5 out of 5 eggsSolid.

Pros: This is a big, effective cooler. Don't expect miracles, but this is a must if you need some peace of mind in terms of temps. If you need some space filled in your case, this cooler will definitely do that. The option of installing a push-pull configuration is a plus, too.

Cons: Again, this is cooler is pretty huge. It only fits in my NZXT Source 210 with the tips of the heatpipes resting against the case window.

Other Thoughts: Used this bad boy in my first build cooling an AMD A10-6800k. I would have to say that this device went above and beyond the call of duty when it managed to keep the CPU under critical temperatures even after I mistakenly forgot to remove the plastic cover from the contact area before I installed it. The A10 didnt even need to throttle down to protect itself. After I corrected my tremendous mistake the unit performed leaps and bounds ahead of any sort of stock cooler. Watch out though, this thing is not for small cases.

5 out of 5 eggsHeh, yes, this cooler is pretty huge

Pros: Real solid-feeling construction, looked well-made

Cons: n/a

Other Thoughts: As nearly every other review has mentioned: this thing is gigantic. I'd figured I'd be fine with my full-size tower case but it turns out that my case just isn't "tall" enough for this guy, alas! Be sure to measure it out and compare versus the specs. The cooler itself looked extremely solid and well-made.

3 out of 5 eggsBIG! CAREFUL!

Pros: Its very well built and sturdy but not super heavy for the size so the stress on the motherboard should be less than others.

Cons: Read other

Other Thoughts: This WILL NOT fit a micro atx board. I had tried to measure out the dimensions for the board and cooler before buying and it looked like it would be a tight fit, but a fit. Was not the case. The brackets you need to install will not fit due to some caps (At least on mine) by about 1 cm. I will try this cooler in my main build and update pros when i see how it works

5 out of 5 eggsA Must Buy

Pros: it works very well and is very quiet, so well i was able to lower the speed of my case fans and now I can hardly hear it. it dropped my CPU temps down to 35c idle and 38 under load.

Cons: it's big, it almost did not fit in my Antec 900 case but i knew that before i got it.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a Cooler!

Pros: Excellent cooling. Robust mounting system. Quiet fan. Price.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The mounting brackets are rock solid and the sparse diagrams and instructions are accurate. I had to screw and unscrew the screw-spacers into the brace bracket holes before mounting after discovering how tight they were while trying to do it with the brace bracket beneath the motherboard initially. Basically, it was tough to screw into, so essentially I loosened up the holes by pre-screwing and unscrewing the screws into them, kind of like tap and die, to remove interfering material. After that, in mounting position, the screws went into the holes much more easily. Additional prep work included, it took me 45 minutes to install (remove motherboard, install cooler, re-install motherboard). Overall, low difficulty, if you follow the instructions and understand the diagrams.

Trumps liquid cooling by providing equal or better temperature reduction (a) without moisture risk, while (b) costing much less. However, the risk of liquid cooling might be acceptable if you need the same level of cooling, and by same level I mean expensive liquid cooling, but your case isn't big enough for the Enermax ETS-T40-TB.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome! ...but a tight fit

Pros: Amazing!
- Beastly air cooling
- Some of the lowest air temps I've ever seen. I'm getting better temps on this than I did with a big Spire Thermax heatsink. I don't know how or why, but I am.
- Solid construction
- Great quality fan - very quiet on the lower fan RPM's
- Comes with separate thermal grease that isn't pre-applied so you don't have to clean off the heatsink if you want to use your own Arctic Silver.

Cons: The edges are sharp and can be crushed if you aren't careful! This can also be tricky to install. On my motherboard specifically, with the orientation of the heatsink/fan I needed to use to vent air out of the back of the case, the fan had to be on the memory slot side of the CPU socket. Although everything fit just fine, it was a very tight fit. I had to remove the memory sticks (Ripjaws), attach the heatsink, then put the memory back in. If the fan was 1mm deeper, my memory wouldn't have been able to fit. As it is now, the heatsink presses very slightly on my RAM. Secondly, do your best to install this heatsink on the first try and never remove it. The way the heatpipes are integrated into the CPU contact plate isn't mirror finish across the whole contact plate. It's polished and smooth over the whole surface, however there are grooves on the sides of the heatpipe contact areas, so your thermal grease can get all gunked up in there and it's a pain to clean if you're re-using the heatsink.

Other Thoughts: This is a big cooler in length and depth, but it is also surprisingly squat and not overly tall, so this cooler is a great choice for powerful, compact builds. Just be sure to do some measuring before you purchase and keep all of your shipping materials when you receive it in case it doesn't fit and you have to return it. If you can manage to plan and fit it in your case though, this is probably one of the best air coolers I've ever used and seen. It also comes with Enermax thermal grease, but I can't really speak much about that since I used my own Arctic Silver 5. It's nice though, that the grease comes packaged separately, and I can use it in some of my experimental builds where I just need to test CPU's or components out.

5 out of 5 eggsEnermax#: ETS-T40-TB cpu cooler

Pros: This is the ONLY large 120mm cpu cooler that will fit in a 4u rackmount its about a 1/4" shorter than a hypermax or others.

Cons: Not a well known brand?

Other Thoughts: None

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very quiet
Very cool
Extremely easy fan attachments
Comes with thermal paste
Easy setup

Cons: Quite large, check the height before buying. Also it might interfere with ram but you can move the fan a bit to make it fit.

Other Thoughts: Bought this cooler to replace my stock AMD fan that was roaring when I was playing games. Fan stays very quiet while at full load and you can always swap for a quieter fan if you wish.
My AMD stock temps were around 80C while gaming and 50C while idle. This cooler dropped that to 50C gaming and 30C idle.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible Heatsink!!

Pros: Incredible Cooling, Can add 1 more fan for more cooling efficiency, Great product for the price.

Cons: None So far!! Will report back if anything bad happens.

Other Thoughts: At first i was intimidated by it since it looks so bulky i was worried that it might not fit since the heatsink was so close to the fans and i thought it didn't fit but it did. I was worried as well since i live in Florida the temperatures can reach up to 90 to 92 and it gets really hot in my room without AC. I am surprised the stock cooler barely could hold since temperatures of the CPU were reaching 71c on full load. With this heatsink temperatures were extremely reduced when computer is idling temperatures reach 19c degrees and under full load reaches 51c. That tells me that this is a powerful cooler especially for the right price. BTW this is normal operations and does not pertain to overclocking.
