The blue is very bright although if you use a fan controller they do get dimmer. I keep these at full blast because they really aren't that loud. Cons: None that I can think of. I mounted these on the side of my case as an intake over my video card. Cons: Of the two I bought one runs extremely slow. I figure by the time I pay shipping to RMA it I could have just bought another fan. I swapped it out with another 140mm I had in my closet and just cut my losses on this one. I bought five supposedly quiet 140mm fans, but only this on is acceptable. I have it hooked to the 4-pin system fan post on my GA-970A-UD3 motherboard, and have the system smart fan disabled on that post. It shows 785 RPM. I have it as a bottom fan on my Cougar Evolution case. Concerning the LED lights - they are many and bright; could cause disturbing glare if pionted at your eyes. I had to cover about 5 of them up because of that. No biggie. Still worlds of blue left. Cons: None Other Thoughts: I bought 2 high dollar PWM fans and with BIOS system smart fan enabled they had a buzzing noise at low RPM. This disappeared at full speed.
