4 out of 5 eggsShhhhhhh

This review is from: ENERMAX TB SILENCE UCTB12 120mm Case Fan

Pros: ultra quiet, that's what I was going for...

Cons: if you have a small case or are overclocking , you should consider another option. these are for those who need silence

4 out of 5 eggsGreat quiet fan.

This review is from: ENERMAX TB SILENCE UCTB12 120mm Case Fan

Pros: It's a solid fan that's extremely quiet. I personally can't hear it when I am doing anything with sound on my computer.
My HDD's are louder then two of these fan installed.
The frame is solid and you can remove the fan blades to clean them if it's needed.

Cons: It can be a little hard to install it the first time as the mounting holes are not pre-drilled.
There are no marks showing the airflow direction on the fan or the box.

Other Thoughts: The airflow exits on the side where the cables run.
Just be prepared to put some strength into installing the fan for the first time.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Fan

This review is from: ENERMAX TB SILENCE UCTB12 120mm Case Fan

Pros: Good airflow with minimal noise. I have six (three intake and three exhaust) running in my NZXT Source 220 case. The noise level is fairly low considering the amount of fans running at once.

Cons: The screws had no taper on the threaded ends. It took considerable effort and force to install them. I stripped the heads on a few. I discovered that per-threading the holes in the fan with screws from my case helped since they had taper on the ends. The plastic is very hard adding to the installation difficulty.

Other Thoughts: I don't like noisy fans on my PC so I decided to see if the fans would run on 5V. They all start up and run fine and are almost completely silent while still providing decent airflow. I may switch back to 12V in the summer.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and Effective

This review is from: ENERMAX TB SILENCE UCTB12 120mm Case Fan

Pros: - Quiet
- Effective

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I moved my machine to the living room and needed to make it quieter since I leave it on all the time. This fan allowed me to accomplish this and I'm very happy! I don't have my machine overclocked and it's not a gaming machine, so it does the job for me. I don't feel much air coming out the back, but it does a good enough job for me.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Quiet

This review is from: ENERMAX TB SILENCE UCTB12 120mm Case Fan

Pros: Very quiet. Almost no sound at all. I've had it for two years and it's working great.

Moves enough air out of the back of the case so as to be useful. That is, the motherboard temperature does go up if I unplug it.

Cons: Doesn't move as much air as some other 120mm fans, due to its low RPM, but that's the trade off for the quietness!

Other Thoughts: While the blades can come off, I've only ever dusted them off while still attached. Given how thin the plastic is on the blades, I wouldn't risk breaking or bending a blade by prying off the propeller just to clean it. A damp cotton swab on a stick is all ya need!

4 out of 5 eggsGood fans

This review is from: ENERMAX TB SILENCE UCTB12 120mm Case Fan

Pros: I bought these looking for something without LEDs that would still allow some light through from the front of my case. As such, these work great as front intake fans. They move a lot of volume without much noise.

Cons: Audible at max speed, but that is to be expected
