5 out of 5 eggsBest purchase ever!

Pros: Rock-solid mounting system that was really easy to install - much easier than we though it would be. Cooling is excellent, the 8 core amd is running cooler than ever before even under max load.

Best of all this thing is, for all intents and purposes, completely silent. We went from a stock AMD fan that was probably 85db under load to no more than 11 db. We had to repeatedly check to make sure the fan was even running!

Cons: The instructions packaged with the unit are barely adequate. The video provided on NewEgg helped quite a bit though.

Other Thoughts: I wish we had switched to this unit a year ago - if your case can handle the size you'll be very, very pleased.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler if you have the room

Pros: Keeps my cpu 10c cooler vs. the intel stock fan. Installation is easy if you have the motherboard out of your case.

Cons: It is a big large - definitely make sure your case will be able to handle it. If you have the motherboard in your case, it is difficult to install without another person's hands helping you.

Other Thoughts: I have a mid-size case and it was a tight fit, but very much worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsEnermax ETS-T40

Pros: Price, performance, and quiet as can be. Cools great

Cons: It covers up one of my RAM spaces

Other Thoughts: I'm running an AMD 8370 CPU and this thing keeps it cool as can. I was playing GTA V for a few hours and my CPU never got over 30 degrees Celsius. I'm glad I didn't mess with liquid cooling. Between my full tower and this cooler I have no problems at all. It is big though and remember I have a full tower and it still almost touches my side window.

Cons: Heavy and tall

Other Thoughts: Rather easy to install with some initial examination. Mounted to ASRock Z97 Fatal1ty board.

5 out of 5 eggsTower Power!!!

Pros: Excellent cooling capabilities! Have this thing cooling my OC'd i5 4690k to 4400Mhz without breaking sweat! Mounted to an AsRock Fatal1ty Z97 MOBO inside a Rosewill Blackhawk ATX case.
Quiet but can get loud at times.

Cons: Blocks RAM slot 1 but easily resolved by moving fan up a bit. Super big and very heavy can be a problem for cheap mobo's. Had to remove side fan from computer case to make clearance for closing case panel.

Other Thoughts: Size isn't too much of an issue and over clocking is perfect (for me), for the Intel i5 4690k Devil's Canyon processor. Had been running this thing hard for a few months and no problems at all!!!

5 out of 5 eggsPretty cool man

Pros: Solid construction, dropped my FX-8350 OC temps by ~25C

Cons: Fan clips are finicky

Other Thoughts: I installed this on a fresh board. Installation is not as daunting as some of these reviews make it sound; more than likely, they left their boards in their cases.

Use the guide to make sure the fan is mounted on the proper side of the heatsink, and don't force the fan clips; just give them a little wiggle and they'll pop free.

I used Arctic Silver in place of the compound that shipped with the unit, so I can't speak to the efficacy of the latter.

5 out of 5 eggsworks well but.....

Pros: efficient heat dissipation

Cons: installation was easy but the motherboard I installed it on, made it impossible to plugin the fan after mounting. (gigabyte GA-990FXA UD3)

Other Thoughts: IF YOU HAVE THIS MOBO, MAKE SURE YOU PLUGIN THE FAN FIRST, BEFOR MOUNTING

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Cooler

Pros: Easy installation. The thermal paste seems good enough and the fan provides adequate airflow.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: I'm using this on an Intel Core i7-4790K and it keeps the temperature around 70C while running Prime95 (Version 26.6) small FFT's with the fan at 100%. The latest version of Prime95, which really shouldn't be used for this CPU I've read, will push the temperatures well above 100C with the stock Intel cooler. This cooler kept the temperature steady at 100C, which I think is pretty impressive.

5 out of 5 eggsBig, Quiet and Cool

Pros: Much quieter than the unfortunate (not allowed to use "inappropriate words") heat sink/fan combo AMD provides and much better cooling.

Cons: Hopefully you have a large case. Full tower case has less than an inch to spare. This was expected with a 120mm fan so I'm not sure it's a real con...

Other Thoughts: This was for the girlfriend's computer who plays some of the games like Rift and WoW and it's kept her rig plenty cool and with half the noise. I'm happy.
