all the 120mm & 140mm case fans.

4 out of 5 eggsFlimsy, but works well.

Pros: Really high air flow, perfect for RAM. Quieter then suspected even on High.

Cons: Blue LEDs that CANNOT be turned off. The flexible body is way TOO flexible. You have to angle it so it doesn't collapse under its own weight. But in all honesty that's fixable, the blue lights should have a switch and that's that. -1 egg for no light switch.

Other Thoughts: I think the packaging says "cool blue lights" on it. No Antec, they are not cool at all. At least it gets the job done right.

4 out of 5 eggsGood little fan.

Pros: Moves a good amount of air.
Adjustable arm.
Easy to install.
Cool blue LEDs.
Not too loud (I don't think so, anyway.)

Cons: Arm isn't strong enough to hold the fan in position if you try to raise the fan above the mount point.
Feels cheap.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this to cool the heatsink covering the VRMs to the left of the CPU socket (Asus Sabertooth 990FX board) since my CPU cooler doesn't direct any air over them. The temps for that area go down roughly 20c with this thing blowing on the heatsinks set on max speed.

I've recently ordered a second one to blow air over the RAM.

3 out of 5 eggsEffective, but...

Pros: Has low-medium-high settings, all of which move considerable air.

Looks cool.

Rotatable fan.

Easy to install.

Cons: Medium and high settings are pretty loud.

Bendy neck is not very supportive. When I try to move it into a specific configuration, it just falls limp.

Other Thoughts: Bigger and brighter than you think!
