Combining outstanding cooling capability and multi-color LED lighting brilliance, the ENERMAX T.B. VEGAS QUAD fans raise the bar high in PC case cooling solution. It has 4-color LEDS with blue, red, green and white, plus 6 switchable lightening modes. The unique circular type LEDs come with 48 (4x12) diodes and are up to five times brighter than any other LED fans. The blades are also designed with a focus to center the light to increase the brightness of the LEDs. Twister bearing technology ensures long lifetime up to 100,000 hours with low noise. The fan speed and noise are regulated by PWM speed control, while smart APS (Adjustable peak speed) control provides 3 peak rpm options. The isolator-mount, instead of commonly used screws, allows easy installation and helps absorb vibration, while the detachable blade design makes the cleaning work a breeze.

  • newegg Adjustable Peak Speed (APS) With a small switch at the edge of the bearing, the peak speed can be changed between three modes: Ultra Silent Mode (500-1000rpm), Silent Mode (500-1300rpm), and Performance Mode (500-1600rpm).
  • newegg Twister Bearing Twister bearing technology uses a nano magnetic design, which is self-lubricating and minimizes friction. This results in a maximum fan life-cycle with minimum noise. In addition, the innovative modular frame eliminates buzzing sounds by enhancing the stability of the structure.
  • newegg Four-Color LEDs with Six Modes Circular type LED with 48 (4x12) diodes delivers up to five times brighter luminance than other LED fans. The four-color (Blue/Red/Green/White) LED, with six switchable modes, performs non-stop light play, producing radiant, splendid color fun that makes your computer stand out.
  • newegg Carved Halo Frame The carved halo frame design provides powerful cooling with 20%~30% higher airflow.
  • newegg Detachable Blades The detachable fan blades make cleaning quick and easy.

5 out of 5 eggsAdult supervision required

Pros: Can operate solely as a red, blue or green fan, or be shut off entirely. Vegas mode will cycle all colors and flash modes.
Rubber iso mounts are useful but you can use spare fan screws if you find them too difficult.
Fan hub is removable so you can clean the blades and lubricate the twister bearing.
Pulse width modulated motor to allow your motherboard fine control of the fan speed (four pin motherboard header required), and adapter is included if a pwm header is not available..

Cons: No speed limiter switch on this model.

Other Thoughts: The removable fan hub design causes the fan bearing to require more maintenance than a regular sealed and fixed fan hub bearing (but results in a longer lifespan). If you buy an Enermax fan and notice a bit of ticking noise coming from the fan this is completely normal, just pop the hub off and apply a drop of oil to the shaft and reassemble, complaining and demanding RMA's is a foolish waste of time as the product is not actually broken and just requires a minutes worth of maintenance.
Any non-detergent oil will work like 3in1 household oil in the blue bottle or some light grease like a synthetic brake caliper lube will work as well, time between oiling ranges in the 12 to 24 month range, the bearing will tell you if it is thirsty .
With very casual maintenance Enermax fans will last the life of your current computer and the life of your next computer with ease.

1 out of 5 eggsStarted okay but then......

Pros: Very quiet when I first installed it and it moved a lot of air. Cool colors if you like that sort of thing.

Cons: Installed in my PC second week of December '13 and now it's April '14 and the thing sounds like it's scrambling eggs! I made sure nothing moved in the case that is touching the fan - it's just dying on me and the noise is driving me crazy!

Other Thoughts: Poor quality and life span. For $20 it should have lasted much longer. I'm in IT and can't wait for shipping to get a replacement so it's off to the local store to pay $$$ for a new one.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the inconvenience. Enermax fans come with 1 year limited warranty. Since you purchased on December 2013, the fan is covered under warranty. Please submit an RMA request with the link below so that we can send you an replacement fan.

1 out of 5 eggsnevermind this brand.

Pros: absolutely none.

Cons: received it broke... tried to RMA but they want $10 for shipping a .40lbs fan... are you kidding me.. im not spending 10 dollars on a return that should be free.

Other Thoughts: not interested in this brand, and im loosing my patience with newegg all together which is sad because I've spend at least $1500 here in the past 2 years.

1 out of 5 eggsENERMAX T.B. Vegas Trio UCTVT12P 120mm Blue/Red/Green LED Case Fan with Changeable Modes PWM Function

Pros: None unfortunately.

Cons: Dead on arrival. LED's do not work period. The fan spins fine but the 3 - 4 pin molex adapter was busted in the package.

Other Thoughts: Going to give these guys another shot but if I am disappointed a second time, best believe I will not be pleased with this company or their products.

5 out of 5 eggsGood fans, great light show

Pros: Quiet
PWM
Decent Airflow
Awesome amount of LEDs
Ample cable length for almost any chassis

Cons: Just a pet-peeve of mine when it comes to LED PWM fans - the brightness depends on the fan speed...when lower voltages are being sent to the fan to throttle back the speed, most of them will severely dim the LEDs or shut them off completely due to the lower voltage (should be common sense to almost all of us). I wish there was some way to keep the LEDs going full bore while the fans are put in to idle or low RPM mode. It's a limitation of the technology, and not a fault with this fan, so I'm not taking away any eggs.

Other Thoughts: I have been using a pair of these fans for over a year now and have been running them in various case positions as I have changed cases/builds...side intake, front intake, rear exhaust. The PWM function is a must have for me, as it's the 21st century and I feel that all computer fans should be PWM capable by now. These fans work outstandingly no matter what duty I have assigned to them. At moderate to high RPM, they look pretty dang cool - blink blink blinkety blink. Solid red LED setting goes very well with the ROG theme.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: High air flow. Silent, bright colors. having the option between red, green, blue, and even all 3 is awesome. its a one stop buy. giving you options in the future. say you have a red build but want a blue build. well you are safe knowing you wont have to change your fans.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: awesome

Pros: nice bright colors. variety of nice color combinations.

Cons: where to keep the switch?inside the case? outside? i bought 2. 1 of them you have to press 2 times for every color to change.

Other Thoughts: i hooked it up directly to the psu (meaning no speed/noise control) working at full speed,it still quite and awesome looking

1 out of 5 eggsBad Luck Draw

Pros: It spins

Cons: Well, the LEDs were not programmed correctly, or something. I can't use only one color like I planned on, it's either all of them or none of them. They don't even work at all when plugged into a 4pin system fan on my motherboard. Very disappointed that I basically bought trash for $20.

Other Thoughts: Was a fan of enermax for a month, now I'm not.

5 out of 5 eggsFollow up.

Pros: This is a follow up review of the Enermax Vegas Trio 120mm chassis fan. Still to this day I have no problems, no buzzing, not ONE dead led diode... NOTHING. Pay for the best and GET the best. Simple. Read my earlier review to learn more about this product. Buy these fans if you need virtually SILENT operation with minimal noise attributes. Put 2 of them together for TREMENDOUS air flow at magnificently low noise attributes compared to other fans.

Cons: Cons? What Cons? ~_~

Other Thoughts: Again... What Cons? Thank you Enermax for this AMAZING product. This is my first sway to Enermax and I'm guaranteed to return. - ADAM
