4 out of 5 eggs"Massive" Cooling

Pros: Bought this to replace a broken 120mm liquid cooler and temps are running 3-5C cooler than liquid. Definitely read the dimensions because this thing is huge, but if you've got space it will deliver on cooling.

Cons: HUGE. No really, it's about 30% bigger than any air cooler I've used. Depending on your MB configuration, this thing could block off inputs, headers, memory slots, etc... and there's a lot of cases I'm sure this thing won't even fit in.

-1 EGG: One of the corners of my radiator was bent, the box was not damaged so I have to assume it was done when it was packaged. Not a huge deal, I straightened the fins back and I don't see it would ever cause a problem, but enough to knock an egg.

Other Thoughts: The cooler comes with a push fan (that you have to take off to install, but I won't over-think this) and all the hardware to add a pull minus the "Y" cable to split the fan header. I wouldn't take off an egg, but just know you will need to buy a "Y" and a second fan to do a push/pull setup. I know I'm nit picking here, but it's a $2 cable (less than that at cost), they could have thrown it in.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy to Install and Quiet

Pros: I bought this for my system build because it looked to be the easiest to install and had good cooling properties. I am running an i5 processor which is all I need as I am not a gamer and most of the photography work I do doesn't really require an i7. It on an ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard inside a Fractal Designs Arc Midi case

Cons: None Right Now

5 out of 5 eggsLike!

Pros: Good Cooler love how the CPU contact portion looks super flush like its laser cut. If you have the chance you should try it out the cooler itself is quiet and on the Side mounted fans you can even add another for better performance

Cons: Its a tight fit but you're getting pretty good performance for an Aircool setup

Other Thoughts: None

5 out of 5 eggsNice product

Pros: I don't see where people say this thing is hard to mount, it was a breeze once you just look at how the back mounting bracket goes on, (for LGA or AMD sockets) My idle temps are 25.C before the Antec Nano Diamond paste even cured. 36 Celsius while playing Crysis 3 on Ultra with the AA on

Cons: It's not really a con, but more or less my fault, this thing is massive and my side panel won't even fit on my case anymore. But this is a SERIOUS cooler. the direct contact copper pipes disperses heat like no tomorrow

Other Thoughts: If you get one...know your dimensions, this thing is truely a beast

4 out of 5 eggsCool! Loud.

Pros: Definitely works as advertized. Pretty serious cooler.

Cons: It has a whine that I wish wasn't there, but the machine is not in a populated room, so it creates no adverse affects. I wouldn't want it next to my desk though.

5 out of 5 eggsBest for Price

Pros: -Good performance
-Comes with everything to be installed quickly and easily
-2012 friendly (not for 2012 extreme overclocking)
-Good thermal paste
-Better performance than the "you-all-know-it" Hyper 212
-Maybe the best included 120mm fan I've had since... ever (Silent & moves a ton of air)

Cons: (Check before buying) Can interfere with RAM, my G.Skills passed 2mm under the cooler. I knew it would pass, but that's tight. No real con to remove an egg, I knew that before buying it.

Other Thoughts: For the price, you can't go wrong. It is a very good cooler for very good overclocking (3.7ghz on i7 875K @ 1.28125V). Could be a good cooler for the 2012 for stock and mild OC but not for extreme OC, as said before.

If you got the money to afford more, I'm going for the Phanteks now. But if you're no OC geek and simply want a peace of pace for a chill CPU at stock/+1ghz to your CPU, best choice you can do. Grab it.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great on my A10-5800k

Pros: Does its job very well by keeping my CPU idling temp at 28C and under load temp may reach up to 37C but nothing higher than that. I am running the CPU at 4Ghz and used AS 5 thermal paste. Good quality materials and quiet.

Cons: There were no instructions on how to properly tighten the screws for the bar which pushes and holds down the heatsink. I just wrenched one side a half turn and then the other the same and kept alternating until the screws were snug but not too tight. Seemed to have worked fine but I was guessing how much pressure if any was being put on the CPU.

Other Thoughts: Its huge! Know your dimensions before purchasing. Fortunately my mobo suggests using memory slots 2 and 4 first for dual-channel, other wise I don't think a memory stick would have fit in slot 1. For the price though, this thing performs really well and because of its large sized fan it's quiet as well.

5 out of 5 eggsLarge and Chilly

Pros: Works very well, and is very quiet thus far. Installation was very straightforward though slightly more attention to the instructions on which mounting holes are used for which socket brackets would be appreciated. I spent a little while puzzling out the arrangement of the support brackets on there rear. Still, can't say it was really too much of a problem.

Cons: This isn't much of a con as it is a characteristic that is shared by a lot of the air coolers, however, the fan juts out over the DDR slots quite a bit. Plan on getting low profile RAM. You MIGHT be able to get away with higher profile if you only populate the 2nd and 4th slots as is common with many mainboard, but if you are populating all four slots, or if you are required to use A1 and B1, you will want low profile memory. For example, I used Corsair's Vengeange LP, and put the memory into A1/B1 and the fan JUST cleared the top of the memory, maybe an eighth of an inch or less. I will have to remove the fan if I need to remove that memory, just saying.

Also the height is impressive. You will want to double and triplecheck your case dimensions so that you don't have the top of the cooler block scraping the panel.

These aren't really cons per se but the builder needs to be vitally aware of the dimensions on this cooler.

The only con I would say (and not major) is that they do not provide much thermal compound. If you use the recommended method (seen elsewhere on the net) for gently filling in the gaps between the heat pipes and the base, and then ALSO plan on putting on the paste lines down the centerline of each pipe, you probably won't have enough thermal paste from their supply. If you use the "pea shaped blob in the center and smoosh it down" method you'll be fine. I tried to finesse it and ran low on the third pipe. Still temperatures seem to be decent so maybe I ended up with sufficient heat conduction.

5 out of 5 eggscool product (ba dum chhh)

Pros: temps of my cpu at idle were around 30C now theyre around 28C, the big difference comes with gaming. when i was gaming with an AMD a8 cpu my temps were reaching 60C and climbing, with this cooler my temps didnt go above 50C. the fan is silent when set through my motherboard to spin slow, when set at full speed it does make a good amount of noise but thats to be expected

Cons: its big, barely fits in my cooler master 330 case, had to remove the side fan and even then, the side panel almost touches this cooler. i knew this was gonna be a tight fit when i bought it, its big for a reason, in this case bigger is better.

Other Thoughts: installing wasnt very difficult, but make sure to take your time, follow the directions and its pretty easy.i bought another T.B.Silence to put on this for a push pull config and it works great. the fan blades are removeable but it takes some effort. to install this heatsink i needed to remove the motherboard from the case, even so still only took around 20mins to install. totally worth it if you can fit it in your case
