4 out of 5 eggshit or miss

Pros: they work great. better then advertised. out of 5 separate builds useing this cooler. only one failed. so i have to give it only a 4

Cons: after 4 months of average use. one did fail. but let me add that it failed in such a way as to not cause any damage to the system. my computer never did a thermal shutdown. i just noticed that it slowed way down. i checked the temps and noticed the pump had failed.

Other Thoughts: the other computers that i used this cooler with are up 24/7 with constant hardcore gaming. this is a rock solid cooler. i just think i got unlucky.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine but should have gone with Zalman 315

Pros: Installed in a Antec 902 case which limited my choice greatly however in hindsight I could have probably fit a Zalman 315 with a single fan and had 10 extra mm of radiator. I have the antec installed on the rear exit fan location with 2 fans in push pull pulling cold air in which I think is best. It also helps to keep the MB cool in this config and the 902 has a large 200mm exit fan on the top which suffices. Idle temps with no OC are 32c and I rarely see my I7-950 go over 41c. For the bucks this is a hard cooler to beat.

Cons: While researching I got the 620 confused with the 920 and thought this cooler came with software control and it doesn't, only the 920 has this feature, so as stated I should have gone with the Zalman 315 instead. Considering the $30 price difference though and the fact this cooler does the job, I'm not terribly disappointed and quite happy with the 620.

Other Thoughts: Bought the cooler because I began having audio skips on games when the cpu would get over 54c. This cooler nuked that problem.. yeah. Temp became an issue because I have 6 HD in 3 Raid0 with 14Tb storage and a 256 Gb SSD. System has 5 fans but the stock Intel cooler just couldn't hang.

1 out of 5 eggsSecondFailure

Pros: I absolutely have to do a second write up on the second unit I tried. So to start:
-Good construction
-No Leaks
-Operates

This was the second Kuhler 620 I tried. After the first one performed so poorly I decided to exchange it at the store for another one to see if the first one was just a bad unit. Upon exchanging it I noticed that the new one was apparently a "4th generation" version of their cooler, which from all I can see that is different is that the power cables are straight instead of spiraled, the pump plate doesn't have the little circle button looking thing on it, and it comes with a faster, louder fan. There is not allusion to this on Antec's website as all advertising points to the old one still in existence.

Cons: -With FX8350 and an ambient temperature of about 65F, this is letting the processor idle at 47C right now. On warmer days, that will be in the mid 50's. During load on Crysis 3 my temperature shoots way past 70C! That's Crysis 3! Not even Prime95 which I wouldn't even attempt with this useless thing. Completely unacceptable and useless compared to my air cooler. This thing will allow your processor to destroy itself!

-Customer service was garbage. The person who comes on Newegg to tell you to email them only responded once asking me for the details that I already gave them in my first email, and then never responded again.

Other Thoughts: I've tried this cooler in every configuration, hoses on top/bottom, personal cougar fans in push/pull going out of the case and coming into the case. Power connector in every mobo pin selection to see if maybe it wasn't receiving enough power. There is no remedy for this poorly performing product. I know it's operating because the radiator gets blisteringly hot. It's just not worth it for what it appears to be. If it's only good for low to mid range processors, then why would I risk having a water cooling system at all when an air cooler works so much better?

How is this thing getting any positive reviews? Must only be from low voltage users. I'll be pulling this thing out as soon as I replenish my thermal paste.

I wont be buying another Antec product.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Much quieter than my stock CPU fan/heatsink, fits well and looks good in the case. With my stock cooler I idles at around 35C but with this I idle around 25C, a major increase.

Cons: It has been said a lot but the instructions are absolutely atrocious. I suggest looking up a tutorial on YouTube and follow those instructions instead. The instruction manual uses one line instructions and use no descriptive language whatsoever. For example, "Adhear the backing in place"

Other Thoughts: Better manual and this product would be almost perfect.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes what it does

Pros: Keeps temps down, quiet, fairly stylish if you actually like looking at your internals. Rubberized hoses don't feel like they will catch on any pins on your mobo.

Cons: NO STICKER
the instructions were a bit terrible. use common sense and you may be better off burning these. They're honestly not the worst instructions, they did help a tiny bit but after you glance thru them just apply your own brain.

Other Thoughts: I had seen my fx-4100 soar to over 70c, so i bought this nifty watercooler. its cheap, simple, and effective. took temps down to 46.5c max under full load @ a 4.3ghz

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic Cooler - Terrible Instructions

Pros: I'm about 20 minutes into a Prime95 blended test with my i5 3570k at 4.2GHz, and it's purring at 45C. Idle temps are typically around 30C. Just can't beat this performance for the price.

Cons: Terribly unclear instructions. For socket 1155/1156, the backboard will likely have to sit at a skewed angle. It's not really a problem, but you'd expect it sit in alignment. Be mindful of the clearance you'll need for the side of the radiator! I'm using an Antec P280 and followed the instructions to the letter; the radiator stuck out of my case blocking the door and will likely do the same to other cases. Simply rotate the radiator. Lastly, the mounting brackets for 1155/1156 requires some assembly, which wont align properly if you attach the clips with the holes farthest out. Make sure the holes are closer to the center of the mounting bracket and it should align perfectly. Don't place thumb screws in the brackets until you've ensure that your bracket is in alignment, because they're annoying to release from the bracket if you've fudged up...

Other Thoughts: Awful instructions aside, this cooler is performing wonderfully.

2 out of 5 eggsNot too impressed.

Pros: Looks cool
Good build quality
Operates

Cons: Using Phenom II 955BE OC to 3.74@1.375v running any Prime95 test sends the temperature to dangerous 70C+ temps. This cooler appears to do virtually nothing for it. It's 42F outside right now and I have the window open, but that ain't helpin. I did a reapplication with AS-5, and it's still peaking outrageously. Also using push/pull with the left over fan from before, never tried it with a single fan.

Other Thoughts: I'm thinking of doing a return to the store I bought this from.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: keeps cpu nice and cool. the installations was a little troublesome and confusing. gets the job done. I am noticing a considerable difference in heat when compared to a regular convection heatsink

Cons: odd installation but it works in the end.

Other Thoughts: would recommend and buy again

1 out of 5 eggsWas going to buy one

Pros: Looks great

Cons: I was going to get one.

Other Thoughts: I was going to buy the 920, but read reviews about there support and decided that if I got one that's defective I sure do NOT want to go thru there support. I would highly recommend to stay AWAY from companies with BAD SUPPORT. Go with a more known manufacture like Cooler Master or Corsair.
